U.S. Government Slips Through China Internet Censors With New Technology

Good one, But will anyone have the Gonads to implement it?

Foxnews
The U.S. government has figured out how to bust through Internet censorship filters in order to deliver news and other vital information via e-mail to people in countries like China, according to a recent report.

The official report from the Broadcasting Board of Governors detailed successful testing the agency conducted last year as it tried to slip data into inboxes in Hong Kong and China. The testing involved technology known as Feed Over e-mail, or FOE, to bypass traps the Chinese government has in place to screen out unwanted Internet content.

According to the report, first obtained and published by the nonprofit GovernmentAttic through a Freedom of Information Act request, the technology "performed well in all tests." BBG confirmed the report's authenticity to FoxNews.com.

Experts behind the testing said this information weapon probably could not have done much good in a situation like that unfolding in Egypt, where the government was flat-out blocking Internet access in response to the political unrest.

"If there's a blackout ... nothing works," BBG Director of Information Security Ken Berman said.

But the agency's testing demonstrated that, at least in China, it can be used effectively to transmit everything from RSS feeds to downloadable files to proxy web addresses which users can access to browse an uncensored version of the Internet.

Two dead as Tunisian police fires on protesters

You gotta love Islam, Strife, unrest, riots, police bitch slappin women in the streets and then shooting people because they did not like it.

The later part I don't understand, I thought it was allowable to Bitch slap your women in Islam? Maybe that is just your own Women.

(Reuters) - At least two people were killed and 17 others wounded in northern Tunisia on Saturday when police opened fire to quell a protest after a senior police officer slapped a woman in the face, official and media sources said.

The head of police in the city of El Kef was arrested after the shooting, an Interior Ministry source said.

Four policemen had been arrested earlier on Saturday on suspicion of links to the death on Friday of two civilians while in police custody in Sidi Bouzid, the epicenter of a popular revolt that ousted last month President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and reverberated across the Arab world.

Public confidence in the police has been at a low since the revolt, with many Tunisians blaming police officers for killing protesters and associating them with the ousted president.

Iran opens trial of US 'hikers'

I wish these guys all the luck with the fair trial they are going to receive in Iran !
Uh, well I wish them luck.

Al Jizz era
An Iranian court has begun closed-door proceedings in the espionage trial of three Americans, two still in custody and one freed on bail.

The trial on Sunday of Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, along with that of Sarah Shourd, who was released on $500,000 bail in September, comes 18 months after they were arrested on July 31 2009 near Iran's border with Iraq.

The three, in their late twenties and early thirties, say they were hiking in the mountains of northern Iraq and crossed the unmarked border by mistake.

Iran held them on suspicion of spying, a crime which can carry the death penalty.

Barack Obama, the US president, met Shourd on her return to the United States, an event he called "bittersweet" due to the continued detention of the other two, one of whom is Shourd's fiance.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, suggested last February that the Americans might be released as part of a prisoner swap for Iranians he says were abducted or tricked into going to the United States and jailed without due legal process.

Egypt's Brotherhood to hold talks with government

Egypt's largest opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, said it would begin talks Sunday with the government to try to end the country's political crisis

They also vowed to assist in the further downward spiral into absolute Chaos and repression with an overall Lack of freedom once they implement sharia law.

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's largest opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, said it would begin talks Sunday with the government to try to end the country's political crisis but made clear it would insist on the immediate ouster of longtime authoritarian President Hosni Mubarak.

The decision by the fundamentalist Brotherhood, which has been outlawed since 1954, comes as Egypt's leadership seeks to defuse mass demonstrations — now in their 13th day — by proposing reforms but stopping short of the protesters' key demand that Mubarak step down.

The talks would be the first known discussions between the government and the Brotherhood in years, suggesting the group could gain an open political role in the post-Mubarak era along with other opposition political parties.

The Brotherhood said in a statement that its representatives would meet with Vice President Omar Suleiman to press its "legitimate and just demands." Suleiman has accused the Brotherhood, businessmen and foreigners he did not identify as being behind a wave of looting and arson that swept much of the country last weekend after security forces inexplicably pulled out from the streets.

Philippine Muslim rebel faction rejects talks

5% to 13% of the population of the Philippines is Muslim.

You would think there would not be much of a problem there.

But we are talking about Islam, and whenever you talk about Islam you have to factor in, Ignorance, Strife, Mayhem, riots, Murder, and all around turmoil.

Foxnews
A rogue Muslim rebel commander in the Philippines has formed a separate faction of several hundred fighters and rejected peace talks to end the decades-long secessionist rebellion, leaders of the guerrillas said Saturday.

However, the chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front insisted the rebellious faction would not prevent progress in the negotiations with the government, which are scheduled to resume next week.

Ameril Umbra Kato, who is wanted by the Philippine government for leading attacks on Christian communities that killed dozens of civilians in 2008, resigned seven months ago as leader of a guerrilla unit, the movement's chairman, Murad Ebrahim, told reporters at his southern headquarters.

Kato was to have been given a new assignment but instead accused the rebel group of being "revisionist" and formed his own armed group, called the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, Iqbal said.

"It's a problem, and we are trying to address that because that kind of arrangement is not possible," Iqbal told The Associated Press. "There is only one command. We have only one organization, and everybody must toe the line."

He believes the differences with Kato are only over tactics, adding that the upcoming negotiations are compatible with the concept of jihad or armed struggle.

"If we cannot handle this ... we will tell the government that we cannot solve it," he said.

Pakistan likely to release US diplomat

And if he is smart he will leave Pakistan Immediately.

Foxnews
Pakistani officials are indicating that a U.S. diplomat charged with murder in Pakistan may soon be released.

Two Pakistani officials in the United States told The Associated Press on Friday they expect Davis to be free in days, once a Pakistani court goes over documents U.S. officials have submitted to prove his diplomatic status. The Pakistani officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter. U.S. officials say Raymond Davis, who works at the consulate in Lahore, acted in self-defense in shooting and killing two armed men who approached him on the street after robbing someone else.

Israel shocked by Obama's "betrayal" of Mubarak

Well we are not shocked, It is just more of the same from the Clueless one.

(Reuters) - If Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak is toppled, Israel will lose one of its very few friends in a hostile neighborhood and President Barack Obama will bear a large share of the blame, Israeli pundits said on Monday.

Political commentators expressed shock at how the United States as well as its major European allies appeared to be ready to dump a staunch strategic ally of three decades, simply to conform to the current ideology of political correctness.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told ministers of the Jewish state to make no comment on the political cliffhanger in Cairo, to avoid inflaming an already explosive situation. But Israel's President Shimon Peres is not a minister.

"We always have had and still have great respect for President Mubarak," he said on Monday. He then switched to the past tense. "I don't say everything that he did was right, but he did one thing which all of us are thankful to him for: he kept the peace in the Middle East."

Newspaper columnists were far more blunt.

One comment by Aviad Pohoryles in the daily Maariv was entitled "A Bullet in the Back from Uncle Sam." It accused Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of pursuing a naive, smug, and insular diplomacy heedless of the risks.

Who is advising them, he asked, "to fuel the mob raging in the streets of Egypt and to demand the head of the person who five minutes ago was the bold ally of the president ... an almost lone voice of sanity in a Middle East?"

"The politically correct diplomacy of American presidents throughout the generations ... is painfully naive."

Several thousand protesters have jammed Cairo's Tahrir Square today after a night of clam, USA TODAY's Theodore May reports..

Despite the heavy presence of the military, many demonstrators are on edge, saying that the large turnout anticipated following the afternoon prayers could inspire violence.

"It's getting dangerous out there," said Sayed Mohamed Metwali, 36, who is unemployed. "12 men beat me on the street when they found out I had been at the protest."

An informal economy has sprung up around the square, with tea vendors and cigarette sellers prowling the protests. Over the course of the morning, protesters rallied, chanting for Mubarak's departure and, notably, calling for the demise of the United States.

The Obama administration says it is in talks with top Egyptian officials about the possibility of Mubarak immediately resigning, and an interim government forming before free and fair elections this year, the Associated Press reports.

NASA's Kepler Telescope Finds Plenty of Planets Outside Solar System

Very Awesome.

Foxnews
An orbiting NASA telescope is finding whole new worlds of possibilities in the search for alien life, including more than 50 potential planets that appear to be in the habitable zone.

In just a year of peering out at a small slice of the galaxy, the Kepler telescope has spotted 1,235 possible planets outside Earth's solar system. Amazingly, 54 of them seem to be in the zone that could be hospitable to life -- that is, not too hot or too cold, Kepler chief scientist William Borucki said.

Until now, only two planets outside Earth's solar system were even thought to be in the "Goldilocks zone." And both those discoveries are highly disputed.

Fifty-four possibilities is "an enormous amount, an inconceivable amount," Borucki said. "It's amazing to see this huge number because up to now, we've had zero."

The more than 1,200 newfound bodies are not confirmed as planets yet, but Borucki estimates 80 percent of them eventually will be verified. At least one other astronomer believes Kepler could be 90 percent accurate.

Egyptian army moves between rival camps in Cairo

Muslims will protest and riot at the drop of a hat.
Given any circumstances, any place, any time.

If you think it is bad now, wait till tomorrow after They get whipped into a frenzy During Friday Prayers.

The Shiite will hit the Fan.

Foxnews
Egyptian army tanks and soldiers moved to end violence between anti-government protesters and supporters of President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo's central square on Thursday after standing by for nearly a day as the two sides battled with rocks, sticks, bottles and firebombs.

Hours after automatic gunfire hit the anti-government protest camp at Tahrir Square, killing at least three protesters, soldiers carrying rifles could be seen lining up between the two sides around 11 a.m.. Several hundred other soldiers were moving toward the front line.

Four tanks cleared a highway overpass from where Mubarak supporters had hurled rocks and firebombs onto the protesters.

The pre-dawn firing escalated what appeared to be a well-orchestrated series of assaults on the demonstrators that began when Mubarak supporters charged into the square on horses and camels on Wednesday afternoon, lashing people with whips, while others rained firebombs and rocks from rooftops.

Anti-Mubarak demonstrators traded showers of rocks and other projectiles in a counter-assault that drove their assailants out of the square within hours. Anti-government protesters took army trucks and set up an ad-hoc frontline on the northern edge of the square, near the famed Egyptian Museum. The two sides traded volleys of rocks and Molotov cocktails for much of the night, until sustained bursts of automatic gunfire and powerful single shots rained into the square starting at around 4 a.m. and continuing for more than two hours.

Global Warming? WTF!

Global Warming is a Bitch, I have been Freezing my Ass off while digging out from all the Snow.

Maybe when the Global Freezing starts, it will help melt it all away.

(CNN) -- Bitter cold temperatures plunged into Texas and the Deep South Thursday as a massive winter storm exited the United States for the Canadian Maritimes.

The backside of the historic weather system that has already dumped nearly 2 feet of snow in some locales was still powerful enough to drop several more inches of snow on Maine and New Hampshire on Thursday, the National Weather Service forecast.

The Arctic cold front complicated cleanup efforts and spurred freeze warnings that spanned much of the nation's midsection.

Leaked Cable Reveals Previously Undisclosed 9/11 Suspects

whoever the Jackass's are that felt their was insufficient evidence, need to have their heads examined.

This is ridiculous.

Foxnews
As many as four men from Qatar are suspected of aiding the Al Qaeda hijackers in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, but investigators concluded in the days following the attacks that there was insufficient evidence to charge the suspects, law enforcement sources told Fox News on Tuesday.

Officials spoke after The (London) Daily Telegraph published leaked diplomatic cables obtained by WikiLeaks that were sent between the U.S. embassy in Doha and the Department of Homeland Security in Washington.

The documents reveal that on Aug. 15, 2001, three men from Qatar flew to the U.S. from London. They visited New York City and Washington D.C., and made trips to the World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, the White House and "various areas" in Virginia.

They then flew to Los Angeles where they checked into a hotel and stayed for several days, checking out on Sept. 10.

According to the memo, "hotel cleaning staff grew suspicious of the men because they noticed pilot type uniforms, several laptops and several cardboard boxes addressed to Syria, Jerusalem, Afghanistan and Jordan in the room."

"The men had ... a cellular phone attached by wire to a computer," it added. "The room also contained pin feed computer paper print outs with headers listing pilot names, airlines, flight numbers, and flight times."

Five other co-conspirators were allegedly involved, but never named by the government.

Al Qaeda suspects killed in Mauritania car blast

Excellent, what better way for an Al Qaida Assclown to have his pathetic life ended.

(Reuters) - As many as three suspected al Qaeda militants were killed when their vehicle exploded during a gunfight with Mauritanian soldiers on the outskirts of the capital early on Wednesday, a security source said.

The vehicle was one of three that crossed illegally into the West African country from Mali over the weekend, leading the Mauritanian military in a pursuit through the desert, security sources said.

"According to initial conclusions by the Mauritanian army, three insurgents may have died in the SUV explosion. It is still difficult to be certain as the car was completely destroyed and the corpses are in pieces," a Mauritanian security official said on condition of anonymity.

Another source said several Mauritanian soldiers were lightly injured in the blast, which occurred after soldiers and the suspected insurgents exchanged fire.

Florida court strikes down Obama's healthcare reform law

So it is Unconstitutional, Obama says to bad!

Thumbing their noses at us Again.

The Times of India
WASHINGTON: A US court in Florida has struck down President Barack Obama's historic healthcare reforms, ruling that the requirement for individuals to purchase insurance is unconstitutional and is too central to making the law function.

The White House termed it as judicial activism.

Giving a major blow to the historic Health Care Reform Act which was signed by Obama last year, the US District Judge Roger Vinson in his judgement ruled that the so-called individual mandate exceeds congressional power.

The whole law cannot stand as the law depends on the mandate to work. "I must conclude that the individual mandate and the remaining provisions are all inextricably bound together in purpose and must stand or fall as a single unit," said Vinson, who on Monday became the second federal judge in two months to rule against the individual mandate.

Cairo crowds swell in anticipation of massive march

Mubarek, will probably be gone by the end of the day;if not things are gonna tip right over the edge.

The Military has said they will not use force, and Mubarek wants to negotiate.

It is hard to negotiate with a few million people, and an Army.

The Los Angeles Times
Helicopters thundered low over central Cairo's Tahrir Square early Tuesday as crowds swelled in anticipation of what protesters hoped would be a massive march aimed at bringing down the 30-year regime of President Hosni Mubarak.

Thousands of pedestrians walked past tanks positioned around the square, where organizers have appealed for a million compatriots to flood the streets.

Egyptian authorities shut down Internet traffic and cellphone service ahead of the protest, in the apparent hope that it would prevent demonstrators from coming to the square.

Al Arabiya reported that authorities have blocked the road between the city of Suez and Cairo to stymie the flow of protesters. The ruling National Democratic Party has also called for a counter demonstration in support of Mubarak. Meanwhile, a coalition of Egyptian human rights groups have issued a call for Mubarak to step down.

Crowds inside the key expanse at the heart of the Egyptian capital have been growing day after day since Saturday, when security forces stopped trying to halt demonstrators from gathering in the square.

Tuesday's new arrivals seemed to energize protesters who had spent another chilly night in the plaza, and the crowd broke into a full-bodied roar of "Down, Mubarak, down!"

Iraq war casualties rise in January

Not really liking the title they gave this news story, The Iraq war has been over a while.
If these were us Military being killed, then Maybe.
But seeing as how it is the Iraqi People killing the Iraqi people, I say it is a bunch of ignorant douchebags that just want things their way not the peoples way.

(Reuters) - The number of civilians, police and soldiers killed in violence in Iraq climbed sharply in January as militants launched a new wave of attacks, according to government statistics released on Tuesday.

The health ministry said 159 civilians were killed in bombings and other attacks last month compared with 89 in December, 105 in November and 120 in October. It was the highest civilian toll since September.

Fifty-five police officers and 45 soldiers were killed, compared to 41 and 21 respectively in December, according to interior and defense ministry figures.

Many of the deaths occurred in a two-week period around a Muslim religious rite as suspected insurgents challenged the new Shi'ite-led government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, attacking police and targeting pilgrims streaming into the holy Shi'ite city of Kerbala.
