Truck bomb kills dozens in capital of Somalia

Dozens of kids and their parents were killed while trying to register for scholarships at a university!

Yep that will teach the Somali Government and the AU peacekeepers !

(And they vow to follow through with more large scale attacks)

Al Qaida, A misguided gang of retards.
Islam A Misguided religion of retards.

Boston.com
Al-Qaida-linked militants launched their deadliest single bombing in Somalia on Tuesday, killing 70 people and demonstrating how the group that blocked aid to famine victims can still mount devastating violence even after most of its fighters fled the capital in August.

A truck loaded with drums of fuel exploded outside the Ministry of Education on one of central Mogadishu's busiest streets, where students and their parents were registering for scholarships offered by the Turkish government.

Rebels of the al-Shabab militant group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying it was striking government officials and foreigners -- referring to African Union peacekeeping troops supporting the U.N.-backed regime.

Although the Islamic fighters made what they called a "tactical withdrawal" from their bases in Mogadishu amid an AU offensive in August, they had vowed to carry out devastating suicide attacks.

Taliban Using Modern Means to Add to Sway

No cell phones for you, especially at night.

This is what happens when you let a gang get their way, you end up with the Taliban, it is directly the fault of the afghan government and its people that things are the way they are in Afghanistan and even Pakistan.

Would you sit by and allow some dickhead to tell you what you gotta do, who you have to listen to, when you have to pray, who you can pray to, what you can wear, who you can date(or do!)when you can talk on your cell phone, no you would not.

The Taliban feels they are allowed to do this to all the people within their reach, using their religion as a weapon to do it(Their Beliefs). if they would have been put in their place years ago this would not be happening now!

New York Times
Punctually, at 8 o’clock every evening, the cellphone signals disappear in this provincial capital. Under pressure from the Taliban, the major carriers turn off their signal towers, effectively severing most of the connections to the rest of the world.

This now occurs in some portion of more than half the provinces in Afghanistan, and exemplifies the Taliban’s new and more subtle ways of asserting themselves, even as NATO generals portray the insurgents as a diminished force less able to hold ground. The question is whether the Taliban need to hold territory as they once did in order to influence the population. Increasingly, it seems, the answer is no.

Tactics like the cellphone offensive have allowed the Taliban to project their presence in far more insidious and sophisticated ways, using the instruments of modernity that they once shunned. The shutoff sends a daily reminder to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Afghans that the Taliban still hold substantial sway over their future.

‘Invisibility Cloak’ Uses Mirages to Make Objects Vanish

Once again Science Fiction becomes reality.

Wired
It happens when a big change in temperature over a small distance bends light rays so they’re sent towards the eye rather than bouncing off the surface. So if you see a pool of blue water in the middle of the desert it’s just the blue sky being redirected from the warm ground and sent directly into your eye. Your brain, being the clever little computer that it is, swaps this mad image out for something more sensible: a pool of water.

With that in mind, the researchers wanted to find a material that has an exceptional ability to conduct heat and quickly transfer it to surrounding areas to mimic the light-distorting temperature gradients of the desert. That material, they found, was sheets of carbon nanotubes.

The nanotubes — one-molecule-thick sheets of carbon wrapped up into cylindrical tube — have the density of air but the strength of steel. They’re also excellent conductors, making them an ideal material to exploit the “mirage effect.”

Through electrical stimulation, the transparent sheet of highly aligned nanotubes can be quickly heated to high temperatures. By transferring that heat to its surrounding areas, a steep temperature gradient is generated, which causes the light rays to bend away from the object concealed behind the device. Therefore, the object appears invisible.

Ohio Muslim Inmates Sue Over Meal Preparation

Too bad, this man is a convicted murderer, he should feel lucky he is still alive and able to even eat, Unlike his victims.

Maybe a steady diet of Bacon will help the man get over his delusional religious views.

Foxnews
A death row inmate says the Ohio prison system is denying him meals prepared according to Islamic law -- known as halal -- while at the same time providing kosher meals to Jewish prisoners, according to a federal lawsuit that alleges a civil rights violation.
Condemned inmate Abdul Awkal says the prison system's failure to provide the halal meals is a restraint on his religious freedoms.
Awkal, joined by a second inmate not on death row, says the vegetarian and non-pork options offered by the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction aren't good enough. The inmates say the food must be prepared in specific fashion, such as ensuring that an animal is butchered by slitting its throat and draining its blood, to conform with Islamic beliefs.

"The issue of eating Halal meals is especially important to me because I face a death sentence," Awkal said in a filing in federal court earlier this year. "It is important to me that I follow the requirements of my faith as I approach death."

Pakistan, Muslims Killing Muslims.

So to show how tolerant and peaceful Islam can be, a group of Hazara Muslims (Sunnis) attacked and killed some Shiite Muslims.
Don't you just like Islam a whole bunch more now, I mean look how tolerant and Peaceful Islam is, as long as you are the right kind of Muslim.

New York Times
Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a bus in southwest Pakistan on Tuesday, killing at least 13 Shiite Muslims and wounding another seven, officials said.

The attack took place on the outskirts of Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan Province, and followed what is becoming a grim pattern of sectarian attacks in the region. Sunnis belonging to the extremist sectarian group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in the region have repeatedly attacked minority Shiites, who are mostly members of the Hazara ethnic group.

On Tuesday morning, attackers riding in a van intercepted the bus carrying mostly Shiite commuters traveling to a market. The gunmen forced non-Hazara passengers to get off the bus and then opened fire on the Hazara passengers inside the bus, according to Abdul Khaliq Hazara, chairman of the Hazara Democratic Party, which represents the community.

The arrests of 700 people on Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend fueled the anger of anti-Wall Street protesters camping in a Manhattan park and sparked support elsewhere in the country as the campaign entered its third week Sunday.
Occupy Wall Street started with fewer than a dozen college students spending days and nights in Zuccotti Park, a plaza near the city's financial center. But a day after Saturday's mass arrests, hundreds of protesters were resolute and like-minded groups in other cities had joined in.

New York City officials "thought we were going to leave and we haven't," 19-year-old Kira Moyer-Sims of Portland, Ore., said. "We're going to stay as long as we can."

700 arrested on Brooklyn Bridge after protest

What the hell do they want?
Nobody knows.
When do they want it?
Immediately.

I've never been to N.Y. But I've heard about it's supposed toughness.

I can only imagine that if these nitwits start interfering in the everyday New Yorkers Life, they may end up getting their ass's kicked.

Protesting is one thing, interfering in working peoples lives, not so good.

USA Today

More than 700 protesters demonstrating against corporate greed, global warming and social inequality, among other grievances, were arrested Saturday after they swarmed the Brooklyn Bridge and shut down a lane of traffic for several hours in a tense confrontation with police.

They sleep on air mattresses, use Mac laptops and play drums. They go to the bathroom at the local McDonald's. A few times a day, they march down to Wall Street, yelling, "This is what democracy looks like!"
It all has the feel of a classic street protest with one exception: It's unclear exactly what the demonstrators want.

"When all the bailout money was spent on bonuses and stuff everyone was outraged, but no one did anything because no one feels like they can," protester Jesse Wilson, 22, said this week when asked to take articulate the cause. "It's time for us to come together to realize we are the masses, and we can make things happen."
But he couldn't say what, exactly, he wanted to happen. Handmade signs carried by some of the demonstrators — "Less is More" and "Capitalism is evil" — hardly make it clearer.

Where in the World Is Sean Penn? Protesting in Egypt

The actor was invited by Egyptian actor Khaled el-Nabawi, in part to demonstrate that the country was once again a safe place for tourists.
I would not go to Egypt at all now, it is not safe for outsiders let alone Americans.

Here's that Sean Penn guy again, this time in Egypt protesting with the people and the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical factions that are vying foe a slot in the new Egyptian Government.

Way to go Sean, Can't wait for your next movie to not watch !

Reuters
Sean Penn joined activists in Egypt on Friday to push the country's military leaders to transfer power to civilians more quickly.

The actor and activist joined protestors in Tahrir Square as part of a demonstration called "Reclaiming the Revolution," according to Reuters.

"The world is inspired by the call for freedom by the courageous revolution of Egypt,” Penn told Ahram Online. “There are still struggles forward, there are constitutional issues, there [needs to be] a transition of power from the military to the people.”

'Occupy Wall Street' Protesters March to NYPD Headquarters

The Sixties will go down in history as the decade of protests, fighting against the man and corporate greed...
Wait, its 2011.
Damn hippies need to go home and shower so they can look for a job on Monday !

Foxnews
More than 1,000 demonstrators speaking out against corporate greed and social inequality took their protest to the New York Police Department headquarters Friday.
The Occupy Wall Street protesters camping out in lower Manhattan marched several blocks north to police headquarters, where they protested the police response to the downtown protest, now in its second week.
The crowd may have swelled due to a false rumor that the band Radiohead would appear. Since the protest began two weeks ago, turnout has varied but the numbers have reached as high as about 1,500 previously.
Critics have accused officers of being heavy-handed, saying they have roughed up people who did nothing wrong. The NYPD has disputed that claim.
The protesters also say they're upset about reports from The Associated Press that an NYPD intelligence unit has sought to infiltrate the city's Muslim community.

(no corporations, the rich need to share their money, they want revolution and they want it now, also they do not want people to monitor possible terrorists)
