$103 000 for blogging about living on Hamilton Island, sailing, snorkling, feeding some fish and collecting mail. Sounds a million times better then blogging about shoveling my driveway of snow two times a day. Fuck it I'm applying, hopefully by February I'll be blogging about how horrible it is spending the day on the beach in Hamilton Island. BBCTourism officials in Australia are describing it as "the best job in the world".
They want someone to work on a tropical island off the Queensland coast.
No formal qualifications are needed but candidates must be willing to swim, snorkel, dive and sail.
In return, the successful applicant will receive a salary of A$150,000 ($103,000, £69,000) for six months and get to live rent-free in a three-bedroom villa, complete with pool.

Australian MP: Ban topless beaches to protect muslims
An Australian MP, Fred Nile, wants to ban topless bathing in order to protect muslims. Mr. Nile stated that topless bathing risked "raising the ire of Muslim men". So that means he has received no complaints and is just acting in dhimmi fashion. The Sydney Morning HeraldConservative MP Fred Nile says he wants topless bathing banned in NSW to protect Sydney's Muslim and Asian communities.
The Reverend Nile has rejected allegations that prudishness is behind a bill he has prepared to ban nudity, including topless sunbathing, on the state's most popular beaches.[...]
"Our beaches should be a place where no one is offended, whether it's their religious or cultural views," he said.
"If they've come from a Middle Eastern or Asian country where women never go topless - in fact they usually wear a lot of clothing - I think it's important to respect all the different cultures that make up Australia."
The practice was at risk of raising the ire of Muslim men in particular, Mr Nile said.
