UK: You better not pout. You better not cry. You better watch out - I'm telling you why.

The "Christmas Cutters" and "Mutilation parties" are coming to town.

Ain't diversity grand?

Hundreds of British schoolgirls are facing the terrifying prospect of female genital mutilation (FGM) over the Christmas holidays as experts warn the practice continues to flourish across the country. Parents typically take their daughters back to their country of origin for FGM during school holidays, but The Independent on Sunday has been told that "cutters" are being flown to the UK to carry out the mutilation at "parties" involving up to 20 girls to save money.

The police face growing criticism for failing to prosecute a single person for carrying out FGM in 25 years; new legislation from 2003 which prohibits taking a girl overseas for FGM has also failed to secure a conviction.

Experts say the lack of convictions, combined with the Government's failure to invest enough money in education and prevention strategies, mean the practice continues to thrive. Knowledge of the health risks and of the legislation remains patchy among practising communities, while beliefs about the supposed benefits for girls remain firm, according to research by the Foundation for Women's Health, Research and Development (Forward).

As a result, specialist doctors and midwives are struggling to cope with increasing numbers of women suffering from long-term health problems, including complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

[...]

FGM is classified into four types, of varying severity; type 3 is the most mutilating and involves total removal of the clitoris, labia and a narrowing of the whole vagina.

An estimated 70,000 women living in the UK have undergone FGM, and 20,000 girls remain at risk, according to Forward. The practice is common in 28 African countries, including Somalia, Sudan and Nigeria, as well as some Middle Eastern and Asian countries such as Malaysia and Yemen. It is generally considered to be an essential rite of passage to suppress sexual pleasure, preserve girls' purity and cleanliness, and is necessary for marriage in many communities even now. It has no religious significance.

But you sure don't hear the Imams putting a FATWA on the practice now, do you? No, but the multicultural mavens in the UK have appointed something called an "FGM Co-ordinator" to "drive forward a co-ordinated government response to this appalling crime and make recommendations for future work."

No word on making any arrests, though. I guess that wouldn't be politically correct. Or something.

"Racial" tensions in Rochester schools.

This time it's the marauding Muslim Somalis vs. the African Americans. Last week it was 20 marauding Muslim Somalis on 1 white guy.

(There is no comment from the Diversity Council.)

From KAAL.TV:

Racial tensions are rising within the Rochester School District. The most recent incident took place this morning when a group of students erupted into a fight. According to police that fight was between a group of Somalis and African Americans. It happened in the cafeteria.

Police say no weapons were used and no one was seriously injured. School District Officials wouldn't talk to us on camera, but did issue a statement. They say they are continuing to gather information about the fight, and that “student safety is their utmost concern.”

We also talked to the Somali Community Service Organization, which says violence is a problem that needs to be addressed before it gets worse. "Everyone needs peaceful. We don't need more problems. No, we don't need to be worried our kid is going to school because they're going to get in a fight because they always know school is safe for our kids," said Andrea Bec.

Bec says the one way to make the community safe is to quote, "hold a meeting to get to the root of the problem. These are serious issues that need to be discussed in all the schools with the teachers and principals and all those and their parents so the community will do something together," said Bec.

The Diversity Council runs a program called Spark in the Rochester Public Schools. Its goal is to reduce prejudice and discrimination and foster tolerance among students. We tried calling the diversity council today, but our calls were not returned.

This latest fight comes less than a week after a racially inspired altercation broke out at Owatonna High School. Students say it was between 20 Somali students and one white student.

Diversity Czar wants "more people of color, gays" in media

"And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions, we will not change the problem. But we're in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power."

Mark Lloyd, the FCC Diversity czar, has called for white media personalities to step down in favor of "people of color, gays and other people". Mr. Lloyd had described dictator Hugo Chavez's rise to power as "an incredible revolution - a democratic revolution."

WTF is happening to our country? Washington Times

President Obama's diversity czar at the Federal Communications Commission has spoken publicly of getting white media executives to "step down" in favor of minorities, prescribed policies to make liberal talk radio more successful, and described Hugo Chavez's rise to power in Venezuela "an incredible revolution." [...]

Mr. Lloyd spoke about the need to remove white people from powerful positions in the media to give minorities a fairer chance.

"There's nothing more difficult than this because we have really truly, good, white people in important positions, and the fact of the matter is that there are a limited number of those positions," he said.

"And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions, we will not change the problem. But we're in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power."

He added: "There are few things, I think, more frightening in the American mind than dark-skinned black men. Here I am."
The only frightening thing in my mind is some unelected official replacing successful talk radio hosts with neo-Marxists.
