Iran's police vow no tolerance towards protesters
"Police will act firmly to defend the society's security and those who break the law will be dealt with severely,"
Sounds like the Pro reform movement in Iran is being told to mind their P's and Q's for next Thursday !
If 8 Deaths was just a little pushing and shoving , How many will it be for "Dealt with severely ?
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian police will show no more tolerance toward anti-government protesters, the force's chief was quoted as saying on Saturday, in a warning to the opposition before possible new demonstrations next week.
Iran has been rocked by street unrest since its disputed presidential election last June. Internet messages have circulated about new protests on February 11, when Iran marks the 31st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution.
Supporters of the pro-reform opposition have used such official occasions to stage new rallies in recent months, despite many arrests in a continuing crackdown by authorities.
Opposition leaders Mirhossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi have called on supporters to attend next week's rally. An opposition website, Jaras, on Saturday said a youth group backing Mousavi also urged people to take part.
Government officials have rejected opposition charges that the June vote was rigged to secure the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They portrayed the election protests as a Western-backed bid to undermine the Islamic establishment.
"Now that the different dimensions of the sedition are clear, we won't show any more tolerance," police chief Esmail Ahmadi-Moghaddam said, the ILNA news agency reported.
"Police will act firmly to defend the society's security and those who break the law will be dealt with severely," he said.
He said hundreds of people were arrested in connection with protests that erupted on Ashura -- a ritual Shi'ite day of mourning that fell on December 27 -- with the help of tip-offs from the public after police published photographs of them. He said more such photographs of demonstrators would be issued soon.
Eight people were killed in clashes between security forces and opposition supporters on that day, in the most serious violence since the aftermath of the June 12 disputed election.
Moghaddam also reiterated a warning against the use of emails and phone text messages to spread the word of new protests, making clear police were monitoring such means of communication.
"The new technologies allow us to identify conspirators and those who are violating the law, without having to control all people individually," he said.

Accused Underwear Bomber’s American Teacher
“it is not my right to legislate or your right to legislate. No Supreme court, no system of government no democracy where they vote.
Can you believe it, a group of people coming together and voting and the majority vote will then be the law of the land?”
“Allah, is our judge, he knows what is best for us.”
And this guy is only coming under fire ?
Foxnews
An American born Islamic scholar who once gave religious instruction to the accused underwear bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalab, is coming under fire for videotaped remarks denouncing western courts and democracy despite his reputation as a moderate.
Following the arrest of Abdulmuttalab last December in Detroit, Yasir Qadhi expressed surprise at his former pupil’s alleged bomb plot. In an interview last December with CNN, Qadhi described Abdulmuttalab “as a quiet individual, tight lipped and shy.” The two met in 2008, during a 16 day religious seminar organized by the Al Maghrib Insititute, in Houston Texas. Qadhi said the event was a way to teach the “nuts and bolts” of Islam, adding “it’s ironic that he came to us.”
A video tape provided to FOX News by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, reveals what some experts consider Qadhi’s more radical agenda. In the undated recording made for the UK’s Islam Channel, Qadhi is speaking to a group of Muslim men. He is advising them to ignore western laws and democratic institutions in favor of Sharia or Islamic law.
He tells the group, “it is not my right to legislate or your right to legislate. No Supreme court, no system of government no democracy where they vote. Can you believe it, a group of people coming together and voting and the majority vote will then be the law of the land?” The other men on the panel listen intently as Qadhi concludes, “Allah, is our judge, he knows what is best for us.” Calls and an email to Qadhi were not returned.
Terrorism Expert Walid Phares, Author of The War of Ideas: Jihadism and Democracy warns that Qadhi’s remarks are consistent with Jihadist ideology. He said those who “hear this narrative; they are going to be convinced that their action against the United States government … is legitimate.”

Danish Forces Storm Somali Pirate Ship, Free 25 People On Board
Awesome , The Danish special forces KICK ASS !
Foxnews
NAIROBI, Kenya — Danish special forces stormed a ship captured by armed Somali pirates Friday and freed the 25 crew on board, marking the first time a warship has intervened during a hijacking, naval spokesmen said.
After the vessel Ariella sent out a distress signal early Friday, the Danish warship Absalon sent a helicopter to confirm the presence of pirates, and communicated with the crew to ensure they were in a safe location, said Cmdr. John Harbour, spokesman for the European Union Naval Force.
"Once NATO were absolutely sure that the crew onboard were safe and not going to be caught up in any cross fire, the decision was made to send in the specialist teams," said Lt. Col. Wolfgang Schmidt, a spokesman for NATO's Lisbon-based Joint Command.
Ten Danish special forces aboard the Absalon approached the Ariella in an inflatable dinghy, he said. The forces scaled the side of the ship and freed the 25 crew, who had locked themselves in a secure room, and continued to search the vessel for the pirates.
In the meantime, sailors from the nearby Russian Navy ship Neustrashimyy boarded and detained pirates aboard a second skiff, said Schmidt.
Harbour praised the NATO forces for their fast reaction and coordination with other forces in the area.

China hits out at US at 'Security Davos'
Give me a Break , China is now going to speak out against the U.S. for an arms deal with Taiwan , One of our Allies ?
Like China has never Had any arms deals with countries we have Questions about , How about all of the Arms going to IranSince the 80's ?
And what about that Hamas Deal ?
And then their is Darfur !
AFP
MUNICH, Germany — China's foreign minister used his maiden visit to a security conference in Europe Friday to issue a broadside against US arms sales to Taiwan and to resist US pressure to get tough on Iran.
The 6.4-billion-dollar deal unveiled last month to sell arms to Taiwan, which China views as part of its territory, is "obviously a violation of the code of conduct between nations," Yang Jiechi said.
"We approached the US side and made a representation very seriously, on many occasions, yet the US still went ahead with the sale."
"Of course the Chinese government and the people have to react. It is within its sovereign right to do what is necessary... I think the Chinese people and the government of every region should feel indignant about this thing."
The spat is one of several issues to have contributed to a worsening of relations in recent weeks, together with the upcoming White House visit by the Dalai Lama and cyber attacks on US firms such as Google.
Yang's comments came on the first day of the Munich Security Conference in Germany, a 46-year-old gathering dubbed the "Davos of security policy" after the World Economic Forum held last month at the Swiss ski resort.
The forum brings together some 300 top military, diplomatic and political figures, traditionally from members of the NATO military alliance but increasingly from further afield.

Mexico gangs cut into Super Bowl avocado bounty
Holy Guacamole !
What to do , no Guacamole dip for the Chips on Super Bowl Sunday.
Those Cartels sure are ruthless !
URUAPAN, Mexico (Reuters) - This sunkissed corner of western Mexico is the source of an annual bounty of guacamole dip for U.S. Super Bowl fans, but extortion and kidnapping by drug gangs has cast a grim shadow over its avocado farmers.
The drug lords of Michoacan state have branched out in recent years from trafficking narcotics to menacing the prosperous avocado barons whose produce will be gobbled up by millions of Americans during Sunday's football championship.
Michoacan's avocado farmers can easily earn more than $150,000 a year, a huge sum in Mexico.
All the large growers and packers around the city of Uruapan have been threatened, people in the industry say, as well-armed cartels search for new sources of revenue amid pressure from a government crackdown.
Locked in a ruthless war with rival smugglers and security forces, Mexico's drug gangs have slain some 18,000 people since late 2006. They are equally ruthless with business owners and farmers who are targeted for extortion money or ransom.
"In the last two or three years it has gotten worse," a leader of the local avocado industry said, asking not to have his name printed. "It's not something we like to talk about. It's just something we live with."
With demands for regular payments, the cartels suck cash out of an industry that has brought hundreds of millions of dollars to Michoacan over the last decade. Kidnap ransoms are often equivalent to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Many growers now stay clear of their prized land, managing their farms remotely, for fear of being approached or abducted. Some go to farms during the day with bodyguards but live with their families in towns a safe distance away.
"Many of them give money, others don't," one manager said, also declining to be quoted by name. "If you don't give it, well, you are putting yourself in danger."

Sigh...Dune movie back to square one
Peter Berg who was set to direct the movie has moved on to direct a movie adaptation of the board game battleship. A new director, Pierre Morel, will direct the new Dune movie but he will completely rewrite Berg's script. So we can expect a new Dune movie in...3 years!! ARGG!!!!!! SFF Media
"We're starting from scratch," said Morel. "Peter had an approach which was not mine at all, and we're starting over again. I don't think we're going to keep any elements of the Peter Berg script. It was good, actually. It was interesting. It was just not our vision. I can't tell you right now [who's writing it with me], it's going to be official next week. The deals are not done!"[...]Am I the only person who liked David Lynch's Dune? True it wasn't loyal to plot of the novel but I liked how he fused 18th century decor with future technology and gave us a glimpse into the character's thoughts. Plus when I read the novels I don't have Lynch's images in my mind.
"Dune is such a huge, huge project," he enthused. "It's big, it's challenging, it's long-term -- we're only starting. We have to rewrite the script; we have to develop a whole universe. It's going to be a long thing, so who knows. But I'm passionate about Dune so I'd love to do it next."[...]
Everybody now who reads Dune reads it with David Lynch's images in mind," he said. "So we have to get away from that. It's not a remake of David Lynch's movie. We're doing a re-reading, a brand new approach on the book, a very true approach to the book, the original material. So we will have to deal with trying to erase the image that David Lynch did so we can propose our image.".
Man I really hope they don't screw the movie up but I have a feeling they will.
NATO announces offensive plan to taliban
Ahead of operation Moshtarak or 'joint operation' in Dari (a real imaginary name), NATO forces will broadcast when and where the operation is to take place. A real smart idea, tell the enemy what your plans are. Real freaking smart. National Post
KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- What is being billed as a massive offensive in Helmand province by thousands of U.S. marines, the British army and Afghan forces, is being proceeded by an equally huge media blitz to explain to locals and the enemy where the operation is to take place and that it is imminent.[...]No sh*t, you tell the taliban when and where you want to attack and they'll leave. That's not an operational success, that's nothing. If you want to win this war you have to kill the taliban...not let them escape and fight another day.
Letting the Taliban know what is about to happen in their redoubt in the Helmand River Valley may seem like a counter-intuitive way to conduct combat operations, as operational security usually takes precedence over everything else in a war zone. But it is a counter-insurgency (COIN) strategy that was first used in Afghanistan by Canada early last year.
Brig.-Gen. Jon Vance, who commanded Canada's brigade here until three months ago, repeatedly went out of his way during his tour to tell any Afghan who would listen, where and approximately when his ground forces planned to launch offensives in Kandahar that were usually backed by attack helicopters and what soldiers call "fast air."
What happened when Vance and his successor, Brig.-Gen. Daniel Menard made such proclamations was that the Taliban fled. As almost no shots ended up being fired, there were no coalition, civilian or enemy casualties.
The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his. George S. Patton.

Head of British islamic channel arrested on suspicion of ties to terrorism
What is it with the muslims heading tv stations? First beheading and now terrorism charges. Times Online
The head of the Islam Channel, Britain’s most popular Muslim television station, has been arrested in South Africa and faces deportation to Tunisia over terrorism allegations.
The Times disclosed more than a year ago that Mohamed Ali Harrath, a Scotland Yard adviser against Islamic extremism, was wanted by Interpol because of his alleged activities in his homeland. His arrest on Sunday after a flight from London is being blamed by supporters on a security clampdown by the South African authorities in the run-up to this summer’s World Cup.[...]
Before fleeing his homeland, he co-founded the Tunisian Islamic Front, which Tunis accused of seeking to establish a Muslim state by armed revolutionary violence. Harrath insists that the organisation was a non-violent political party set up to oppose what he regarded as Tunisia’s one-party rule.
A reverse honor killing down under?
You usually hear of muslim women being killed by family members for converting from islam or for dating a non-muslim. But in this case the muslim woman allegedly killed her mother and attempted to murder her father after they disapproved with her relationship and decision to convert to Christianity.
Is this a case of a preemptive honor killing? Sydney Morning Herald
A man has told a court he had vowed to disown his daughter if she turned to Christianity in a dispute before she allegedly blindfolded her parents and fatally stabbed her mother.
Kaihana Tahseen Hussain, now 20, is on trial in the Supreme Court in Brisbane charged with her mother's murder.
Shaheda Hussain, 41, died after an attack at the family's rented unit in Southport on the evening of October 9, 2006.
Kaihana Hussain has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her mother and the attempted murder of her father.
It's previously been alleged she attacked her parents because they wouldn't let her move to Sydney to be with her boyfriend or allow her to convert from Islam to Christianity.

An imam, convicted of murder, caught smuggling box cutters to prison inmates
An imam was busted trying to smuggle box cutters and a pair of scissors to inmates into a lower Manhattan jail.
The imam, Zulqarnain Abdu-Shahid previously known as Paul Watts, served 14 years in prison for murder. He converted to islam while serving time and chose his name Zulqarnain Abdu-Shahid. Shahid in Arabic means martyr.
How many red flags did the authorities miss on this occasion? Who would have guessed that a convicted murderer who converted to islam in prison and chose the name Abu Shahid might be a security liability??? NY Post
A city Department of Correction Muslim chaplain who served 14 years in prison for murder and robbery was arrested today for carrying three utility blades and a pair of scissors into a lower Manhattan jail, authorities said.
The dangerous items were found after an X-ray machine alerted correction officers to the presence of metal in the bag, the DOI said.[...]
Authorities did not say why Abdu-Shahid was visiting the jail, commonly known as the Tombs, or why he was carrying the scissors and the rectangular blades, which were 1-and-1/2 inches long by three-quarters of an inch wide.
Abdu-Shahid, 58, was arrested at the scene and charged with four counts of first-degree promoting prison contraband — a felony carrying a maximum 7-year prison term — and four counts of the same charge in the second degree, a misdemeanor.

Obama Tells Dems: Turn off CNN, Turn off Fox
Obama makes a bit of a point here ,
"Just turn off the TV -- MSNBC, blogs -- and just go talk to folks out there, instead of being in this echo chamber where the topic is constantly politics.
Yes , all politicians should get out amongst the people , That is where they are going to hear what is really going on in the Country (Providing they talk to the real people )
But it is funny how on one hand he says to turn off CNN , FOX and MSNBC and to also not read Blogs !
And on the other hand he tells them what news to listen to ,( Liberal Friendly , And Not listed )
It just goes to show how the Dumocrats , really don't want to hear what the reality of how things really are , and that they look at the U.S. as something they believe they are the Owners of !
Foxnews
At today's question and answer session between President Obama and his former Democratic colleagues in the Senate, members got a bit of unexpected TV-viewing advice from the Commander in Chief: stop watching politics on TV.
Perhaps he’d prefer they tune into WhiteHouse.gov?
The president’s advice came in answer to a question from Sen. Mike Bennet, D-CO, who is facing a difficult re-election fight back home and wanted to know what Democrats and Republicans can do "to fix this institution so that our democracy can actually withstand the test that we're facing right now."
"You know what I think would actually make a difference, Michael? I think if everybody here -- excuse all the members of the press who are here -- if everybody here turned off your CNN, your Fox, your blogs," Obama said, before being interrupted by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-CA, who piped up, "And MSNBC!"
Obama, appropriately reminded of the network with shows more friendly to liberals, continued, "Just turn off the TV -- MSNBC, blogs -- and just go talk to folks out there, instead of being in this echo chamber where the topic is constantly politics. ... It is much more difficult to get a conversation focused on how are we going to help people than a conversation about how is this going to help or hurt somebody politically."
Anger over US 'Lady Qaeda' verdict
"this verdict will only confirm what many already believe, that it is impossible for Muslim terrorism suspects to receive a fair trial in the US."
You had to figure that this was coming .
yes of course she is innocent she is a Muslim , she was arrested in Afghanistan with some type of Chemicals and maps and drawings of U.S. landmarks , including the Statue of Liberty .
While under arrest she muscled a rifle away from a U.S. serviceman and started shooting !
She is lucky she was just not shot dead on the spot , But innocent she is not !
Al Jazeera
Relatives of a US-educated Pakistani scientist branded "Lady Qaeda" by some in the US press and found guilty of trying to kill American servicemen in Afghanistan, have condemned the verdict.
The judgement, reached by a court in New York, also fuelled growing anger in Pakistan on Thursday where many believe that Affia Siddiqui, who disappeared for five years before her arrest in Afghanistan, was innocent.
Fauzia Siddiqui, her sister, said the verdict had "rejuvenated" the family.
"And we're proud to be related to her," she said, speaking from the Pakistani city of Karachi.
"America's justice system, the establishment, the war on terror, the fraud of the war on terror, all of those things have shown their own ugly faces."
The AFP news agency quoted Ismat Siddiqui, Afia's mother, who lives in Karachi, as saying the family had been braced for the verdict but would continue to work for her release.
"I did not expect anything better from an American court. We were ready for the shock and will continue our struggle to get her released," she was quoted as saying.

Pakistani Scientist Convicted of Trying to Kill Americans
Excellent !
Even though she was not brought up on Terrorism charges , she is a Terrorist .
So I would hope they give The POS a Life sentence !
Foxnews
NEW YORK — A U.S.-trained Pakistani scientist was convicted Wednesday of charges that she tried to kill Americans while detained in Afghanistan in 2008, shouting with a raised arm as jurors left the courtroom: "This is a verdict coming from Israel, not America."
A jury deliberated three days in federal court in Manhattan before finding Aafia Siddiqui guilty in the third week of her attempted murder trial, which she often interrupted with rambling courtroom outbursts.
After declaring the verdict came from Israel, she turned toward spectators in the packed courtroom and said: "Your anger should be directed where it belongs. I can testify to this and I have proof."
Siddiqui, 37, was convicted of two counts of attempted murder, though the crime was not found by the jury to be premeditated. She was also convicted of armed assault, using and carrying a firearm, and assault of U.S. officers and employees.
Before her arrest, U.S. authorities had called Siddiqui an Al Qaeda sympathizer. She was never charged with terrorism, but prosecutors called her a grave threat who was carrying bomb-making instructions and a list of New York City landmarks including the Statue of Liberty when she was captured.

Intel Chief: U.S. at Risk of Crippling Cyber Attack
He said one critical "factor" is that more and more foreign companies are supplying software and hardware for government and private sector networks.
"This increases the potential for subversion of the information in ... those systems," Blair said.
Like Maybe China ?
Just three words " Deaf , Dumb ,Blind " !
Foxnews
The United States is at risk of a crippling cyber attack that could "wreak havoc" on the country because the "technological balance" makes it much easier to launch a cyber strike than defend against it, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair said Tuesday.
Blair, speaking to the House Intelligence Committee, said U.S. tools are not yet up to the task to fully protect against such an attack.
"What we don't quite understand as seriously as we should is the extent of malicious cyberactivity that grows, that is growing now at unprecedented rates, extraordinary sophistication," Blair said. "And the dynamic of cyberspace, when you look at the technological balance, right now it favors those who want to use the Internet for malicious purposes over those who want to use it for legal and lawful purposes."
Blair said the United States must "deal with that reality," and warned of the catastrophic consequences of a major attack.
"Attacks against networks that control the critical infrastructure in this country ... could wreak havoc," Blair said. "Cyber defenders right now, it's simply the facts of the matter, have to spend more and work harder than the attackers do, and our efforts frankly are not strong enough to recognize, deal with that reality."
He said one critical "factor" is that more and more foreign companies are supplying software and hardware for government and private sector networks.
"This increases the potential for subversion of the information in ... those systems," Blair said.
Blair also told Congress Tuesday that the Internet is providing the fuel for the growing problem of "homegrown radicalization."
"That ... has been one of the most dangerous uses of the Internet," Blair said, explaining that foreign groups are using the Internet to organize attacks, give instructions and arrange financing.

Intelligence Officials Warn Attempted Al Qaeda Attack Months Away
And I'm Sure "Profiling" is still out of the Question .
Foxnews
WASHINGTON -- Al Qaeda can be expected to attempt an attack on the United States in the next three to six months, senior U.S. intelligence officials told Congress Tuesday.
The terrorist organization is deploying operatives to the United States to carry out new attacks from inside the country, including "clean" recruits with a negligible trail of terrorist contacts, CIA Director Leon Panetta said. Al Qaeda is also inspiring homegrown extremists to trigger violence on their own, Panetta added.
The annual assessment of the nation's terror threats provided no startling new terror trends, but amplified growing concerns since the Christmas Day airline attack in Detroit that militants are growing harder to detect and moving more quickly in their plots.
"The biggest threat is not so much that we face an attack like 9/11. It is that Al Qaeda is adapting its methods in ways that oftentimes make it difficult to detect," Panetta told the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Al Qaeda is increasingly relying on new recruits with minimal training and simple devices to carry out attacks, the CIA chief said as part of the annual assessment of national threats provided to Congress by the top five U.S. intelligence officials.
Panetta also warned of the danger of extremists acting alone: "It's the lone-wolf strategy that I think we have to pay attention to as the main threat to this country," he said.

Iran Says It Sent Animals Into Space
What , No Monkeys ?
The New York Times
PARIS — In what seemed designed as a display of advancing missile technology, Iran said on Wednesday that it had test-fired a rocket into space carrying living organisms — a rat, two turtles and worms, according to the official Press TV broadcaster.
The launch of what was described as a Kavoshgar-3 missile, capable of carrying satellites, came at a juncture of other events showing the Tehran regime facing a series of challenges.
Iran is preparing to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution in 1979; it is locked in dispute with the United States and other powers over its nuclear program; and its leaders are facing the worst political crisis since the revolution following last June’s flawed presidential elections...
Press TV said Wednesday that the Kavoshgar, or Explorer, missile was the third of its type to be launched space since February 2008, and was carrying an experimental capsule to transfer telemetric data, live pictures and other information to Earth. A second Kavoshgar was launched in November 2008, Press TV said. The model launched on Wednesday was described as an updated version of the earlier rockets.
The Iranian Aerospace Organization said: “Live video transmission and the mini-environmental lab will enable further studies on the biological capsule — carrying a rat, two turtles and worms — as it leaves Earth’s atmosphere and enters space,” Press TV said.
North Koreans starving after currency move
The currency revaluation was aimed at wiping out the cash holdings of a burgeoning merchant class, who risked exposure for illegal activities outside the centrally planned economy if they exchanged their old cash or deposited their wealth in banks.
Ahhh Communism !
This is what it ultimately leads to .
So we should expect a Missile launch and or Nuclear test any day now !
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Koreans are starving to death and unrest is growing due to a currency revaluation last year that crippled markets and led to the sacking of a senior cadre, reports said on Wednesday.
The news comes as the destitute North is under growing pressure to end its boycott of international nuclear disarmament talks, where it can win aid for reducing the security threat it poses in economically vital North Asia.
Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Kurt Campbell said after meeting officials in Seoul that North Korea must return to the six-country talks and live up to pledges it made to take apart its nuclear weapons programme.
"Sanctions will not come off before that," he told reporters.
North Korea last year announced a revaluation of its currency where old notes of its won currency would be changed for new ones at a rate of 100 to one.
The move was a further blow to the North's wobbly economy, already hit by U.N. sanctions imposed after its nuclear test last year to halt its lucrative arms sales.
North Korean Workers' Party finance director Pak Nam-gi, who led the currency revaluation aimed at breaking up markets in the socialist state, has been removed from his post, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper said quoting diplomatic sources in Beijing.
"Markets have come to a grinding halt following the currency revaluation and prices have soared," the source said.
After the currency moves, fewer goods were available for an already impoverished public and prices rose sharply.

Imam's autopsy report stuns widow
Very Nice , Now Democratic Representative John Conyers , is on the side of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah(Long dead now , from 20 or so FBI Bullets !)
If He wasn't , then He would not have been interviewed Standing with the Fruity dead Imams Wife !
Never pull a Gun And shoot at or near an Officer Of any kind , Unless you would like to DIE
Freep.com
The widow of a Detroit imam shot to death by FBI agents said today that she was appalled to learn her husband died from 21 gunshot wounds.
“It’s really hard and it’s really painful for me,” Amina Abdullah, 36, said of the autopsy report detailing the death of Luqman Ameen Abdullah. “I was shocked. I was almost going to faint. I couldn’t eat, and I couldn’t sleep.”
Amina Abdullah was married 10 years to the imam, said her attorney Nabih Ayad. Ayad also said the government is trying to deport her to Tanzania.
“She’s concerned about going back home,” Ayad said.
Amina Abdullah appeared at a news conference this morning in Detroit with U.S. Rep John Conyers, who is calling for an independent investigation into the imam’s Oct. 28 death in a Dearborn warehouse.
Ayad told reporters he would also like a second autopsy done because he is concerned about reports of lacerations to Abdullah’s hands and wonders if an FBI dog bit him before he fired back.
The autopsy report was completed in November, but it was not released until Monday at the request of the Dearborn Police Department, which is investigating the incident.
Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said he filed a Freedom of Information Act request to learn whether there is any FBI video of the incident. Walid said he has a hunch that video exists since agents hand controlled the warehouse as part of its undercover investigation.
Conyers said he asked Attorney General Eric Holder to have the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division look into the Oct. 28 incident.
“All we want is simple fairness,” Conyers said, adding that he is concerned that the autopsy report took so long to be released. “On the surface, someone being shot 21 times raises quite a few questions in the criminal justice system. It also may involve the hate crimes law.”
Hate Crimes ? What a joke !

According to the autopsy report, when an investigator from the Medical Examiner's Office arrived at the scene of the shooting on Oct. 28, the body of Abdullah, 53, was found on the floor of a semi-trailer full of flat-screen TVs with his wrists handcuffed behind his back.
The FBI told the investigator that when "officers arrived, officers asked to see his hands, and they informed him that if he didn't comply, they were going to send a dog in." Agents said they opened fire after Abdullah shot the dog.
Andrew Arena, special agent in charge of the Detroit FBI office, has said agents acted appropriately in the two-year investigation of Abdullah and during the raid. Agents sought to arrest the cleric and 10 other people on suspicion of dealing in stolen goods.
U.S. Drones Kill at Least 10 With Missiles in Northwest Pakistan
The Largest Barrage of missiles ever fired in a drone Attack , 16 to 18 .
Let's hope that with that many Hellfire missiles being fired that some body in the top levels of either Al qaida or the Taliban , are taking a long Dirt Nap !
The Wall Street Journal
A barrage of missiles from U.S. drone aircraft ripped into an area of northwest Pakistan where the Taliban and al Qaeda dominate, killing at least 10 people hours after the Pakistani Taliban again denied rumors of its leader's demise.
The sheer number of missiles fired in Tuesday's strike—a Pakistani intelligence official and witnesses estimated 16 to 18 were launched—appeared to be the most employed in a single attack since the U.S. first began using drone aircraft to target militants in Pakistan six years ago.
The attack was the latest salvo in what has become a torrent of U.S. missile strikes in and around the North Waziristan tribal area of Pakistan in the weeks since an al Qaeda double agent killed seven agents and contractors of the Central Intelligence Agency in a suicide bombing at a U.S. base in a neighboring region of Afghanistan.
U.S. and Pakistani officials say they believe the Dec. 30 suicide attack was plotted from North Waziristan, a hub for the Afghan Taliban and its Pakistani offshoot. Al Qaeda is also active in the region, these officials say. The Afghan-Pakistan border is porous, and militants often move freely between the countries.
Tuesday's attack targeted a number of compounds and bunkers used by Taliban fighters in a North Waziristan village near the Afghan border. Two people who live in the village said vehicles were also destroyed, although they differed on whether the cars belonged to the militants or area residents.
The Pakistani intelligence official said at least 10 people died; the residents put the death toll as high as 20 and said the missile strike had set fires that were still smoldering in the village.

Suicide bomber kills 41 Shi'ite pilgrims in Iraq
What are you supposed to do with a country full of People that just want to kill everyone ?
I thought a Pilgrimage was supposed to be a religious Experience , Not an occasion to blow the hell out of your neighbors .
Islam , WTF ?
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A suicide bomber blew herself up on Monday among Shi'ite pilgrims on the outskirts of Iraq's capital, killing at least 41 people in the latest attack in a violent run-up to next month's election.
Iraq is trying to leave behind years of warfare set off by the 2003 U.S. invasion as it moves to cement security gains made in the last two years, prepare for a U.S. withdrawal and revamp an oil sector that gives Iraq nearly all of its revenues.
But Shi'ite gatherings remain a frequent target for Sunni Islamists such as al Qaeda, seeking to reignite the sectarian slaughter that peaked in 2006-07, while recent months have also seen major coordinated assaults by suicide bombers on Baghdad.
An interior ministry source and a police official said 41 people had been killed and 106 wounded in Monday's attack in a tent where pilgrims on an arduous religious trek are provided with food and drink.
"People were serving food to the pilgrims. A woman wrapped in an explosives belt went inside the tent and killed and wounded (many people) and children," said pilgrim Sahib, who was near the tent.
The office of Baghdad security spokesman Major General Qassim al-Moussawi said that the bombing occurred in a crowd and that 19 people were killed, with 80 wounded.
Several hours later a roadside bomb in southern Baghdad wounded 12 pilgrims, an interior ministry source said.
The attacks took place as the nation gears up for a March election when Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is expected to run on improved security and on oil deals that may vault Iraq into the world's top three crude exporters, from 11th currently.
Thousands of Shi'ites have flooded the streets for the start of a long walk to the southern city of Kerbala, 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Baghdad, for the religious rite of Arbain.

Ahmadinejad threatens 'harsh blow' to global leaders on Feb 11th
Iranian press TV quoted Iranian president Ahmadinejad as saying that the Mullahcracy will deal a harsh blow to 'global arrogance' on Feb 11th (the anniversary of the islamic revolution in Iran).
Maybe that's why President Obama ordered beefed up missile defense in the Middle East and the gulf this past week.

The group said in a statement that the "jihad of Horn of Africa must be combined with the international jihad led by the al-Qaeda network".[...]
Despite repeated accusations by the US that al-Shabab is linked to al-Qaeda, the group denied the connection in a recent interview with the BBC.
The BBC Somali service's Mohamed Mohamed says it is the first time the group has officially confirmed its fight is linked to al-Qaeda.

MOSCOW – A stealth jet fighter intended to match the latest U.S. design made its maiden flight in Russia on Friday, an important step in the country's efforts to modernize its aging Soviet-era arsenals.
The Sukhoi T-50 prototype took to the skies for a 45-minute flight from an airfield at the company's production plant in the Far Eastern city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur on Friday, Sukhoi spokesman Alexei Paveshchenko told The Associated Press.
Russian officials have spent two decades trying to build the so-called fifth-generation fighter and hope the T-50 can challenge the U.S. F-22 Raptor, which first flew in 1997. The Russian project has been veiled in secrecy and no pictures of it had been released before the maiden flight.

UN climate boss has chauffer drive him 1 mile to office
Even the the head of the UN's IPCC doesn't believe in the propaganda of man made climate change.
Hypocrite -->
Daily Mail
On Friday, for the one-mile journey from home to his Delhi office, Dr Pachauri could have walked, or cycled, or used the eco-friendly electric car provided for him, known in the UK as G-Wiz.
But instead, he had his personal chauffeur collect him from his £4.5million home – in a 1.8-litre Toyota Corolla.
Hours later, the chauffeur picked up Dr Pachauri from the office of the environmental charity where he is director-general – The Energy and Resources Institute – blatantly ignoring the institute’s own literature, which gives visitors tips on how to reduce pollution by using buses.
Dr Pachauri – who as IPCC chairman once told people to eat less meat to cut greenhouse gas emissions – was driven to an upmarket restaurant popular with expatriates and well-off tourists just half a mile from his luxurious family home.
As he waited outside the institute office for Dr Pachauri, the chauffeur said: ‘Dr Pachauri does use the electric car sometimes but most of the time he uses the Toyota.’

Nobel peace winner, Obama, to spend more on nukes
Wait a minute...I thought President Obama promised to get rid of nukes.
President Obama is planning to increase spending on America's nuclear weapons stockpile just days after pledging to try to rid the world of them.
In his budget to be announced on Monday, Mr Obama has allocated £4.3billion to maintain the U.S. arsenal - £370million more than George Bush spent on nuclear weapons in his final year.

Spanish imam arrested over harassing woman without veil
A Spanish imam has been charged with harassing a muslim woman who refused to wear the islamic veil.
Just another imam who didn't get the memo that veils are optional under islam. Telegraph
An imam in north-eastern Spain has been charged with threatening a woman who refused to wear an Islamic headscarf or abide by certain Islamic customs, prosecutors said on Thursday.
The prosecutors are seeking a five-year jail sentence for Mohammed Benbrahim, a Moroccan, on charges of slander, coercion and menacing behaviour against fellow Moroccan Muslim Fatima Ghailan. The two live in Cunit, a town in Catalonia, a region with a sizable Muslim population.
The court filed similar charges against the president of the Islamic Association in Cunit and lesser ones against Mr Benbrahim's wife and his daughter.
In a statement to the court in the nearby town of Vendrells, Mrs Ghailan, 31, said Benbrahim had harassed her and campaigned to have her removed from her job in the town hall's cultural department purely because she had a job, dressed in a Western style, drove a car and associated with non-Muslims.

A protest is planned for this morning outside the Dearborn Police Department during a news conference to release the autopsy report of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, the Muslim leader who died in a shootout with FBI agents.
"We want to let people know we won't tolerate this type of vicious assault on citizens," Ron Scott, with the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality, said Sunday. "An assault on Muslims is an assault on everyone."
Scott's coalition is holding the rally along with the Michigan Emergency Coalition against War and Injustice, a Detroit-based group.
The FBI has said that Abdullah was an Islamic extremist who was dealing in stolen goods. Federal officials said that Abdullah opened fire during an Oct. 28 raid in a Dearborn warehouse by FBI agents seeking to arrest him and 10 others on suspicion of buying and selling stolen items provided by an undercover informant.
Andrew Arena, special agent in charge of the Detroit FBI office, said last week that although the case ended tragically, his agents acted appropriately in the two-year investigation of Abdullah and during the raids.
The FBI has portrayed Abdullah as a Sunni Islamic extremist who spoke against law enforcement and followed Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, the Muslim leader formerly known as H. Rap Brown, in prison for killing a police officer.
The rally is set for about 10:15 a.m. across the street from the Police Department, 16099 Michigan Ave.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - Pakistani forces backed by helicopter gunships have killed 15 Taliban in clashes that erupted after militants attacked a military post and convoy in the northwest of the country, an official said on Monday.

The latest fighting broke out on Sunday afternoon in the militant stronghold of Wara Mamoon and lasted until midnight, local government official Bajaur Abdul Malik told Reuters.
"The Taliban first attacked our checkpoint and convoy and then we responded with ground and air attacks," he said.
Malik said 15 militants and one soldier were killed and 10 militants were wounded.
