Dirk Frans, denied they were missionaries.
"That is a lie. That is not true at all. IAM is a Christian organisation, we have always been that," he told the BBC.
Aren't Missionaries Christians also ?
The Issue I have is why if you are helping out people in Need , why is it Important to let it be Known you are a Christian ?
Your traveling around Afghanistan , which is basically controlled by the Taliban , The most religiously intolerant group of nitwits in the World , why would you even go there ? and carry Bibles with you In the First place !
These people did not deserve to Die , it is Obvious from the Taliban's past abuses that they do not tolerate Christians , and to tempt fate Knowing what they do is a little Disturbing !
Faith does not protect you from the Evil's of Man !
BBC
Eight foreigners and two Afghans have been found shot dead next to abandoned vehicles in the north-eastern Afghan province of Badakhshan, officials say.
The foreigners are believed to be six Americans, one Briton and a German, who worked for an international charity providing eye care and medical help.
The vehicles were found a day after contact was lost with the group.
Local police said robbery might have been the motive. However, the Taliban have said they were behind the attack.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, said bibles translated into Dari had been found.
"Yesterday at around 0800 (0330 GMT), one of our patrols confronted a group of foreigners. They were Christian missionaries and we killed them all," he told the
He later told the Associated Press they were "spying for the Americans".

Fight between rival gangs at Mexican border prison leaves at least 14 inmates dead
Just like when the Taliban or Al Qaida are killed , this should also be a Celebration of sorts , They are just killing themselves off When they Fight each other in Prison !
Foxnews
MEXICO CITY (AP) — Rival gangs clashed Friday, killing 14 inmates at a prison in the Mexican border city of Matamoros, across from Brownsville, Texas.
The prisoners died of knife wounds and beatings in the fight early Friday, said Jose Soberon, public safety secretary of the Gulf coast state of Tamaulipas.
Soberon told Milenio Television that the inmates involved in the deadly clash were serving sentences for organized crime, drug trafficking and weapons possession.
Soberon did not say what gangs were involved in the confrontation, but Tamaulipas has been wracked by bloody turf battles between the Zetas drug gang and their former allies, the Gulf drug cartel.

Chinese 'Carrier-Killer' Missile Could Reshape Sea Combat
raising the stakes a Little , China announces it's developing an Aircraft Carrier Buster !
Good luck with that fricken Commie Nitwits , We have the capability to Roast you Piss Ants before you even Know what is going on !
P.S.
Fox News Special Report , Just announced that the Aircraft Carrier George Washington , Is headed back to South Korea for some more War Games !
Foxnews
China is developing an unprecedented new missile that is designed to be launched from land with enough accuracy to penetrate the defenses of even the most advanced moving aircraft carrier from a distance of more than 900 miles, sources say.
Initial reports on the new missile suggest it could reshape conflicts at sea, but U.S. weapons experts told FoxNews.com that it's no game-changer, nor a revolutionary threat to America's aircraft carriers -- which are the center of U.S. Pacific defense strategy.
"Some have called it a game-changer. I would dispute that claim," said Toshi Yoshihara, an associate professor at the U.S. Naval War College.
When complete, the Dong Feng 21D -- a version of which was displayed last year in a Chinese military parade -- would give China the ability to reach and hit U.S. aircraft carriers well before the U.S. can get close enough to the mainland to hit back.

Yeah I would say that Al Qaida is our enemy , and they remain as the Top threat to the U.S. .
BBC
Al-Qaeda's leadership in Pakistan and its affiliates in Africa remain the biggest threats to US and its interests abroad, a US government report says.
The annual terrorism report states that al-Qaeda encountered setbacks in 2009 but has proved to be "resilient and adaptable".
Iran was said to be the most active "state sponsor" of terrorism, as with previous years.
But attacks globally fell to the lowest level in five years, it said.
The report identified Pakistan and Yemen as of particular risk and said al-Qaeda had been able to create proxy groups, and managed to recruit citizens in the US and Europe, for attacks across the world.
Al-Qaeda "has proven to be an adaptable and resilient terrorist group whose desire to attack the United States and U.S. interests abroad remains strong," it said.

Indictments Widen Sweep of US-Somali Terror Case
Great , instead of these Rejects making it to Somalia where they can be killed much easier , they now will have a cushy time of it sitting in prison .
What a waste of Taxpayers Money !
NPR
The FBI has arrested or indicted more than a dozen Somali-Americans in two cities as part of a sweeping investigation in the recruitment of young men for a terrorist group in Somalia, sources familiar with the investigation told NPR. The people arrested are thought to have recruited and raised money for a Somali militia called al-Shabab.
The arrests are just the latest turn in a long-running investigation into the disappearance of young men from a number of U.S. cities. NPR first reported on the case two years ago, after more than two dozen young Somalis from the Minneapolis area had been recruited and sent to Somalia by the group. Some of the young men who traveled to Somalia have since returned to the U.S. At least six of the Minneapolis Somalis who joined al-Shabab are thought to have been killed in the fighting there.
An indictment against Omar Hammami, a young man from Alabama who joined al-Shabab several years ago and starred in a recruitment video, will be unsealed Thursday, the source familiar with the investigation said. The Justice Department has scheduled a news conference at noon EDT.
The FBI has been tracking people they suspected might be recruiting for or financing the operation for months. Fourteen people already have been either arrested or indicted in the case. Thursday's announcement is expected to double that number and show that al-Shabab has managed to draw young men from a number of U.S. cities, including San Diego and Columbus, Ohio.

Mexico drug cartels use gory videos to spread fear
And let us not forget , the Cartels have studied Al Qaida videos on youtube !
They have modeled themselves after AQ and other terrorist organizations .
(Reuters) - Powerful drug cartels are increasingly using gruesome videos of executions and interrogations to intimidate their rivals, police and an already terrified public in Mexico's vicious drug war.
The drug gangs, battling for control of lucrative smuggling routes into the United States, have long attached handwritten notes to victims they dump in public as a way to scare rival gangs and pesky state officials.
But they are now airing more and more of their dirty work and threats on blogs or Web sites like YouTube, and bullying Mexican media into putting their gory tapes on television for wider play.
The aggressive media strategy raises new questions about whether President Felipe Calderon's war on drugs is making any headway in weakening the gangs and in reining in a drug trade worth up to $40 billion a year in Mexico alone.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad survives 'assassination attempt'
What ? Somebody in Iran does not like their fearless leader ! What a shocker.
Telegraph UK
Al Arabiya television said an attacker threw a bomb at Mr Ahmadinejad's convoy before being detained.
A home-made bomb exploded near the convoy, a source from the president's office told Reuters, but Mr Ahmadinejad, who was travelling from an airport in the western city of Hamadan to give a speech in a sports arena, was unharmed.
One person had been arrested, the Iranian source said.
The website khabaronline.ir reported that the president's car was about 100 yards away from the site of the blast.
The website said it had no information about whether other people were injured.
"The explosion caused a lot of smoke," it said.
However, an official from Mr Ahmadinejad's media office told AFP that the president's motorcade had not been attacked by a grenade. The explosion was from a firecracker, he said.

Pakistan violence: Sparked by Karachi's 300th assassination this year
300 Political Assassinations?
WTF?
the CSM
The death of Raza Haider, a member of parliament and senior leader of the secular Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party, is the latest and most high-profile in a series of political assassinations that have deepened ethnic tensions in Pakistan’s financial capital. Over 300 people have been assassinated for ethnic or political reasons in Karachi this year. But now, the government claims that militant groups are behind Haider's assassination.
That may be the case, but Pakistani society is seeing a growing degree of both religious and ethnic polarization. There have been attacks by militants on Sufi shrines in other parts of the country. And while retaliation has been limited so far, there were signs of further trouble in the overnight rioting. The MQM represents Karachi's majority Urdu-speaking population and are rivals for political leadership and land ownership with minority Pashtuns who have migrated from northwestern Pakistan seeking employment.

World 'losing against Taliban,' Pakistan's president says
"Above all, this is because we lost the battle of hearts and minds,"
Hearts and Minds?
sounds like a load of B.S. , we are fighting the Taliban NOT the hearts and minds of them or the people of Afghanistan .
Afghanistan will undoubtedly turn out just like Iraq , as soon as we leave the Sheeple will fall prey to the Taliban Again !
All we can do is Kill as many of the Taliban as we can !
Paris, France (CNN) -- The international community is "losing the war against the Taliban," Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said Tuesday.
"Above all, this is because we lost the battle of hearts and minds," Zardari told the French newspaper Le Monde on a visit to Paris.
"The success of the insurgents is to learn how to wait. They have time on their side. It's our whole approach which is wrong," the paper quoted him as saying. "The people do not associate the intervention of the coalition with a brighter future."

Iraqis fear renewed violence as U.S. disengages
"The U.S. withdrawal from Iraq will pave the way for the violence and sectarian fighting to return.
On one hand they want us to leave , on the other hand they are scared to see us go !
And the way the Iraqi's are so un-willing to wipe their own ass's when it comes to taking control of their own Country , the Violence and Sectarian Fighting will indeed return .
(Reuters) - President Barack Obama says Washington will fulfill its pledge to halt combat operations in Iraq by the end of this month, but many Iraqis fear that U.S. disengagement could portend surge in violence.
Violence has plunged since the peak of the conflict in 2006-07, but bombings and other attacks occur still daily and Iraqi officials say the civilian death toll rose last month.
Squabbling politicians have been unable to agree on a coalition government since an inconclusive March 7 parliamentary election, raising tensions and opening the way for insurgents.
"The U.S. withdrawal will pave the way for the militias and armed groups to work freely, and they will activate their operations again," said Samer Ahmed, 32, a Baghdad laborer whose brother was killed by militants at the height of Iraq's sectarian warfare in 2007.
"I believe Iraq's security situation will deteriorate severely. A civil war is coming to devour everything in Iraq."
then I would say it is time for the Iraqi's to pull their collective heads out of the sand , and fight for their country .
If they can't do this then they don't deserve what they have !
Taliban urge fighters to avoid killing civilians in new code of conduct to win hearts, minds
Has the Taliban changed their ways ?
Or are they just implementing some sensitivity training ?
What a crock !
Foxnews
SPIN BOLDAK, Afghanistan (AP) — An updated Taliban code of conduct urges fighters to avoid killing civilians and forbids them from seizing weapons and money, a directive aimed at winning hearts and minds of Afghans also being courted by international forces.
But the document declares that people working for international forces or the Afghan government are "supporters of the infidels" and can be killed. Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar took a similar hard line in orders to insurgents that NATO forces said they intercepted in early June.
Mullah Omar urged fighters to kill anyone working with international forces or the Afghan government, including women, according to NATO.

KABUL, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan National Army (ANA) and NATO forces eliminated 30 Taliban militants in Afghanistan's eastern Nuristan province on Monday, a press release issued by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
"Afghan National Army soldiers with support from their coalition force partners, executed ground attacks on the towns of Bachancha and Badmuk Monday, clearing them of Taliban fighters and disrupting insurgent operations throughout the region," the press release added.
It said that initial reports indicates more than 30 insurgents were killed with two ANA soldiers killed in action.
It said that the attacks were part of ongoing security operations that began July 25 with the Afghan army commandos air assault on the village of Barg-e-Matal district.
"Afghan Natioanl Security Forces operations continue to deal a devastating blow to enemy forces who seek safe haven in Nuristan," said U.S. Army Col. Andrew Poppas, Task Force Bastogne commander in the press release.
"Their devotion to the safety and security of the Afghan people ensures the enemy has no place to hide," he said.
Taliban militants overran the Barg-e-Matal on July 25 and burned down over 150 houses and all government buildings including health clinic and schools. But the militants controlled the district only for 24 hours.

U.N. panel finishes Taliban/al Qaeda blacklist review
Real nice Eh ?
Too bad they did not consider the fact that they were Taliban and Al Qaida .
It seems that there was some requests from Hamid Karzai , some Taliban Buddies he wanted to help out !
If Hamid Karzai has requests , who else has had some requests ?
(Reuters) - A Security Council committee has deleted 45 entries from its Taliban-al Qaeda blacklist, a move sought by Afghanistan to ease negotiations with insurgents, Austria's U.N. envoy said on Monday.
The Security Council's Taliban-al Qaeda sanctions committee, which was established in 1999 by resolution 1267, began reviewing each of the 488 individuals and entities on the list two years ago amid criticism that some of those under sanctions were either dead or should never have been listed.
The result of the review was the decision to delete nearly 10 percent of the individuals and entities facing a global asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo, the committee's chairman, Ambassador Thomas Mayr-Harting, told reporters.
Of those removed from the list, Mayr-Harting said, 10 were Taliban militants and 35 related to al Qaeda -- 14 individuals and 21 firms, foundations and other organizations.

Jordanian man dies of wounds from southern rocket attack
Rockets being launched like crazy and no one knows where they are coming from ?
The Middle east is such a Mess , and so ass backwards , things will never change !
The Jerusalem Post
A Jordanian taxi driver who was one of five injured in a rocket strike at the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba, Jordan, died of his wounds Monday. The rocket was one of six which struck the area, including a second rocket in Jordan, one near Eilat, two in the Red Sea and one in the Sinai Peninsula.
The rockets were almost definitely fired from Sinai, according to sources in the defense establishment quoted by Israel Radio. The rockets were suspected to have been launched from the Sinai Peninsula by Islamic Jihad, however Egyptian officials denied the assessment.
"No rockets were launched from the Sinai," said Egyptian sources. "To launch rockets from Egypt, it takes equipment and complicated logistical preparations. It is impossible, since the Sinai Peninsula has heavy security."
BBC Arabic reported that Egyptian security forces were scouring the area around Taba and Nuweiba, but had found no sign of a rocket launch.
Eilat Police sappers said that the Grad-type Katyushas were Iranian-made, with a range of some 20 kilometers. The rockets reportedly weighed 6 kilograms each.
According to an IDF statement, soldiers were scouring the area to determine the source of the attacks, which was unclear. The IDF was in contact with the Jordanian and Egyptian armies regarding the incident.

Obama: Patchwork immigration policy unacceptable
It seems that every State that is trying or talking about handling the Immigration issue , is saying the same thing , We don't want a flood of Illegal Criminal Immigrants pouring into the United States !
It doesn't sound like a patchwork to me .
on the other hand what we are hearing from the Obamasiah , (and to be fair the same thing from Bush) is that they want "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" !
What the hell is Comprehensive Immigration Reform ?
Nobody Knows , it's Incomprehensible !
WashingtonPost
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama says he agrees that more control must be exerted over illegal immigration, but he won't accept "a patchwork of 50 different states" acting on their own.
Obama tells CBS he believes immigration control advocates "are absolutely correct." But he also says "what we can't do is demagogue the issue." The president tells anchor Harry Smith he wants to "work with Arizona," while insisting that national immigration policy cannot be left to "anybody who wants to make a name for themselves."

Obama: U.S. Can't "Demagogue" Immigration
"demagogue" immigration or take sudden "anti-immigrant" stances as people who want to make a name for themselves and not help solve what he called "a national problem."
Demagogue-
1 : a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power .
Sounds a lot like you Mr Obama !
2 : a leader championing the cause of the common people in ancient time .
2/3 to 3/4 Of the American People want laws just like the Arizona law to be in place !
Politics suck , and when Politicians play politics with peoples lives they are dangerous , Of course not for the extremely rich politicians but for U.S. citizens who are out of Jobs , Out of work , out of Money , and quickly running out of time !
And No matter how you look at it , when you let 12 to 20 Million Undocumented , Illegal , Criminal Aliens into this country to WORK , it is a lot less jobs for us legal law abiding Residents of this Country !
President Obama described officials who "demagogue" immigration or take sudden "anti-immigrant" stances as people who want to make a name for themselves and not help solve what he called "a national problem."
Mr. Obama spoke with CBS "Early Show" Anchor Harry Smith in an interview scheduled to be broadcast in parts on Sunday and Monday.
The interview comes after the Obama administration scored a major victory in its fight to strike down an Arizona law that, among other things, makes it a state crime to be in the country illegally. Last week, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction preventing the most controversial parts of the law from going into effect.
As National Guard troops start heading to the U.S.-Mexico border this month under direction from the administration, Mr. Obama told Smith he wants to work with Arizona.
"I understand the frustration of people in Arizona," Mr. Obama said. "But what we can't do is demagogue the issue, and what we can't do is allow a patchwork of 50 different states, or cities or localities, where anybody who wants to make a name for themselves suddenly says, 'I'm going to be anti-immigrant, and I'm going try to see if I can solve the problem ourself.' This is a national problem."

failed World Cup footballers undergo public mauling
Imagine that , the North Korean World Cup Team was Publicly scolded for 6 hours for failing to win .
The Norks are just plain whacked , it is a good thing they aren't Muslim , they probably would have been Beheaded .
Guardian U.k.
England's failed footballers should count themselves lucky that their ignominious World Cup exit was met with little more than a public mauling by the media.
Their counterparts from North Korea, who lost all three of their group games, have been subjected to a six-hour excoriation for "betraying" the communist nation's ideological struggle, according to reports.
There are even fears for the safety of the team coach, Kim Jung-hun, who was accused of betraying the son and heir of the regime's "dear leader," Kim Jong-il.
Early this month the players were summoned to an auditorium at the working people's culture palace in Pyongyang, forced onstage and subjected to a six-hour barrage of criticism for their poor performances in South Africa, according to the US-based Radio Free Asia.
Only Jung Tae-se and An Yong-hak were spared a dressing down as they flew directly to Japan, their country of birth and where they play club football, according to an unnamed Chinese businessman the station cites as its source.
The "grand debate" was reportedly witnessed by 400 athletes and sports students, and the country's sports minister. Ri Dong-kyu, a sports commentator for the North's state-run Korean Central TV, led the reprimands, pointing out the shortcomings of each player, South Korean media said.
In true Stalinist style, the players were then "invited" to mount verbal attacks on their coach, Jung-hun.
