Looks more like Baitullah did receive his Hellfire Enema , and may have gone on to receive his 72 Virgin male goats !
Drinks are in order !

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistan believes Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud, who has a $5 million U.S. bounty on his head, was probably killed with his wife and bodyguards in a missile attack, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Friday.

An intelligence officer in South Waziristan told Reuters that Mehsud's funeral had already taken place, while Pakistani media cited their own security sources saying Mehsud was dead.

"He was killed with his wife and he was buried in Nargosey," the officer said, referring to a tiny settlement about 1 km (half a mile), from the site of the missile attack, believed carried out by a pilotless U.S. drone aircraft.

Malik said: "We suspect he was killed in the missile strike. We have some information, but we don't have material evidence."

Muslims again are Proving what a class act they really are !
Suicidal And Murderous Fanatics of a Death cult called Islam !!

AP
BAGHDAD — A suicide truck bomber flattened a Shiite mosque Friday in northern Iraq, and roadside bombs struck Shiite pilgrims in Baghdad, as at least 51 people were killed and scores wounded nationwide.

It was the second-deadliest day since U.S. forces turned over urban security to the Iraqis more than a month ago, raising fears that Sunni insurgents are intensifying a campaign to re-ignite sectarian violence that pushed the country to the brink of civil war.

The blast in a northern suburb of Mosul reduced the mosque and several nearby houses to rubble, leaving scores of worshippers and neighbors trapped underneath. Rescue crews and ordinary citizens joined forces to pull bodies from the debris and search for survivors.

At least 38 people were killed and some 200 wounded, according to police.

The attack targeted a mosque used by members of the minority Shiite Turkomen community in the tense northern city, which the U.S. military has dubbed the last urban stronghold of al-Qaida in Iraq. Suicide car bombings are the signature style of attack used by the terror network.

Pakistani secret service funding islamic militants

Business as usual in Pakistan New York Times via Jihadwatch

What is more, the country’s intelligence agencies have a long history of nurturing militants as proxy forces over the heads of the police. Few civilian victims, judges or even police officials dare to buck what Pakistanis take for granted as an untouchable network of support.

Such was the case with Hafiz Saeed, a cleric who was freed from house arrest in June, despite abundant evidence that his group was behind the attacks in Mumbai, India, that killed more than 160 people last year.

Mr. Ishaq is no exception. Pakistan’s spy agency, hedging against the Shiite revolution in neighboring Iran and in favor of the fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan, began pouring money into hard-line Sunni groups like his in the 1980s.[...]

The police are corrupt, asking for money to pursue cases and fulfilling illegal orders from higher-ups to make deals with criminals. Intelligence agencies also interfere by seizing a militant, taking him out of circulation for months and then dumping him on the police when his crime is long cold.

A Letter to flag@whitehouse.gov

Rush Limbaugh......Is right about you. The fact that you would have the American people reporting each other to their elected officials simply for expressing their rightful opinions is vile and contemptible. Your proposed healthcare plan carries many sections that clearly violate God-given rights, such as care for potentially fatal illnesses along with fertility and pre-natal care. Sections involving government officials telling American people how to raise their children are equally disgusting.

Completely free of sarcasm, and with full sincerity, a better way to ensure that American children are raised properly is to end the crutch of permanent welfare and to crack down on those who shirk on their child support responsibilities. Re-introduce responsible parents by removing government dependency. But of course, dependency on the government is what is wanted by most liberal politicians, right?

It is time that you, the government, gave back the power to the PEOPLE of America, and stopped thinking that you know what is best for us. You were, believe it or not, citizens once, just like us. "Were" being the stressed word, as you lied, bribed, and wormed your ways into office to empower yourselves and those as selfish as you are. Create a dependency on the government for the people, and of course you'll always be in power. Take away options, and solutions, and what's left? Why, the government! Of course, without the people to begin with, there would not BE a government. What's going to happen when the people, as they have already begun, figure out what is going on in Washington D.C.? They will demand the rights they are promised by the Constitution of the United States of America be given back to them, because that is what they are. Rights. Not privileges, not rewards, they are rights. And the left-wing government is taking them away step by step, right by right.

Admittedly, I (though I cannot speak for Colin, my fellow writer) can't say that I ever wanted Obama to outright fail. He was elected the President, and whether I believed in (which I didn't) what he stood for, or said he stood for, it was time for that to be beside the point. It was time to rally, and give him support, and hope that he acted in the best interests of the country. Unfortunately, (and we both agree on this point) he has done absolutely nothing for the good of the country. He has lied, deceived, fear-mongered, and employed double standards time and time again to try and ensure that both he and his colleagues have ultimate power.

For far too long have the American people been under the rule of a congressional system that was never supposed to have this level of rule. The American people were supposed to have officials that worked for a living, not officials that vote themselves pay raises and receive unlimited taxpayer-funded pensions for even the minimal service in office. We were promised statesmen and were given politicians.

That being said, the American people are the only people to blame for allowing such rampant and irresponsible leftism into our country. However, doubt not that your reign stands on the edge of exposure. Start working for the people (and not working the people), or you may face the renowned and legendary wrath and individualism of the American people. That is not meant to be taken as a threat. Simply an observation. Our collective lack of foresight and enlightenment allowed your rise to power, and our collective growth of foresight and enlightenment can easily strip it from you. (So as to null any thoughts of us threatening our glorious leaders, we want to re-iterate that we are referring to peaceful protest and the elections of 2010 and 2012, not violent revolution.)

Fully realizing that we will be called nothing more than rabble-rousers at worst, and right-wing "extremists" at best, we submit this letter in an effort to organize thoughts and ideas, emotions and ideals being echoed all across our great, albeit threatened, country by both Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike. We, and others, fully realize that we could be, and have been, persecuted for our beliefs (nay, for our HOPE) that we, and others, dare to speak out loud against this transparently socialist regime. Yet we will do so. Not for fame, or attention, but for love of our country. We, and others, do so as patriots and not as antagonists. We, and many others, do so as free men, and not as sheep. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Colin Paul William Weaver, and Kyle Tyler-Ash Lowry, American citizens.

P.S. We are not, nor have ever been, a part of any "unruly mob". We are not, nor have ever been, on the payroll of any special interest group or political party. We wish we could say the same for you.

P.P.S You should be glad this letter is as short as it is. Our list of grievances by no means ends here.

P.P.P.S. Despite our calm approach to the writing of this letter, we are madder than hell.

"Psychological barriers" reason for lack of action on climate change

I guess I have a psychological barrier to bullshit. Yahoo! News

Psychological barriers like uncertainty, mistrust and denial keep most Americans from acting to fight climate change, a task force of the American Psychological Association said on Wednesday.

Policymakers, scientists and marketers should look at these factors to figure out what might prod people take action, the task force reported at the association's annual convention in Toronto.[...]

Numerous psychological barriers are to blame, the task force found, including: uncertainty over climate change, mistrust of the messages about risk from scientists or government officials, denial that climate change is occurring or that it is related to human activity.

Canada pissed about Russian plan to parachut in artic

"We're always going to meet any challenge to that territorial sovereignty," Mr. MacKay added, "and I can assure you any country that is approaching Canadian airspace, approaching Canadian territory, will be met by Canadians." National Post

Russian officials are surprised by Canadian reactions to a Russian mission to the North Pole. Canwest News Service Russian officials are surprised by Canadian reactions to a Russian mission to the North Pole.

Russia is expressing confusion over critical comments made by Defence Minister Peter MacKay about a planned Russian paratrooper jump at the North Pole next spring, insisting that the mission should pose no problem since the top-of-the-world drop site is beyond the jurisdiction of any country.

The proposed parachute operation - described last week by a Russian general as a "peaceful" anniversary celebration of a landmark achievement by two Soviet scientists 60 years ago - prompted an icy response from Mr. MacKay, who suggested Canada would scramble fighter jets to "meet" any Russian aircraft "approaching" Canada's airspace.

"We're going to protect our sovereign territory," Mr. MacKay said Friday in Halifax, a day after a Russian embassy spokesman had downplayed the scheduled parachute mission as a "solely symbolic" event unrelated to disputed seabed boundaries in the Arctic Ocean.

Pro-Mousavi Iranians chant "death to the dictator"

Old news , nothing may come of this round of protests , It is amusing that it is still going on !
Just wait till the Next elections !

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Hundreds of supporters of Iranian opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi chanted "death to the dictator" in Tehran on Thursday, a witness said, a day after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was sworn in as president.

The renewed protests come despite a heavy police presence and the mass trial of some 100 leading reformers accused of fomenting the unrest that has continued for eight weeks since disputed June 12 polls returned hard-liner Ahmadinejad to office.

"Hundreds of people are in Vanak square, chanting 'death to the dictator'. Others are also honking car horns," said the witness. "Hundreds of riot police are there as well."

The witness said riot police tried to disperse protesters.

"They are telling protesters to leave the area or face being arrested," the witness said.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (Reuters) - Mexican drug gangs are killing rivals in record numbers in a major setback for the government, which will seek more support from U.S. President Barack Obama when he visits the country this weekend.

Severed heads, burned bodies, daylight shootouts and dead children are daily fare from Mexico's Caribbean to its desert border with the United States, even as army generals pour soldiers and elite police onto city streets.

Last month was the deadliest month of President Felipe Calderon's nearly three-year army assault on powerful cartels across Mexico with 850 deaths, according to media tallies.

The death rate so far this year stands at around 4,000, about a third higher than in the same period in 2008 despite a brief lull earlier in the year.

Mexico has managed to disrupt cocaine supplies and make some major arrests but top barons are still at large and more than 13,000 people have died in drug violence since Calderon took office in December 2006.

"We're in a very decisive, very intense phase. There is no quick solution," said Hector Garcia, the top federal prosecutor in Chihuahua state bordering Texas and home to more than a third of killings in Mexico this year.

It may Not be considered a threat , but you can Guarantee there are U.S Subs not far Behind them !

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two nuclear-powered Russian attack submarines have been patrolling off the eastern seaboard of the United States in the first mission of its kind so close to shore in nearly a decade, U.S. officials said on Wednesday.

The Pentagon said it was not alarmed by the maneuvers, carried out by what officials described as Soviet-designed Akula-class submarines in international waters as little as 200 miles off the coast.

The Russian operation comes at a time when President Barack Obama is pushing to "reset" relations between the two former Cold War rivals.

Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said Obama saw that rivalry as "long passed" and that Washington was keeping an eye on the two vessels.

"So we don't look at this action and automatically see threatening motives," Morrell said. "We view this, we are mindful of it, we watch it, but we do not assign motives that we don't believe are there."

He said the Russian vessels were free to operate in international waters. "It doesn't cause any alarm within this building (the Pentagon).... It doesn't pose any threat," Morrell added.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - The wife of Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was killed on Wednesday in a missile strike by a suspected U.S. drone in the South Waziristan tribal region, a relative told Reuters.

It was uncertain whether Mehsud was present when the missiles struck a house belonging to his father-in-law in Makeen, an almost inaccessible village in the heart of Mehsud lands on the Afghan border.

The United States has placed a $5 million reward on the head of Mehsud, an ally of al Qaeda widely regarded in Pakistan as Public Enemy No. 1.

Shortly before 1.00 a.m. (3 p.m. EDT Tuesday), two missiles struck the sprawling, high-walled compound of Ikramuddin Mehsud, a cleric whose daughter, Baitullah Mehsud, got married last November.

North Korea frees two U.S. journalists after Clinton trip

Nicely done Bill , Glad to see these two out of prison !
And all done in a timely fashion , maybe Mr. Clinton will get talks going again !
I guess all it takes is for a High profile American to go there And Dis the United States !

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea released two jailed American journalists on Tuesday after a visit from former U.S. President Bill Clinton in the highest-level U.S. contact with Pyongyang since Clinton was president nearly a decade ago.

North Korea's KCNA news agency said North Korean leader Kim Jong-il had issued a "special pardon" to the two journalists, Euna Lee and Laura Ling of U.S. media outlet Current TV, which was co-founded by Clinton's vice president, Al Gore.

The two journalists were arrested on the North Korea-China border in March and accused of illegal entry. A North Korean court sentenced both of them last month to 12 years of hard labor for what it called grave crimes.

There were immediate questions about what Clinton had discussed with Kim beyond the fate of the two reporters during a visit that gave Kim what he craved -- direct U.S. attention and a visit from a highly placed emissary.

The news agency insisted that Clinton "courteously conveyed a verbal message of U.S. President Barack Obama expressing profound thanks for this and reflecting views on ways of improving the relations between the two countries."

The White House had denied that Clinton carried any sort of message from Obama, but Obama officials otherwise remained silent while awaiting the diplomatic negotiations to unfold.

Hizbollah has 40,000 rockets

Hizbollah has doubled its stockpile of surface to surface rockets since the war with Israel in 2006. Good to see that UNifil did its job of preventing Hizbollah from rearming.

Anyone who knows islamic law could have seen this coming. Any islamic army that agrees to a ceasefire, or hudna is islam, uses the period of calm to rearm and then attack when they are stronger. Times Online

According to Israeli, United Nations and Hezbollah officials, the Shia Muslim militia is today stronger than it was in 2006 when it took on the might of the Israeli army in a war that cost the lives of 1,191 Lebanese and 43 Israeli civilians.

Hezbollah has stockpiled up to 40,000 rockets and is training its forces to use ground-to-ground missiles capable of hitting Tel Aviv and anti-aircraft missiles that could challenge Israel’s dominance of the skies over Lebanon.[...]

Hezbollah’s rearming is in the name of “resistance” against Israel. But the real reason probably has more to do with its ally Iran. If Israel carries out its threat to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, then the main retaliation is likely to come from its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon. Hezbollah is Iran’s insurance policy.

All sides agree that the threat is not a bluff. Last month the scale of the Hezbollah build-up was revealed after an explosion at a huge Hezbollah ammunition bunker in the village of Khirbet Slim, 12 miles from the Israeli border.

Surveillance footage, obtained by The Times, reveals that Hezbollah fighters desperately tried to salvage rockets and other munitions from the site, while obstructions were placed in the way of Unifil peacekeepers coming to investigate.

GHAZNI, Afghanistan (Reuters) - The Taliban have warned Afghans that possessing pictures of "unrelated women and handsome boys" was against Islamic law and owning "shiny new phones" runs contrary to their religious dignity.

The Taliban have been posting "night letters" in the volatile southeastern province of Ghazni, reminding Afghans of their religious obligations and reiterating warnings that they will attempt to disrupt crucial presidential elections on Aug. 20.

In a restatement of the Taliban's austere interpretation of Islam, one letter warned people, especially the young, against using hi-tech gadgets such as cell phones with photography and video functions.

"People with camera cellphones must not have pictures of unrelated women and handsome boys in their phones, which is against Islamic sharia," reads one letter, obtained by Reuters on Monday. Sharia is Islamic religious law.

Britain To Put CCTV Cameras Inside Private Homes

Big brother is watching you!

Exit question: WTF is wrong with Britain? Wired

£400 million ($668 million) will be spend on installing and monitoring CCTV cameras in the homes of private citizens. Why? To make sure the kids are doing their homework, going to bed early and eating their vegetables. The scheme has, astonishingly, already been running in 2,000 family homes. The government’s “children’s secretary” Ed Balls is behind the plan, which is aimed at problem, antisocial families. The idea is that, if a child has a more stable home life, he or she will be less likely to stray into crime and drugs.

It gets worse. The government is also maintaining a private army, incredibly not called “Thought Police”, which will “be sent round to carry out home checks,” according to the Sunday Express. And in a scheme which firmly cements the nation’s reputation as a “nanny state”, the kids and their families will be forced to sign “behavior contracts” which will “set out parents’ duties to ensure children behave and do their homework.”

Fatah congress to keep "armed struggle" option

So basically everything will remain the same !

BETHLEHEM, West Bank (Reuters) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction opened its first conference in 20 years on Tuesday, set to endorse a two-state solution but keep an option of "armed struggle" with Israel.

Officials said a draft of Fatah's new programme calls for new forms of resistance such as civil disobedience against Jewish settlement expansion and a West Bank barrier Israel says is for security but which Palestinians see as a land grab.

Crucially, the draft leaves open the option of "armed struggle" if peace talks with Israel fail and does not rule out a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood in the West Bank and Gaza Strip if peace negotiations remain stalemated.

Fatah's 400 delegates who live in the Gaza Strip were banned from traveling to the city of Bethlehem for the conference by the territory's Hamas rulers.

SEOUL (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Bill Clinton made a surprise visit to North Korea on Tuesday to try to win the release of two jailed U.S. journalists, a move some analysts said could mark the isolated state's return to dialogue over nuclear weapons.

Clinton's trip follows months of military provocations by the impoverished North which has turned its back on negotiations with regional powers, including the United States and China, to convince it to give up ambitions to build an atomic arsenal.

North Korea's KCNA news agency said the country's chief nuclear negotiator, Kim Kye-gwan, was among those greeting Clinton -- whose administration was reported to have considered bombing the North's Yongbyon atomic plant in the early 1990s.

"As soon as he arrives, he will be entering negotiations with the North for the release of the female journalists," South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a source as saying.

Christian Family Burned to Death in Pakistan After Koran is 'Defiled'

Peace , love , and Islam ! Does not quite go together !Exspecially when you read this article ! But still they will say , Islam is Peaceful ! Islam is a joke ! And it needs to be flushed right along with the Koran !

Fox News
Paramilitary troops patrolled the streets of a town in eastern Pakistan yesterday after Muslim radicals burned to death eight members of a Christian family, raising fears of violence spreading to other areas.

Hundreds of armed supporters of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an outlawed Islamic militant group, burned dozens of Christian homes in Gojra over the weekend after allegations that a copy of the Koran had been defiled.

The mob opened fire indiscriminately, threw gas bombs and looted houses as thousands of frightened Christians ran for safety. “They were shouting anti-Christian slogans and attacked our houses,” Rafiq Masih, a resident of the predominantly Christian colony, said. Residents said that police stood aside while the mob went on the rampage. “We kept begging for protection, but police did not take action,” Masih said.

Police and local officials said that at least eight people, including four women and a child, were killed in the fires. Two others died of gunshot wounds. Residents said that the casualties were much higher; one claimed that the number of dead could be in the dozens as many bodies were still buried under the rubble. Shahbaz Bhatti, the Minister for Minorities, said that 40 Christian homes were torched in rioting. He said there was no truth to allegations that a Koran had been defiled, and accused the police of ignoring his appeal to provide protection to Christians.

Posters Spotted Portraying Obama as 'The Joker'

I don't recall ever seeing this when George W . was in office !
I have a great one for someone good with photoshop ! Along the same lines but with the word "Jackass" above it !

fox news

President Obama's been called a lot of things -- but this is probably the first time any campaign has tried to peg him as flat-out creepy.

A slew of posters have been spotted throughout Los Angeles that portray Obama as "The Joker" from "The Dark Knight," with the word "socialism" printed in black above and below his face.

The posters show the president decked out in the kind of unnerving makeup Heath Ledger used in the latest Batman. Obama's face is painted white, his eyes have dark circles around them and two red scars curl up from the corner of his mouth

It's unclear who is producing and distributing the sinister posters. They come as Democrats and Republicans continue to battle over health care reform -- which some critics warn will lead to a government takeover of health care.
Just remember this ! Below.

Somali pirates free German, Malaysian vessels

"It is with great relief that I have learned the crew of the Hansa Stavanger has been freed," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said in a statement. "My thanks goes to those who worked tirelessly to bring about a solution."
Uh , If you were going to wuss out and pay the ransom Anyway why go through the trouble of working so tirelessly ?
Paying these jackass's is really not the Solution , sure it gets everyone out safely , and that is a good thing , It should be the Main goal !
Then what is the Solution ? Not real sure , But these asswipes should never touch land again !

mogadishu) - Somali pirates freed a German ship seized in April on Monday after receiving a ransom and a Malaysian-owned tug boat has also been released after being held for more than seven months.

The German-flagged container vessel Hansa Stavanger was captured about 400 miles off the southern Somali port of Kismayu on April 4 with 14 Filipinos, five Germans, three Russians and two Ukranians on board.

"We are now in Haradheere town. We left the ship after we took the money," pirate Hassan told Reuters by telephone from the Somali piracy haven. "I believe it has sailed away."

The pirates said earlier on Monday they had received a $2.7 million ransom for the release of the 20,000 ton ship, owned by Hamburg shipping company Leonardt & Blumberg.

"It is with great relief that I have learned the crew of the Hansa Stavanger has been freed," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said in a statement. "My thanks goes to those who worked tirelessly to bring about a solution."

The European Union Naval Force patrolling the perilous shipping lanes off Somalia said its ships were escorting the Hansa Stavanger to sea.

MI5 hired al Qaida sympathizers?

Taking workforce diversity to heart. BBC

A senior Tory MP has asked the home secretary whether al-Qaeda sympathisers were mistakenly recruited by MI5.

Patrick Mercer, chairman of the Home Affairs counter-terror sub-committee, said sources told him six had sought to infiltrate the security service.

Four were ejected at the initial vetting stage but two got "further down the system", he told the BBC.[...]

The MP believes the security services rushed to try and take on Muslim recruits after the 7/7 bombings on London's transport network in 2007.

He told the BBC: "The trouble is when you start recruiting in a hurry... your enemies will try to take advantage of any gaps that have been created."

The former intelligence officer said three separate sources had told him of the claims, which came as no surprise to him.

He said: "Any subversive organisation worth its salt is trying to do to our intelligence agencies what we are trying to do to them, I don't think we should be surprised.

British immigrants who jeer at British troops to be barred from getting citizenship

British Immigration Minister Phil Woolas has outlined a new plan that will reduce the number of British passports being issued to foreigners. Daily Mail

Iimmigrants who jeer at British troops in the street or 'show disregard for UK values' will be barred from gaining citizenship.

Migrants wanting a UK passport will also have to pass a history test for the first time - an idea ministers had previously spent four years resisting.

Immigration Minister Phil Woolas says that demonstrating against servicemen - as took place recently in disgraceful scenes in Luton - 'enrages' law abiding Britons, and should be a block on a foreigner obtaining citizenship.
They should deported back to their shit hole.
At present, migrants who work legally in Britain for an average of five years are automatically allowed to progress to citizenship, provided they pass a short test on Life in the UK, introduced in 2005.

The test does not include a single question on British history, as officials judged there was 'too much' and it would not be fair.

Under these rules, the number of British passports handed out to migrants is on-course to hit an all-time record of almost 220,000 this year.

Surprise, surprise! No guarantee taxes won't go up

After spending more than all previous Presidents combined this shouldn't be a surprise at all. But what gets me is that the Obama administration is linking economic recovery to the health care reform.

How does spending another trillion dollars on health care save the economy? Anyone care to enlighten me. Yahoo! News

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's treasury secretary said Sunday he cannot rule out higher taxes to help tame an exploding budget deficit, and his chief economic adviser would not dismiss raising them on middle-class Americans as part of a health care overhaul.[...]

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers both sidestepped questions on Obama's intentions about taxes. Geithner said the White House was not ready to rule out a tax hike to lower the federal deficit; Summers said Obama's proposed health care overhaul needs funding from somewhere.

"There is a lot that can happen over time," Summers said, adding that the administration believes "it is never a good idea to absolutely rule things out, no matter what."

During his presidential campaign, Obama repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime." But the simple reality remains that his ambitious overhaul of how Americans receive health care -- promised without increasing the federal deficit -- must be paid for.

"If we want an economy that's going to grow in the future, people have to understand we have to bring those deficits down. And it's going to be difficult, hard for us to do. And the path to that is through health care reform," Geithner said. "We're not at the point yet where we're going to make a judgment about what it's going to take."

British MPs: Global terrorism threat now emanating from Pakistan

I would have said that that global terrorism has it's in Pakistan. Most terror suspects arrested in Britain, Europe are either Pakistani or have traveled to Pakistan for terror training. Not to mention that al Qaida and the taliban both started in Pakistan. Taragana

LAHORE - British Members of Parliament in a report have claimed that the threat of al Qaeda and international terrorism can be more properly said to be emanating from Pakistan.

Professor Shaun Gregory, an expert on Pakistan at Bradford University, also told the committee that a direct attack on Pakistan’s nuclear weapons infrastructure by the Taliban could not be ruled out.

Swedish Somalis waging jihad in Somalia

It's well kown that at least 20 Somalis from Minneapolis have gone to Somalia to fight for al Shabaab but Somalis from other Western countries have gone to Somalia to fight with al Shabaab. Somalis from countries such as Canada, Britain, and Holland are fighting for al Shabaab.

Now it has been confirmed that Somalis from Sweden are also fighting for al Shabaab. Back in May, we posted that terrorists fighters from the US, Canada, Britain, Scandinavia, Pakistan are actively fighting for al Shabaab.

Recently Swedish police have confirmed that Somalis living in Sweden are traveling to Somalia to wage jihad with al Shabaab. At least one Somali from Sweden has been killed in the fighting. Counter Jihad: News for Infidels

A handful of Muslim Swedes have been killed in brutal fights. Young, Swedish-Somali men have been trained to fight and also participated in the bloody civil war in Somalia.

The Swedish security police, Sapo, told to Expressen newspaper that "a handful" Swedes have been killed in the war-torn country on Africa's east coast.[...]

Police spokesman, Patrik Peter, said that the man's sympathy with extremist Islam began while he still lived in Sweden.[...]

”It is a process that leads to ideological and religious activism. Muslim is convinced that it is acceptable to use violence to promote political messages," says Peter.

According to Peter the young man and the group he belonged to have been victims of the strong or charismatic people outside who have led them into extremism.
Most likely Xasaan Xuseen, the spiritual leader of al Shabaab, who has traveled to Sweden to collect money for al-Shabaab and recruit youth for the group's activities.
Malena Rembe, chief analyst at Sapo’s terror unit, told that Swedish Muslims have traveled to Somalia to participate in fighting or terrorism education.[...]

It’s well known in the Somali community that the group, which may have ties to terrorist network Al Qaida, has been recruiting youth in Sweden. Al Shabab has been especially active in the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby, where a large number of Sweden’s Somali population lives.

Kadafi Hussein, youth leader at a Rinkeby community center, told SR International that he saw four young men recruit Somalis in a public square. “They talked about jihad and what was happening in Somalia. That it was right to go there, and that they’d help you out with a plane ticket if you needed it.”

Iran Awaits Ayatollah's Nod to Build Atomic Bomb

Well do they or don't they , Iran is looking more like a North Korea with its Nuclear weapons ambition ! I would not want to take them lightly on this point but , they have talked so much crap in the past you just really don't know !

Fox News
Iran has perfected the technology to create and detonate a nuclear warhead and is merely awaiting the word from its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to produce its first bomb, Western intelligence sources have told The Times of London.

The sources said that Iran completed a research programme to create weaponised uranium in the summer of 2003 and that it could feasibly make a bomb within a year of an order from its Supreme Leader.

A U.S. National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.
They said that, should Ayatollah Khamenei approve the building of a nuclear device, it would take six months to enrich enough uranium and another six months to assemble the warhead. The Iranian Defence Ministry has been running a covert nuclear research department for years, employing hundreds of scientists, researchers and metallurgists in a multibillion-dollar programme to develop nuclear technology alongside the civilian nuclear program.

Pentagon eyes accelerated "bunker buster" bomb

Oh Man , 5,300 pounds of explosives ! Way awesome ! that would make a dent in the mountains of Afghanistan , or even Pakistan !

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon is seeking to speed deployment of an ultra-large "bunker-buster" bomb on the most advanced U.S. bomber as soon as July 2010, the Air Force said on Sunday, amid concerns over perceived nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran.

The non-nuclear, 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator, or MOP, which is still being tested, is designed to destroy deeply buried bunkers beyond the reach of existing bombs.

If Congress agrees to shift enough funds to the program, Northrop Grumman Corp's radar-evading B-2 bomber "would be capable of carrying the bomb by July 2010," said Andy Bourland, an Air Force spokesman.

"The Air Force and Department of Defense are looking at the possibility of accelerating the program," he said. "There have been discussions with the four congressional committees with oversight responsibilities. No final decision has been made."

The precision-guided weapon, built by Boeing Co, could become the biggest conventional bomb the United States has ever used.

Carrying more than 5,300 pounds of explosives. it would deliver more than 10 times the explosive power of its predecessor, the 2,000-pound BLU-109, according to the Pentagon's Defense Threat Reduction Agency, which has funded and managed the seed program.

Venezuela begins shutdown of 34 radio stations

What a great way to Democratize the Country ,take the radio stations away from the People ! You monkeys just sit down and relax , Hugo will take care of everything !

CARACAS, Aug 1 Reuters - More than a dozen of 34 radio stations ordered shut by the Venezuelan government went off the air on Saturday, part of President Hugo Chavez's drive to extend his socialist revolution to the media.

The association of radio broadcasters said 13 stations had stopped transmitting, following an announcement Friday night by government broadcasting watchdog Conatel that 34 radio outlets would be closed because they failed to comply with regulations.

Critics said the crackdown infringed on freedom of speech and that owners were not given the right to a proper defense.

"They're closing the space for dissidents in Venezuela," William Echeverria, head of the National Council of Journalists, told RCTV, a private cable TV station, which did not have its broadcasting license renewed in 2007.

Chavez defended the closures, calling them part of the government's effort to democratize the airwaves.

Student Ordered to Pay $675,000 for Illegal Downloads

At least Tenenbaum faired a little better than Jammie Thomas-Rasset who has to pay 1.92 million for her downloading habits !
Is it the actual downloading they get pissed about or the actual " Re-sharing " of the Files ?

Fox News
BOSTON — A federal jury on Friday ordered a Boston University graduate student who admitted illegally downloading and sharing music online to pay $675,000 to four record labels.

Joel Tenenbaum, of Providence, R.I., admitted in court that he downloaded and distributed 30 songs. The only issue for the jury to decide was how much in damages to award the record labels.

Under federal law, the recording companies were entitled to $750 to $30,000 per infringement. But the law allows as much as $150,000 per track if the jury finds the infringements were willful. The maximum jurors could have awarded in Tenenbaum's case was $4.5 million.

Jurors ordered Tenenbaum to pay $22,500 for each incident of copyright infringement, effectively finding that his actions were willful. The attorney for the 25-year-old student had asked the jury earlier Friday to "send a message" to the music industry by awarding only minimal damages.

Tenenbaum said he was thankful that the case wasn't in the millions and contrasted the significance of his fine with the maximum.

"That to me sends a message of 'We considered your side with some legitimacy,"' he said. "$4.5 million would have been, 'We don't buy it at all."'

He added he will file for bankruptcy if the verdict stands.
