Web Protests Piracy Bills, and Senators Change Course

“better to get this done right rather than fast and wrong. Stealing content is theft, plain and simple, but concerns about unintended damage to the Internet and innovation in the tech sector require a more thoughtful balance, which will take more time.”

How about just leaving the internet Alone!

Or at least leave it to people who know what they are doing instead of rejects that have their heads up their ass's and can't even manage Money!

New York Times
Online protests on Wednesday quickly cut into Congressional support for anti-Web piracy measures as lawmakers abandoned and rethought their backing for legislation that pitted new media interests against some of the most powerful old-line commercial interests in Washington.

A freshman senator, Marco Rubio of Florida, a rising Republican star, was first out of the starting gate Wednesday morning with his announcement that he would no longer back anti-Internet piracy legislation he had co-sponsored. Senator John Cornyn, the Texas Republican who heads the campaign operation for his party, quickly followed suit and urged Congress take more time to study the measure that had been set for a test vote next week.

Mr. Cornyn posted on his Facebook page that it was “better to get this done right rather than fast and wrong. Stealing content is theft, plain and simple, but concerns about unintended damage to the Internet and innovation in the tech sector require a more thoughtful balance, which will take more time.”

A.J Eric Holder Pulls the Race Card;Sorta

"Protecting the right to vote, ensuring meaningful access, and combating discrimination must be viewed, not only as a legal issue - but as a moral imperative," Holder said. "Ensuring that every eligible citizen has the right to vote must become our common cause."

Uh, how do you know if they are eligible citizens Dumbass?

This is such bullshit, it allows anyone from any country to cast a vote in our elections, all you have to say is; why yes I am an American citizen.

What ever happened to being a responsible adult?
If you drive, legally you have to have a drivers license.
so what is the difference in casting a vote?

Playing the Poor me Race card is a tragic way to start off the whole election season, now their will be disenfranchised voters everywhere that do not agree with results of any voting that does not go with their ideals.

(Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, appearing at a Martin Luther King holiday rally in South Carolina, warned on Monday that voting rights laws are still at risk and said aggressive enforcement of those laws is "a moral imperative."

Weeks after his Justice Department blocked a South Carolina voter identification law it said would make it harder for tens of thousands of voters, mostly minorities, to cast a ballot, Holder said the principle of electoral equality was still endangered.

"The reality is that - in jurisdictions across the country - both overt and subtle forms of discrimination remain all too common," Holder, who is black, told hundreds of people attending an annual rally to honor King, the slain civil rights leader, on the steps of the South Carolina state capitol.

"Protecting the right to vote, ensuring meaningful access, and combating discrimination must be viewed, not only as a legal issue - but as a moral imperative," Holder said. "Ensuring that every eligible citizen has the right to vote must become our common cause."

Al-Qaida in Yemen captures town south of capital

Such a scenario could turn Yemen into something akin to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, a sanctuary for militants from the world over where they could plot high-profile terror attacks against the United States and its allies.

Well at least we will be able to stomp a lot of Al Qaida douchebags in one place if we need too.

CBSnews
A band of al-Qaida militants took full control on Monday of a town 100 miles south of the Yemeni capital Sanaa, overrunning army positions, storming the local prison and freeing at least 150 inmates.

The capture of the town of Radda expanded already significant territorial conquests by the militants, who have taken advantage of the weak central government and political turmoil roiling the nation for the past year during an anti-regime uprising inspired by Arab Spring revolts.

Authoritarian President Ali Abdullah Saleh recently agreed to step down after months of resisting the protests against his 33-year rule. But he remains a powerful force within the country and a spark for ongoing unrest.

Pakistan Taliban leader reported dead in U.S. strike

Hakimullah Mehsud may be dead! Maybe not dead?

We can only hope, we have heard of his death before and been wrong about it too!

But due to the fact that the drone strikes have been on a hiatus for a few months and the fact that the administration had said that they would still have a strike if the right piece of shit popped up!

Hakimullah is a big POS!

USA Today
Intercepted militant radio communications indicate the leader of the Pakistani Taliban may have been killed in a recent U.S. drone strike, Pakistani intelligence officials said Sunday. A Taliban official denied that.

The report coincided with sectarian violence — a bomb blast in eastern Pakistan that killed 14 people in a Shiite religious procession.
The claim that the Pakistani Taliban chief was killed came from officials who said they intercepted a number of Taliban radio conversations. In about a half a dozen intercepts, the militants discussed whether their chief, Hakimullah Mehsud, was killed on Jan. 12 in the North Waziristan tribal area. Some militants confirmed Mehsud was dead, and one criticized others for talking about the issue over the radio.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to reporters.
Pakistani Taliban spokesman Asimullah Mehsud denied the group's leader was killed and said he was not in the area where the drone strike occurred.

Roadside Bomb Kills Dozens in Southern Iraq

Another day another holy Shiite bombing.

Iraq is such a nice place to live now that the U.S. Military are gone, almost daily bombings make it one of the most unsafe places in the world to live right now.

The funny thing is, remember how all reports said the violence would stop once we leave, because we were the Problem? Yeah right, Islam is the problem.

Islam the religion of ethnic and religious genocide against its own people!

The New York Times
Insurgents mounted another vicious attack against Iraq’s Shiites on Saturday, as a roadside bomb was detonated near a group of pilgrims who were marching to a mosque in the southern part of the country to mark one of their holiest holidays.
Around 8:30 a.m., the explosion ripped through a tent where pilgrims had stopped to be fed in the southern city of Basra, killing 30 people, including several police officers at a nearby checkpoint, and wounding dozens, according to local officials.

The pilgrims were marching to a mosque in the city of al-Zubair, just west of Basra, for the last day of Arbaeen, the solemn holiday at the end of the 40-day mourning period for the death of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. Most Shiites typically make pilgrimages to the city of Karbala, where Imam Hussein ibn Ali is buried. But those who do not have the stamina or time to march to Karbala make a shorter trip to the Khatwa mosque, a Shiite holy site in al-Zubair.

During the past 10 days, insurgents have unleashed a string of attacks on Shiites as they have made pilgrimages leading up to Arbaeen in an apparent attempt to stir sectarian violence amid a month long political crisis that has roiled tensions between the country’s Shiite and Sunni politicians.

US marines identified in urination video likely to face court martial

This is total Bullshit!

Islamic rejects have cut of the heads of american prisoners when they have had the chance, these same type of islamic rejects that were pissed on have also been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Muslim men and women, thrown acid in the face of young girls who just want to go to school(and held them down while the acid did its job of painfully eating their skin away!

Yeah Pissing on these pieces of shit probably was not a smart thing to film, doing it: I agree with, they deserve nothing less!

But just remember Daniel Pearl, I don't know how many of you have seen the Video of his beheading: it was life changing, the sounds of the poor man drowning in his own blood as his head was slowly sawed off will ever haunt me!

So yeah, Islamic fuckwads like the the Taliban and Al Qaida deserve nothing more from our men in Uniform, If it were me I would have pooped on them too!

Guardian.co.uk
Four US marines identified by the military as the soldiers filmed urinating on corpses in Afghanistan are likely to face a court martial after an American military commander said such actions are a "grave breach" of the laws of war.

The Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) has interviewed two of the soldiers featured in the video laughing and making snide remarks as they urinated on the bloodied bodies of three Afghan men, who have not been identified. It is not clear if the men were members of the Taliban.

In attempt to dampen the growing diplomatic storm around the abuse, the commanders of US forces in Afghanistan on Friday ordered American troops to treat the bodies of killed enemies and civilians with "appropriate dignity and respect".

Nigeria sect leader defends killings in video

"Christians, everyone knows what they have done to us and Muslims ... we were attacked and we decided to defend ourselves and, because we were on the right path, Allah has made us stronger,"

Oh it just gets old hearing this you know.

The radical Islamists in the world are just hell bent on having a full blown religious war with the rest of the world.

(Reuters) - The leader of Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram said recent killings of Christians were justifiable revenge attacks and President Goodluck Jonathan had no power to stop the group's insurgency, in the first video of him posted online.

The 15 minute video of Abubakar Shekau posted on YouTube is similar in style to messages submitted by other Islamist groups like al Qaeda, a sign of the growing influence other jihadist movements are having on the sect.

Boko Haram, whose name translates from the northern Hausa language as "Western education is sinful", has been behind almost daily killings in its home base in the largely Muslim northeast, most recently targeting Christians.

"Christians, everyone knows what they have done to us and Muslims ... we were attacked and we decided to defend ourselves and, because we were on the right path, Allah has made us stronger," Shekau says in Hausa, sat in front of two Kalashnikov rifles and wearing a camouflage bullet proof jacket.

"Jonathan, (you) know full well that this thing is beyond your powers," he added, referring to the president.

US Denies Role in Iranian Nuclear Scientist's Death

Nothing like sounding a little guilty.

VOA
The United States has denied any role in Wednesday's killing of an Iranian nuclear scientist in Tehran.

After the State Department initially declined to respond to Iranian charges that the U.S. or Israel was responsible for Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan's assassination, the White House said the United States "had absolutely nothing to do" with the blast that killed Roshan. White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said the U.S. strongly condemns the attack and all acts of violence.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeated the White House denial of any U.S. involvement in the scientist's killing. "I want to categorically deny any United States involvement in any kind of act of violence inside Iran," she said.

Iran enriching uranium at new lab

Well Duh!

I don't think the question is if they are gearing towards a bomb anymore, it looks almost obvious.
I think the new question is, are we ready for a true Nuclear Islam?
Yes Pakistan has nukes, but compared to Iran, most of Pakistan is not a Nuclear threat!
But Iran, just a bit; you know.

USA Today
Iran has begun uranium enrichment at a new underground site built to withstand possible airstrikes, a leading hard-line newspaper reported Sunday in another show of defiance against Western pressure to rein in Tehran's nuclear program.

The operations at the bunker-like facility south of Tehran, reported by the Kayhan daily newspaper, are small in comparison to Iran's main enrichment site. But the centrifuges at the underground labs are considered more efficient and are shielded from aerial surveillance and protected against airstrikes by up to 300 feet (90 meters) of mountain rock.

Uranium enrichment is at the core of the international standoff over Iran's nuclear program. The U.S. and its allies fear Iran could use its enrichment facilities to develop high-grade nuclear material for warheads.

Dozens killed in Damascus explosion

While the regime squarely blames the opposition movement for the violence, opposition leaders have voiced skepticism, suggesting the government itself may have staged the deadly attacks two weeks ago in an effort to paint the anti-government groups as terrorists.

So who is it then?
Who is killing the people of Syria, Assad or a terrorist group; maybe the protesters themselves.
Either way, Muslims are killing Muslims at an alarming rate these days, not surprising given their religion; between Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, and not to leave out the countless other Islamic countries that have their problems, the worlds population is getting smaller.

Islam, the religion of murderous population control.

CBSnews
Syrian officials blamed a "terrorist suicide bomber" for an explosion Friday which appeared to target a bus full of police in central Damascus, causing deaths.

State TV reported the blast in the central Damascus neighborhood of Midan killed at least 25 people and wounded more than 50 others, with "most" of the casualties being civilians...

While the regime squarely blames the opposition movement for the violence, opposition leaders have voiced skepticism, suggesting the government itself may have staged the deadly attacks two weeks ago in an effort to paint the anti-government groups as terrorists.

Echoing that sentiment on Friday, the Syrian Revolution Coordinating Committees - an umbrella organization representing opposition groups - said the Assad regime was behind the attack in Midan.

Bombs targeting Shiites kill at least 72 in Iraq

Iraq is working on its new future...

One of death and destruction and of course attempting Genocide.

Washington post
A suicide bomber blew himself up next to a large group of Shiite Muslims on a pilgrimage Thursday, one in a series of apparently coordinated sectarian attacks that killed at least 72 people in southern Iraq and in Baghdad.

Security officials said the bombings in two Shiite districts of Baghdad and near Nasiriyah, about 200 miles southeast of the capital, also injured at least 147 people. It was the highest one-day death toll since U.S. troops withdrew from Iraq last month and appeared to be deadliest single day of violence in the country in more than a year.

The bombings coincided with a political stand-off between Shiite and Sunni leaders that continued into its third week. A majority of the Sunni-supported political bloc Iraqiya boycotted parliamentary proceedings Thursday. And while Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a Shiite, gave another conciliatory speech stressing harmony, his critics said that behind the scenes Maliki is trying to dissolve a political framework established under U.S. guidance that was designed to share power among Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

How Iran hacked super-secret CIA stealth drone

O.K. the U.S. knows about a flaw in the security of the Drones we fly around the world (even here) yet the idiots in charge do nothing!

Iran, takes advantage of this by jamming the system on board a RQ-170 drone and basically taking control of it!

Nice goin idiots, what a way to make the U.S. look stupid with technology; by being fucking lazy!

RT
More damage is being dished out to the US intelligence community as sources in Iran admit to hacking the CIA’s lost drone and bringing it down with not much more than computer navigating know-how.
Engineers with the Iranian military are admitting to the Christian Science Monitor that the dramatic disappearance of a multi-million dollar stealth drone aircraft suffered by the United States two weeks ago was indeed a result of their own doing, claiming now that they managed to hijack the system inside the craft with ease and bring it to a safe landing without incident.
The United States originally denied they lost a drone over Iran before changing their story and insisting that they lost contact with the craft during a surveillance mission over neighboring Afghanistan. Iranian officials quickly corrected Americans by displaying footage of the spy-plane and revealing that it was apprehended over 100 miles from the country’s border with Afghanistan.
RT has reported throughout the ordeal that the downing of the drone could have resulted from a budding cyber war between American and Iranian intelligence. Now officials overseas are insisting that they did indeed hack the craft to quietly bring it down.
Speaking to the CSM, an engineer responsible for the interception speaking on condition of anonymity says that technicians managed to hack into the craft’s GPS navigation, which the official describes as “weak.”

Now You See It, Now You Don't: Time Cloak Created

Awesome, it may only be for a fraction of a second but it is still very cool stuff.

Foxnews
It's one thing to make an object invisible, like Harry Potter's mythical cloak. But scientists have made an entire event impossible to see. They have invented a time masker.
Think of it as an art heist that takes place before your eyes and surveillance cameras. You don't see the thief strolling into the museum, taking the painting down or walking away, but he did. It's not just that the thief is invisible -- his whole activity is.

What scientists at Cornell University did was on a much smaller scale, both in terms of events and time. It happened so quickly that it's not even a blink of an eye. Their time cloak lasts an incredibly tiny fraction of a fraction of a second. They hid an event for 40 trillionths of a second, according to a study appearing in Thursday's edition of the journal Nature.

We see events happening as light from them reaches our eyes. Usually it's a continuous flow of light. In the new research, however, scientists were able to interrupt that flow for just an instant.

Other newly created invisibility cloaks fashioned by scientists move the light beams away in the traditional three dimensions. The Cornell team alters not where the light flows but how fast it moves, changing in the dimension of time, not space.

Al Qaeda, Taliban Call on Pakistani Militants to Join Clashes in Afghanistan

So who the hell has the U.S. been talking to?

And why the hell is the Obummer administration toying with the idea of releasing Taliban commanders and other Taliban rejects from Gitmo?

Some more Islamic Appeasement from the dipshits in charge I guess.

Foxnews
Prominent Al Qaeda and Afghan Taliban fighters asked Pakistani militants in a pair of rare meetings to set aside their differences and step up support for the battle against U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, militant commanders said Monday.

The meetings were held in Pakistan's tribal region in November and December at the request of the Afghan Taliban's leadership council. They could indicate the militants are struggling in Afghanistan, or conversely, that they want to make sure they hit U.S. forces hard as the Americans accelerate their withdrawal this year. That could give the Taliban additional leverage in any peace negotiations.

"For God's sake, forget all your differences and give us fighters to boost the battle against America in Afghanistan," senior Al Qaedacommander Abu Yahya al-Libi told Pakistani fighters at a meeting on Dec. 11, according to a militant who attended.

Hundreds of Muslims have fought with armed police who demolished a newly-built mosque in north-west China Friday, according to reports.

The Information Centre for Human Rights and Democracy, based in Hong Kong, said two people were killed and more than 50 injured in the disturbances in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The violence between local Muslims and roughly 1,000 armed officers began after police declared a newly built mosque to be illegal, and moved in to demolish it.

The rights group said police fired tear gas and used knives and batons to beat back ethnic Hui Muslim protesters in Taoshan village, Hexi township.

Iran produced its first nuclear fuel rod, state-run news agencies reported, as the country offered to restart talks with the West on its atomic program.
The domestically made rod was inserted into the core of Tehran’s atomic research reactor after performance tests, the Iranian Students News Agency reported, citing the country’s atomic energy agency. The Tehran reactor produces radioisotopes for cancer treatment, according to Mehr news agency. Nuclear fuel rods contain pellets of enriched uranium that provide fuel for nuclear power plants.

Some members of the Occupy Wall Street group in Charlotte, N.C., are under fire for setting American flags ablaze, but one of the protesters is defending his incendiary actions.
"Those were actions taken on my behalf," Occupy Charlotte member Alex Tyler said at a camp meeting, according to a Charlotte Observer report. "I did it to display my utter contempt for American greed, not (the military)."
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged Tyler and three other men with arson and setting fire to woods in the area of tents that previously housed members of the local Occupy movement. A police report says the men caused the fire by burning two American flags.

"I've seen this group lose its activism and become lazy," Tyler said, adding that he and the other men wanted to "give Occupy Charlotte a wake-up call."
