Czech President calls UN climate meeting propaganda

"It's a propagandistic exercise where 13-year-old girls from some far-away country perform a pre-rehearsed poem," he said. "It's simply not dignified." Reuters

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Czech President Vaclav Klaus sharply criticized a U.N. meeting on climate change on Tuesday at which U.S. President Barack Obama was among the top speakers, describing it as propagandistic and undignified.

"It was sad and it was frustrating," said Klaus, one of the world's most vocal skeptics on the topic of global warming.[...]

Klaus said there were increasing doubts in the scientific community about whether humans are causing changes in the climate or whether the changes are simply naturally occurring phenomena.

DC comic superheros to team up with muslim superheros

DC comic book superheros, Superman, Batman, and the Flash are to team up with muslim superheros the 99. So far it has not be announced what they'll battle against. Could be zionists, evil neo-cons, or negative muslim stereotypes. Your guess is as good as mine.

The 99 are a group of muslims who acquired superhuman abilities after coming in contact with mystical gems. IMO the funniest character is Batina The Hidden, who has powers of invisibility and camouflage, she is the only female character who wears a burqa. Fitting that the character who is invisible wears a burqa. The 99

Taliban May Have Faked Civilian Slaughter

“the Taliban went to a concerted effort to make it look like the U.S. airstrikes caused this.” Wired

According to the New York Times, forensic investigators are investigating the possibility that Afghan civilians were killed by grenades thrown by Taliban fighters, who then paraded the bodies around a village, claiming the dead were killed by American bombs. And Col. Greg Julian, the main U.S. military spokesman in Kabul, downplayed the total number of casualties, telling The Wall Street Journal he was “pretty sure the high numbers of casualties are not going to prove true.”

Taliban claims responsibility for N.Y. shooting spree

The shooting spree IMO is not the M.O. of the taliban or even al Qaida. Baitullah Mehsud is just putting two quranic verses into practice...."Strike terror into the hearts of the infidels" and "war is deceit". Yahoo News

"Whatever happened in America yesterday, was done by our men," Baitullah Mehsud told reporters by telephone, a claim dismissed by Pakistani security officials as rubbish. US authorities also said they had found no link to the Taliban.

AFP propagating taliban propaganda

Today the AFP published taliban propaganda. At first I couldn't read the whole article but after cooling down I went back and read the whole thing. There are some interesting tid bits of information within the article. Like the fact how Iran sheltered thousands of taliban fighters after the US invaded AFghanistan. But other than that this article seems to put a positive spin on the taliban. AFP

After years in exile following the 2001 US-led invasion of Afghanistan, this Taliban commander is back in the mountains of his birth, having left behind his old life with his family for one mission: chasing out the "infidel" Americans.[...]

In 1994 he joined the Taliban as they prepared to march on Kabul at a time when the country was engulfed in civil war between former anti-Soviet factions, the mujahideen (holy fighters).

When the extreme Islamist group finally won control of the capital in 1996, "everyone was happy to see the Taliban -- good Muslims -- put an end to the killing, the rape and the theft of the mujahideen," Shafiq says.[...]

It was in the northern mountains that he heard, over Taliban combat radio, on September 11, 2001 that planes sent by Al-Qaeda, had struck at the heart of the United States.

"That was beautiful, delicious to hear, everyone was happy," the warrior says with a smile.

40 killed in strike on UN school

Remember war is deceit and Hamas is pretty good at it. Hamas routinely fires from civilian centers, stores weapons, ammunition and terrorists in mosques, schools, and hospitals. The video below shows Hamas terrorists firing mortars from a UN school.

....
GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli tank shells killed at least 40 Palestinians on Tuesday at a U.N. school where civilians had taken shelter, medical officials said, in carnage likely to boost international calls for a halt to Israel's Gaza offensive.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said she was looking into information on the incident at al-Fakhora school in Jabalya refugee camp.

Muslim Massacre Game Creates Waves

A free computer game, called Muslim Massacre, available online has angered a lot of muslim groups in Britain. But reading the intro to the game "The United States of America has declare war on islam! Take control of the American hero and wipe out the muslim race with an arsenal of the world's most destructive weapons!" it seems like taliban/al Qaida propaganda to me. AFP

LONDON (AFP) — British Muslims condemned as deeply offensive on Friday a computer game called "Muslim Massacre," which trumpets itself as a "game of modern religious genocide."

The game, which can be downloaded for free on the Internet, urges players to "wipe out the Muslim race with an arsenal of the world's most destructive weapons."[...]

"Anti-Muslim prejudice is already on the increase and needs to be challenged and not reinforced through tasteless and offensive stunts like this."

Players in the game -- the aim of which is to "ensure that no Muslim man or woman is left alive" -- control an "American Hero" wielding a machine gun and a rocket launcher parachuted into the Middle East.
....
The Ramadhan Foundation, a British Muslim youth organisation, voiced "deep condemnation and anger" at the game, accusing it of "glorifying the killing of Muslims in the Middle East."

"Encouraging children and young people in a game to kill Muslims is unacceptable, tasteless and deeply offensive," said the Foundation's chief executive, Mohammed Shafiq.

"If it was the other way around, with a game featuring Muslims killing Israelis or Americans, there would be uproar and rightly so," he said, urging ISPs to block the site.
Actually, there are many games out there that do just that. I've never seen any muslim groups bitch about those.

A Timeline of Propaganda

A couple of days ago the International Secuirty Assistance force, ISAF, issued an unusual press release stating

having given medical assistance to injured civilians in the Sangin district of Helmand province yesterday it has received information, from a reliable source, that insurgents are planning to make a propaganda claim that international military forces have killed up to 70 civilians in the same area
Looks like the Pak Tribune picked up the taliban's propaganda claim. Only the Pak Tribune upped the civilian casualities a little bit. By about 430.
At least 500 civilians were killed or wounded during the five-day US-led troops` ground and air operation in the Sangin district of Helmand province, a member of Afghanistan`s parliament said on Sunday.
"Foreign forces have been conducting operation in Sarwan Qala area of Sangin district for the last five days in which artillery and aircraft are being used," Dad Muhammad Khan, member of Wolesi Jirga (lower house of parliament), told Afghan Islamic Press.
I guess if you'gonna lie make the lie so outragious that it's almost believable. But then again people in Pakistan are pretty gullable. I mean some of them believe you get 72 virgins if you blow yourself up.

The ISAF issued a press release today rejecting the claims...
ISAF and the U.S.-led coalition reject claims that its forces have killed 500 civilians in the Sarwan Qala area of Sangin district, Helmand, in the past week.
The claims were reported in some media outlets September 1.

ISAF can account fully for its units and aircraft, none of which were used against civilians in the Sarwan Qala area. Therefore, ISAF refutes any such claim of mass civilian casualties.
