Stuxnet may be part of Iran atom woes

Ha Ha ! Iran Having some problems with their Centrifuges ?
Aww , how funny though!

(Reuters) - Iran has been experiencing years of problems with equipment used in its uranium enrichment program and the Stuxnet computer virus may be one of the factors, a former top U.N. nuclear inspections official said.

Olli Heinonen, who stepped down in August as head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog's inspections worldwide, said there may be many reasons for technical glitches that have cut the number of working centrifuges at Iran's Natanz enrichment plant.

"One of the reasons is the basic design of this centrifuge ... this is not that solid," Heinonen, a former deputy director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and now a senior fellow at Harvard University, told Reuters on Friday.

Asked about the Stuxnet virus, he said: "Sure, this could be one of the reasons ... There is no evidence that it was, but there has been quite a lot of malfunctioning centrifuges."

Security experts have said the release of Stuxnet could have been a state-backed attack on Iran's nuclear program, which Tehran says is designed to produce electricity but which Western leaders suspect is a disguised effort to develop nuclear bombs.

White House Defends Ghailani Prosecution Amid Criticism of Terror Policy

White House chief spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday that the administration will use "all the tools at our disposal" to try Guantanamo Bay detainees.

Of course they will.
They will try to be nice to them!
They will try to make sure that they are comfortable at all costs!
They will try to make sure that they all Know IF they are convicted, they will be taken care of the rest of their lives.
They will also make sure they can still spread their hatred within our prison system.

It's disgusting, it's irresponsible, it is a flat out embarrassing SHAME, that our Government is doing everything they can to squash the American way of life by enabling Terrorists to have more rights than us!

Foxnews
The White House is pushing back against criticism of its commitment to prosecuting some terror suspects in civilian courts after a federal jury convicted former Guantanamo Bay detainee Ahmed Ghailani on only one of 285 charges.

Ghailani was convicted of conspiring in Al Qaeda's 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa and faces a sentence of 20 years to life behind bars. The Justice Department has said it will seek the maximum punishment.

White House chief spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday that the administration will use "all the tools at our disposal" to try Guantanamo Bay detainees. But Republicans have seized on the Ghailani verdict as an example why all terror suspects should be prosecuted in military commissions.

The resolution on Iran in the General Assembly's human rights committee was sponsored by the United States, European Union, Canada and other Western countries. It received 80 votes in favor -- six more than a similar declaration received last year -- 44 against and 57 abstentions.

The resolution said the assembly "expresses deep concern at serious ongoing human rights violations in the Islamic Republic of Iran." Such violations include torture, flogging, amputations, stoning, and "pervasive gender inequality and violence against women."

China's Internet?

China's growing ability to control and manipulate Internet traffic

This is a big Big Problem!
But it is doubtful anything will be done about it.

Computerworld - A report submitted to Congress on Wednesday by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission expressed concerns over what the commission claims is China's growing ability to control and manipulate Internet traffic.

The report points to two specific incidents that happened earlier this year where actions taken inside China had a direct impact on Internet traffic in the U.S. and other regions of the world.

In one of the incidents, traffic to and from about 15% of all Internet destinations was routed through servers belonging to China Telecom, a state-owned telecommunications company.

The rerouting happened on April 8 and lasted for about 18 minutes. The traffic hijacking impacted U.S. government and military networks including those belonging to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp., the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Department of Commerce, NASA and the U.S. Senate.

Commercial sites including those belonging to Microsoft, Dell and Yahoo were also impacted.

Trial Omitted Statements by Ghailani

WTF?
An absolutely disgusting, ridiculous, joke of a Trial !
Everyone within the Obama Administration should be ashamed of themselves, They have let everyone in America down. well almost everyone, I'm sure groups like code pinko and people at the Huffington(Joke)Post are ecstatic.

Do you all feel as though the Terrorists are being handed the Keys to the United States, while we are being kicked to the Curb!

New York Times
Of all the potential evidence against Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, one thing that was never introduced or considered during his trial was Mr. Ghailani’s own words about his role in the 1998 bombing of the American Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

He did not speak at his trial. But he had previously discussed, in a 2007 interrogation while being detained at the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, how he had gotten caught up in what turned out to be a Qaeda plot.

These statements were never presented to the jury, which on Wednesday acquitted Mr. Ghailani of all but one of more than 280 charges of conspiracy and murder. Mr. Ghailani’s lawyers, who argued that their client was duped into helping Al Qaeda, said the statements were coerced, untrustworthy and inadmissible.

Mob in Athens abuses Muslims celebrating Eid

Awww , to bad !

Maybe Muslims are just not wanted in Greece,
Could that be why so many Muslims immigrate there?

Dawn.com
ATHENS: Dozens of far-right activists and local residents threw eggs and taunted hundreds of Muslim immigrants as they gathered to pray in a central square for Eidul Azha surrounded by a protective cordon of riot police.

Greece, which has become the main immigrant gateway to the European Union, has a growing Muslim community and tensions between locals and incomers have run high in some Athens areas such as Attiki square, the scene of Tuesday’s incident.

Athens’ Muslim community is without an official mosque and prayers are usually held at cultural centres or community halls or private apartments around the city. The Muslim community in Greece is estimated at about 1 million, in a country where most people are Greek Orthodox Christians.

While the Muslims prayed, some locals shouted obscenities from their balconies and waved Greek flags. Leaflets that depicted pigs were scattered across the square.

Oh No, Goat prices soar !

What do you mean my goat is going to cost me more money ?

The Taliban are going to be pissed off this weekend, they may have to share.

Dawn.com
ISLAMABAD: Most of Pakistan’s Muslims will be unable to join in Eid celebrations with the traditional animal sacrifice this week as cattle prices have more than doubled in the wake of the country’s fatal floods.

After two months of catastrophic late summer flooding swept hundreds of thousands of animals away, livestock traders say supply is so short that they have had to hike prices beyond the means of lower and middle class families.

The annual Islamic holiday, which falls from November 17 to 19 in Pakistan, is marked by the ritual sacrifice after morning prayers of sheep, goats, cows and other livestock whose meat is then shared with the poor.

But the average price of a goat has climbed to 21,000 rupees (250 dollars), according to an AFP survey of markets in five cities across Pakistan – a sum far too high for most families in the impoverished and largely rural nation.

Sheep were fetching the equivalent of between 175 and 300 US dollars and the price of an average cow was 400 dollars, while the more highly-prized bulls were being sold for up to 1,100 dollars.

China Hackers strike again

It is not so much the fact that once again China has Hacked into the Pentagons websites.
But the fact that this was done back in April.
China does not have the worlds largest super computer for nothing.

Foxnews
Nearly 15 percent of the world's Internet traffic -- including data from the Pentagon, the office of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and other U.S. government websites -- was briefly redirected through computer networks in China last April, according to a congressional commission report obtained by FoxNews.com.

It was not immediately clear whether the incident was deliberate, but the April 18 redirection could have enabled malicious activities and potentially caused an unintended "diversion of data" from many U.S. government, military and commercial websites, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission states in a 316-page report to Congress.

Religion Offers No Break on Airport Screening, TSA Says

Well that's a relief.

But what are they going to do when all the Muslim women who were told by CAIR that they can refuse all of this and that they can perform their own pat down, go ballistic ?

Awwww to bad, no religious excuse for you.

prepare for extreme Muslim outrage!

Foxnews
WASHINGTON -- The Transportation Security Administration says airline passengers won't get out of body imaging screening or pat-downs based on their religious beliefs.

TSA chief John Pistole told the Senate Homeland Security
Committee on Tuesday that passengers who refuse to go through a full-body scanner machine and reject a pat-down won't be allowed to board, even if they turned down the in-depth screening for religious reasons.

"That person is not going to get on an airplane," Pistole said in response to a question from Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., on whether the TSA would provide exemptions for passengers whose religious beliefs do not allow them to go through a physically revealing body scan or be touched by screeners.

Civil rights groups contend the more intensive screening violates civil liberties including freedom of religion, the right to privacy and the constitutional protection against unreasonable searches.

What about our right to be safe and not terrorized by some idiot hell bent on Jihad ?

What about our right not to be blown up ?

Welders Detained in Deadly China High-Rise Fire

Knowing how China likes to deal with these Incidents, These Welders, When found guilty will be executed.

Foxnews
SHANGHAI -- Police detained unlicensed welders Tuesday on suspicion of accidentally starting a fire that engulfed a high-rise apartment building under renovation in China's business capital, killing at least 53 people, as public anger grew over the government's handling of the disaster.

A preliminary investigation showed that four welders improperly operated their equipment, setting off Monday's fire in Shanghai, the city government and state television reported.

Witnesses and building residents quoted earlier by state media said the blaze began when building materials caught fire. It then spread quickly to scaffolding covering the 28-story building, which houses a number of retired teachers as well as other families.

In addition to the 53 fatalities, the city government said Tuesday that more than 70 other people had been rushed to hospitals. Deputy Mayor Shen Jun said 17 were in critical condition.

Scientists witness apparent black hole birth

No it's not in Washington D.C.

For the first time, scientists believe they have witnessed the birth of a black hole.

The evidence began arriving 30 years ago from a star 50 million light-years away that had imploded, setting into motion events that created a region where gravity is so great that nothing can escape, even light.

The initial 1979 observation of the exploding star was made by an amateur astronomer from Western Maryland, but the profession's top scientists have studied it intently with increasingly sophisticated orbiting X-ray telescopes.

In announcing the discovery Monday at NASA headquarters, the researchers said that although the information they have collected is consistet with the birth of a baby black hole, they cannot rule out other possibilities. Nonetheless, they spoke enthusiastically about what they are learning and will learn about the evolution of black holes.

Muslim-Christian Tensions Rising in Egypt

Incompatibility , Intolerance .
Why Can't Muslims leave other people alone to live their lives like they want?

Funny how wherever you have a population of Muslims, mixed with a few different people(even when those people are Muslim)You see Violence and turmoil!

AOL News
CAIRO (Nov. 13) -- The case of two Egyptian women who fled their priest husbands and supposedly converted to Islam before being forcibly returned to the Coptic Church has gripped the media and fanned the flames of sectarian tension in the Arab world's most populous country.

Now, the domestic story appears to have spiraled into a regional flash point. Deadly bombings targeted Christians across Baghdad on Wednesday, killing five and injuring 20. The attacks came a little over a week after the killing of dozens of Christians in an assault on a church in Baghdad.

An al-Qaida affiliate organization known as the Islamic State of Iraq claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying they were retribution for the "imprisonment" of Muslims in Egypt. The group issued a warning to Egypt's Christian population, threatening to target the community and churches unless the women were released, turning the spotlight once again on the festering Muslim-Christian relations in Egypt.

Whether or not the two women are really being detained against their will is as elusive as the facts surrounding their disappearance. What is known is that both Coptic women fled their husbands and were returned to the church by state security forces. Camilia Shehata was missing for days in July, while Wafaa Constantine took off in 2004. The Coptic Church denies either converted; both are in monasteries.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico -- Gunmen burst into a bar called "Desesperados" in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and opened fire on Sunday, killing five people and wounding nine others, authorities said.

Assailants also killed the state's prisons director and his son in a second attack in the area, which has turned into a deadly battleground for warring drug cartels.

The state's prisons used to be the site of frequent battles between gangs, but deaths in such disputes had appeared to decline over the last year.

Karzai's remarks concern Petraeus

WTF?

Karzai Wants the U.S. to leave the Taliban Alone ?
Why else would he say this.

I say Predator drone strikes in Afghanistan now.
It's what we need to pick up the pace a little bit and to tell Karzai to STFU, And sit in the corner till it is over.

The Washington Post
Officials said Petraeus expressed "astonishment and disappointment" with Karzai's call, in an interview Saturday with The Washington Post, to "reduce military operations" and end U.S. Special Operations raids in southern Afghanistan that coalition officials said have killed or captured hundreds of Taliban commanders in recent months.

In a meeting Sunday morning with Ashraf Ghani, who leads the Afghan government's planning on transition, Petraeus made what several officials described as "hypothetical" references to an inability to continue U.S. operations in the face of Karzai's remarks.

More than 2 million Muslim pilgrims begin haj

Well it is the start of the Hajj, The mass pilgrimage of Muslims heading to Mecca.
Following the Supposed footsteps of the one and only pedophile Prophet, Mohammed.
This is the greatest Goal (next to Martyrdom) of many Muslim's in the Religion of peace known as Islam.

How many will be killed this year in their journey to Mecca ?

2006= 345
2004= 251

Looking at this, it seems that it goes in a bit of a cycle, the past couple years excluding deaths from diseases it has not been as bad.

Maybe this year will be different.

(Reuters) - At least 2.5 million Muslims began the annual haj pilgrimage on Sunday, heading to an encampment near the holy city of Mecca to retrace the route taken by the Prophet Mohammad 14 centuries ago.

Traveling on foot, by public transport and in private cars, the pilgrims will stream through a mountain pass to a valley at Mina, some three km (two miles) outside Mecca. The path is the same as the Prophet himself took on his last pilgrimage.

The haj, one of the world's biggest displays of mass religious devotion lasts for five days. In the past it has been marred by fires, hotel collapses, police clashes with protesters and deadly stampedes.

Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef said on Wednesday the kingdom could not rule out an attack by Al Qaeda's regional wing, although the kingdom's forces were ready to combat any such operations.
