Iran using Chinese high tech trucks to counter protests

No wonder China does not endorse sanctions to the Mullahcracy. China is one of Iran's largest trading partners.
Wired

“it appears that they will be used in the suppression of people’s protests today.” Suppression may be a bit of an understatement since the armored vehicles are apparently “equipped with water cannons that can douse people with boiling water or teargas.”

One Iranian opposition site reports that the vehicles “have a capacity of 10,000 liters to shoot cold and hot water, and three 100 liter tanks to shoot burning chemical liquids” at a distance of up to 70 meters. Manufactured by Dalian Eagle-Sky Co., the vehicles cost an estimated $650,000. The site also said that “a lot of extra burning liquid, paint, and tear gas was purchased” in addition to the vehicles.

Clashes reported as Iran marks Revolution Day

Ahmadinejad told a vast, flag-waving crowd of government supporters that Iran was now able to enrich uranium to more than 80 percent purity, coming close to levels experts say would be needed for a nuclear bomb, although he again denied it had any such intention.

Nothing happening in Iran today , Ahmadinejad says so !
He also says they have enriched Uranium to 80% , something I find a little strange seeing as how before Tuesday they supposedly could barely enrich it to 20% , that is quite a jump in technology in a couple of days ! .
Move along people , nothing to see here , no Bombs ( Yet ) , no protests ( Yeah right ) and also No more Google E mail ! everything is just fine !

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian opposition websites said security forces clashed with protesters and arrested at least 30 as huge crowds flocked to central Tehran on Thursday to mark the 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

Official media made no mention of clashes or arrests and state television said "tens of millions of people" attended rallies in support of the revolution across the country of 70 million.

The Islamic state is facing its worst domestic crisis in three decades as opposition supporters have rallied round the reformists who lost to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a disputed election last June.

Ahmadinejad told a vast, flag-waving crowd of government supporters that Iran was now able to enrich uranium to more than 80 percent purity, coming close to levels experts say would be needed for a nuclear bomb, although he again denied it had any such intention.

"The Iranian nation is brave enough that if one day we wanted to build nuclear bombs we would announce it publicly without being afraid of you," Ahmadinejad said, addressing Iran's Western enemies.

But he told the crowd in Azadi (Freedom) Square: "When we say that we don't build nuclear bombs, it means that we won't do that because we don't believe in having it."

Iran's police vow no tolerance towards protesters

"Police will act firmly to defend the society's security and those who break the law will be dealt with severely,"

Sounds like the Pro reform movement in Iran is being told to mind their P's and Q's for next Thursday !

If 8 Deaths was just a little pushing and shoving , How many will it be for "Dealt with severely ?

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian police will show no more tolerance toward anti-government protesters, the force's chief was quoted as saying on Saturday, in a warning to the opposition before possible new demonstrations next week.

Iran has been rocked by street unrest since its disputed presidential election last June. Internet messages have circulated about new protests on February 11, when Iran marks the 31st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Supporters of the pro-reform opposition have used such official occasions to stage new rallies in recent months, despite many arrests in a continuing crackdown by authorities.

Opposition leaders Mirhossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi have called on supporters to attend next week's rally. An opposition website, Jaras, on Saturday said a youth group backing Mousavi also urged people to take part.

Government officials have rejected opposition charges that the June vote was rigged to secure the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They portrayed the election protests as a Western-backed bid to undermine the Islamic establishment.

"Now that the different dimensions of the sedition are clear, we won't show any more tolerance," police chief Esmail Ahmadi-Moghaddam said, the ILNA news agency reported.

"Police will act firmly to defend the society's security and those who break the law will be dealt with severely," he said.

He said hundreds of people were arrested in connection with protests that erupted on Ashura -- a ritual Shi'ite day of mourning that fell on December 27 -- with the help of tip-offs from the public after police published photographs of them. He said more such photographs of demonstrators would be issued soon.

Eight people were killed in clashes between security forces and opposition supporters on that day, in the most serious violence since the aftermath of the June 12 disputed election.

Moghaddam also reiterated a warning against the use of emails and phone text messages to spread the word of new protests, making clear police were monitoring such means of communication.

"The new technologies allow us to identify conspirators and those who are violating the law, without having to control all people individually," he said.

Iran executes two over election unrest: agency

The two were among 11 people sentenced to death on charges including moharebeh (waging war against God)

WTF ? Protesting an Iranian Presidential election is now considered "Waging War against God " .

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran executed two people on Thursday over widespread street unrest that erupted after the Islamic Republic's disputed presidential election in June, an Iranian news agency reported.

The two were among 11 people sentenced to death on charges including moharebeh (waging war against God), trying to overthrow the Islamic establishment and membership of armed groups, the ISNA students agency said.

The executions were the first carried out for election-related incidents and may further increase tension in Iran ahead of possible new anti-government protests next month.

Several killed, 300 arrested in Tehran protests

Police did not fire any shots in Tehran, "and security forces were not in possession of firearms," Rajabzadeh told the semi-official news agency ISNA.

So they beat them to Death !

....
Tehran, Iran (CNN) -- Several people were killed and more than 300 were arrested in anti-government protests in Tehran, Iran, on Sunday, Iran's Deputy Police Chief Ahmad Reza Radan said on state television station IRINN.

The toll was the result of clashes that broke out between demonstrators and security forces as large crowds gathered for Ashura, a major religious observance.

Four people were reported killed in the fighting, according to Iranian state-run Press TV. A French government statement put the number of fatalities at eight. With tight restrictions on international media, CNN could not independently verify the casualties.

The reformist Web site Parlemannews reported that one of the victims Sunday was Saeed Ali Mousavi, nephew of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi. Press TV reported that the younger Mousavi was not a victim of Sunday's clashes.

Tehran Police Chief Azizollah Rajabzadeh denied any protesters were killed by security forces.

Police did not fire any shots in Tehran, "and security forces were not in possession of firearms," Rajabzadeh told the semi-official news agency ISNA.

But here you have the usual Iranian B.S , Shooting live rounds ( At least no reports of anyone killed this time ,So far )beating everyone and Arresting others !
What a nice place to live !

....
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian security forces fired warning shots in Tehran on Monday and beat opposition protesters among thousands seeking to renew their challenge to the government six months after a disputed election, witnesses said.

The security forces fired shots into the air as they clashed with supporters of opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi at a state rally marking the killing of three students under the former Shah, the reformist website Mowjcamp said.

"Security forces are beating demonstrators, men and women. Some of them are injured and bleeding," said one witness in Tehran's central Haft-e Tir square.

The June 12 presidential election, which secured President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's re-election, sparked Iran's worst unrest since the Islamic revolution three decades ago and exposed deep divisions in the establishment. Authorities deny allegations of vote-rigging.

Journalists working for foreign media were told by officials not to leave their offices to cover stories from Monday until Wednesday, but witnesses told Reuters hundreds of riot police battled protesters in various Tehran squares to disperse them.

"Some people who took part in illegal gatherings on Monday have been arrested by police," said Tehran general prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi, the semi-official Fars new agency reported. "They are being interrogated."

He did not specify how many people had been arrested.

Witnesses said some of the Tehran protesters chanted "death to the dictator".

Iranian doctor witness to Mullahcracy tortures dies from poisoned salad

An Iranian doctor who witnessed the atrocities against the Iran protesters has died of a drug overdose. A hypertension drug, propranolol, was found in his system and traces of it were found in a salad served to the doctor. The mullahcracy has given conflicting reports of the doctor's death. First saying it was a car accident then saying it was suicide.

The Doctor's father doesn't believe it was suicide and several Iranian blogs are stating that the mullahs had the doctor killed because he knew too much. Yahoo! News

H/T: GM

CAIRO, Egypt - A doctor who blew the whistle on the torture of jailed protesters in Iran died of poisoning from an overdose of an anti-hypertension drug in his salad, prosecutors say, fueling opposition fears that he was killed because of what he knew about the abuse.[...]

The 26-year-old doctor, Ramin Pourandarjani, died on Nov. 10 in mysterious circumstances - with authorities initially saying he was in a car accident, had a heart attack or committed suicide.

Pourandarjani was a doctor at Kahrizak, a prison on Tehran's outskirts where hundreds of opposition protesters were taken after being arrested in the crackdown following June's disputed presidential elections. The facility became so notorious that it was ordered shut down by Iran's supreme leader as reports of abuse and torture became an embarassment to the clerical rulers and security forces.

Pourandarjani later testified to a parliamentary committee and reportedly told them that one young protester he treated died from heavy torture.

Five sentenced to death over Iran vote unrest

No trial ? Death sentences , what a shock !
No Human rights violations here ...Move along !

....
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Five people have been sentenced to death and 81 have received jail terms of up to 15 years in connection with unrest after Iran's disputed election in June, state broadcaster IRIB reported on Tuesday.

Citing a statement by the public relations office of Tehran's provincial court listing verdicts issued so far over post-vote incidents, it said those sentenced to death were affiliated to or members of "counter-revolutionary groups."

The same court said last month that death sentences had been handed down against three people over the street unrest and links to exiled opposition organizations.

It was not immediately clear if the five cited in Tuesday's statement were the same as those reported by an Iranian rights group earlier this week to have been sentenced to death.

The IRIB report did not name any of the accused nor say when the sentences were handed down.

Iran Creates Special Unit to Go After Opposition on Internet

"That police monitor Web sites and impose restrictions is nothing new. Authorities know that Internet is the one of few available channels for the opposition to make its voice heard," he said. "They want to silence opposition voices."

Silence ? That really sums it up well !

....Foxnews
TEHRAN, Iran — Iran has formed a special unit to monitor Web sites and fight Internet crimes, in a clear attack on an opposition that relies almost exclusively on online means to broadcast its message, local newspapers reported Saturday.

Police Col. Mehrdad Omidi, who heads the Internet crime unit, said the committee will fight "insults and the spreading of lies," terms widely used by the judiciary to describe opposition activities.

"Given the spread of Internet use, police must confront crimes taking place in the Web atmosphere," he said. "A special committee has been set up to monitor the Internet and deal with crimes ... such as fraud, ... insults and the spreading of lies."

Omidi specifically said the 12-member unit will intervene in "political matters on the Internet should there be an illegal act." The official said the unit will operate under the direction of the prosecution office.

Iranian authorities have banned most Web sites linked to Iran's opposition or those containing articles supporting the reform movement. The opposition has continued to set up new Web sites within days of the old ones being blocked.

The opposition has no access to state media and has been promoting its message largely through the Internet.

US mosques and New York skyscraper seized over Iran links

in an extraordinary step likely to worsen relations between Washington and Tehran.

So what ! Should we sit idly by and watch these meatbags Disolve our country bit by bit ? No , I did not think so !
At this point in time , If every Mosque Within the United States , is Not under investigation , Then I would consider that A major Problem !
Given the Recent situations Involving "Radical Muslims " how could you think otherwise ? A shooting of an Imam In Detroit , A Major in the army has sudden Jihad syndrome and kills 13 of his supposed Fellow Army personnel , And then there is Cair , Do we need to say more ?

Well how about this !

....Gaurdian,uk
Federal investigators moved to seize four mosques in the US and a skyscraper in Manhattan yesterday over their alleged financial aid to Iran, in an extraordinary step likely to worsen relations between Washington and Tehran.

Prosecutors in Manhattan filed a civil complaint in the federal court seeking the forfeiture of more than $500m in assets of the Alavi Foundation, which describes itself as a charitable foundation, and a company, Assa.

The mosques are in New York City, Maryland, California and Texas.

Prosecutors claim that the foundation and the company have been engaged in money laundering, with the cash sent back to Tehran.

The move could be designed to punish the Tehran government at time when its relations with the US are already strained over Iran's alleged nuclear weapons programme.

But the Obama administration also risks incurring the anger of American Muslims if the mosques, all Shia, are seized. The takeover of mosques would also raise constitutional questions around the right of freedom to religion.

"Again Who cares ? I would hope they would get pissed off , maybe they will wake up and see what the radical fringe of Islam Have done with their Cult ! I mean Religion !
As for the right to freedom of Religion ! That does not count when it involves terrorists and illegal Activities does it ? "

The move comes at a sensitive time, with a debate under way in the US over the loyalty of American Muslims after the shooting at Fort Hood last week. Major Nadil Malik Hasan was yesterday charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder.

" And rightfully so "

The Alavi Foundation, on its website, declares its mission to be the promotion of charitable and philanthropic causes through educational, religious and cultural programmes.

"The foundation does this by making contributions to not-for-profit organisations within the United States that support interfaith harmony and promote Islamic culture and Persian language, literature and civilisation," it says.

" Yeah , all to push the Muslim agenda in the United States ! "

P.S.
If you have not read "Stealth Jihad " by Robert Spencer , Now would be the Time !

Senior Revolutionary Guard Commander Calls for Mousavi's Arrest

"If Mousavi, Khatami ... and Karroubi are the main elements of a velvet coup in Iran, which they are, it is expected that judicial bodies and intelligence officials go to them to put out the fire of sedition, arrest, try and punish them,"

You mean Execute ?

Fox News
TEHRAN, Iran — A senior commander of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard on Sunday called for the arrest and trial of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, his ally former President Mohammad Khatami and another reformist who ran for president, Mahdi Karroubi.

Yadollah Javani said the three men have led what he called a "velvet coup" aimed at toppling Iran's clerical rulers.

"If Mousavi, Khatami ... and Karroubi are the main elements of a velvet coup in Iran, which they are, it is expected that judicial bodies and intelligence officials go to them to put out the fire of sedition, arrest, try and punish them," he was quoted as saying by the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

Pro-Mousavi Iranians chant "death to the dictator"

Old news , nothing may come of this round of protests , It is amusing that it is still going on !
Just wait till the Next elections !

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Hundreds of supporters of Iranian opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi chanted "death to the dictator" in Tehran on Thursday, a witness said, a day after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was sworn in as president.

The renewed protests come despite a heavy police presence and the mass trial of some 100 leading reformers accused of fomenting the unrest that has continued for eight weeks since disputed June 12 polls returned hard-liner Ahmadinejad to office.

"Hundreds of people are in Vanak square, chanting 'death to the dictator'. Others are also honking car horns," said the witness. "Hundreds of riot police are there as well."

The witness said riot police tried to disperse protesters.

"They are telling protesters to leave the area or face being arrested," the witness said.

Iran hard-liners warn Ahmadinejad he could be deposed

Man would this be great to see ! Ahmadinejad ,tossed out on his monkey ass .

THE L.A.Times
eporting from Beirut -- Political hard-liners warned President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday that he could be deposed like past Iranian leaders if he continued to defy the country's supreme religious leader.

The implied threat was the latest evidence of the rift within Iran's conservative camp and could serve to further sap the authority of a president already considered illegitimate by reformists.
The Islamic Society of Engineers, a political group close to parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani, warned in an open letter to Ahmadinejad that he could suffer the same fate as Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh, who was deposed in 1953 in a CIA-backed coup with the acquiescence of the clergy.
The letter also cites the experience of President Abolhassan Bani-Sadr, who was ousted in 1981 and fled the country after he fell out with the Islamic Republic's founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Both leaders had been elected by huge margins.

"It seems you want to be the sole speaker and do not want to hear other voices," the group's letter says, noting that recent actions by Ahmadinejad have frustrated his own supporters. "Therefore it is our duty to convey to you the voice of the people."

Reports of Prison Abuse and Deaths Anger Iranians

It makes me proud to be an American when I read something like this ! When You Realize that No matter what you can find wrong here , You can find it a Thousand times worse elsewhere ! Usually from a country that likes to call us The evil empire ,or the great Satan ! Or from a country where some big Government Militia pussy with a gun can shoot an innocent woman in the neck , killing her in front of many People ! ( for no reason !)

NY Times
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Some prisoners say they watched fellow detainees being beaten to death by guards, in overcrowded, stinking holding pens. Others said they had their fingernails ripped off, or were forced to lick filthy toilet bowls.

The stories of prison abuse in Iran’s post-election crackdown — relayed by relatives and on opposition Web sites — have provoked growing outrage among Iranians, including some prominent conservatives. More bruised corpses have been returned to families in recent days, and some hospital officials told human rights workers they have seen evidence that well over 100 protesters have been killed since the elections.

On Tuesday, the government released 140 prisoners, in one of several conciliatory gestures aimed at deflecting further criticism. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a letter urging the head of the judiciary to show “Islamic mercy” to the detainees, and on Monday Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, personally intervened and closed an especially notorious detention center.

Iran Security Forces Move to Crush Renewed Protests

Iranian protesters at it again ! And the Iranian police are right there to meet them !

New york times
CAIRO — Thousands of Iranians poured into the streets of Tehran on Thursday, clapping, chanting, almost mocking the authorities as they once again turned out in large numbers in defiance of the government’s threat to crush their protests with violence.
As tear gas canisters cracked and hissed in the middle of crowds, and baton-wielding police officers chased up and down sidewalks, young people, some bloodied, ran for cover, and there was an almost festive feeling on the streets of Tehran, witnesses reported.

A young woman, her clothing covered in blood, ran up Kagar Street, paused for a minute and said, “I am not scared because we are in this together.”

The protesters lighted trash on fire in the street, and shopkeepers locked their gates, then let demonstrators in to escape the wrath of the police. Hotels also served as safe havens, letting in protesters and locking out the authorities. It has been almost four weeks since the polls closed and the government announced that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won re-election in a landslide.
