Iraq is such a nice place to live now that the U.S. Military are gone, almost daily bombings make it one of the most unsafe places in the world to live right now.
The funny thing is, remember how all reports said the violence would stop once we leave, because we were the Problem? Yeah right, Islam is the problem.

Insurgents mounted another vicious attack against Iraq’s Shiites on Saturday, as a roadside bomb was detonated near a group of pilgrims who were marching to a mosque in the southern part of the country to mark one of their holiest holidays.
Around 8:30 a.m., the explosion ripped through a tent where pilgrims had stopped to be fed in the southern city of Basra, killing 30 people, including several police officers at a nearby checkpoint, and wounding dozens, according to local officials.
The pilgrims were marching to a mosque in the city of al-Zubair, just west of Basra, for the last day of Arbaeen, the solemn holiday at the end of the 40-day mourning period for the death of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. Most Shiites typically make pilgrimages to the city of Karbala, where Imam Hussein ibn Ali is buried. But those who do not have the stamina or time to march to Karbala make a shorter trip to the Khatwa mosque, a Shiite holy site in al-Zubair.
During the past 10 days, insurgents have unleashed a string of attacks on Shiites as they have made pilgrimages leading up to Arbaeen in an apparent attempt to stir sectarian violence amid a month long political crisis that has roiled tensions between the country’s Shiite and Sunni politicians.

Afghan police say 18 civilians, including children, died when their minibus ran over a roadside bomb in southern Helmand province.
Deputy provincial chief Kamaluddin Sherzai says the explosion took place Friday morning in Nahri Sarraj district.
He says insurgents fired at police who responded to the explosion but that there were no casualties among the policemen...
U.N.'s midyear report says the number of Afghan civilians killed in war-related violence has risen by 15 percent in the first half of 2011. Roadside bomb explosions were to blame for at last 440 of the 1,462 civilian deaths by violence.

KABUL: Twenty Afghan civilians including women and children were killed inhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif a volatile southwestern province Thursday when a landmine exploded under a bus they were travelling in, police said.
“An IED (improvised explosive device) struck a bus, 20 civilians were killed,” said senior police figure Haji Mosa Rasooli, accusing the Taliban of being responsible for the blast.
The Islamist militants, who have been waging a near decade long insurgency against the Afghan government and foreign forces, were not immediately available for comment.
The blast occurred in the remote Nimroz province at around 4:00pm (1130 GMT) in the region’s Khash Rod district on the main highway to Kandahar, the de facto capital of southern Afghanistan.
The incident came on the same day as a father, a mother and their four children were killed in southern Afghanistan when a roadside bomb ripped through their car.
The family were travelling to Lashkar Gah, the main town in Helmand province, when they were killed, provincial spokesman Daud Ahmadi said.

At least 10 road workers have been killed and 28 injured in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar when their truck hit a roadside bomb, hospital officials say.
No group has said it carried out the attack. Last week gunmen shot dead 35 highway workers in Paktia province.
Road workers are frequently targeted by Taliban militants.
The Taliban recently declared a "spring offensive" of attacks. This is the fourth attack in as many days.
The labourers, who worked for a local construction firm called Nisa, were on their way to work when the blast went off in rural Panjwayi district of Kandahar province.
According to the health director of Kandahar, Abdul Qayum Khan, 18 of the 28 injured are in critical condition.

(Reuters) - Twelve civilians were killed by a roadside bomb in an increasingly volatile area of southeastern Afghanistan on Sunday, a provincial governor said.
Two women and five children were among those killed in the blast, which took place in Waza Khwa district of Paktika province, the province's governor, Mohebullah Sameem, said.
"The people were coming from Pakistan when their car was hit by a roadside bomb," Sameem said.
