Nigeria sect leader defends killings in video

"Christians, everyone knows what they have done to us and Muslims ... we were attacked and we decided to defend ourselves and, because we were on the right path, Allah has made us stronger,"

Oh it just gets old hearing this you know.

The radical Islamists in the world are just hell bent on having a full blown religious war with the rest of the world.

(Reuters) - The leader of Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram said recent killings of Christians were justifiable revenge attacks and President Goodluck Jonathan had no power to stop the group's insurgency, in the first video of him posted online.

The 15 minute video of Abubakar Shekau posted on YouTube is similar in style to messages submitted by other Islamist groups like al Qaeda, a sign of the growing influence other jihadist movements are having on the sect.

Boko Haram, whose name translates from the northern Hausa language as "Western education is sinful", has been behind almost daily killings in its home base in the largely Muslim northeast, most recently targeting Christians.

"Christians, everyone knows what they have done to us and Muslims ... we were attacked and we decided to defend ourselves and, because we were on the right path, Allah has made us stronger," Shekau says in Hausa, sat in front of two Kalashnikov rifles and wearing a camouflage bullet proof jacket.

"Jonathan, (you) know full well that this thing is beyond your powers," he added, referring to the president.

The embassy said it had received reports the sect would bomb Transcorp Hilton, Sheraton and NICON Luxury hotels which draw diplomats, politicians and Nigeria's business elite daily.

The embassy said the attack may come as Nigeria celebrates the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha and that its diplomats and staff had been instructed to avoid those hotels.

Death Toll In Wave of Killings By Nigerian Islamists Tops 100

So the Peaceful Muslims in Nigeria showed those extremely violent Christians what Peaceful Islam is all about...

Tolerance, Murder, Peace, More murder...

Islam the Religion of Murdering psychopaths !

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
In Nigeria, more than 100 people are thought to have been killed in a wave of gun and bomb attacks claimed by radical Islamists.

A rescue agency official at the morgue in Damaturu, Nigeria, says he personally counted more than 150 bodies before relatives of victims began to take bodies away for burial.

An AFP correspondent there counted 97 corpses still in the mortuary today.

The attacks in northeastern Nigeria have been claimed by the Boko Haram sect, which rejects Western ideals and wants to establish Shari'a law across Nigeria.

The militants on November 4 bombed churches and police stations in a mainly Christian neighborhood of Damaturu. They also fought gun battles with police.

Nigerian bombers blame U.N. for 'oppression' of Muslims

Yeah the Org that pretty much will not do or say anything against Muslims even when they are like you know, Al Qaida, is now oppressing Muslims!

Islam the Religion of Feckin Idiots.

CNN

The Nigerian Islamic militant group Boko Haram says it bombed U.N. offices in Abuja last week because the world body is a partner "in the oppression of believers," a spokesman for the group said Wednesday.

Friday's car bombing killed 23 people and wounded more than 80. Boko Haram, which aims to impose a strict version of Islamic law in Nigeria, claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a brief telephone interview arranged by an intermediary, Boko Haram spokesman Abul Qaqa said a 27-year-old Nigerian named Mohammed Abul Barra drove the explosives-packed Honda Accord into the U.N. building.

"All over the world, the U.N. is a global partner in the oppression of believers," Qaqa said. "We are at war against infidels. In Nigeria, the federal government tries to perpetuate the agenda of the United Nations."

BBC
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria—Suspected members of an Islamic sect bombed three beer gardens in northeastern Nigeria, killing 25 people and wounding 12 others on Sunday, authorities said.

Police blamed the attack on a group known locally as Boko Haram, which earlier this month carried out an attack on the nation's police headquarters.

Authorities said two men riding on a back of motorcycles threw bombs at beer gardens, which are popular nightspots for locals...

Northeast Borno state, where the Sunday blast happened, is one of a dozen states that have embraced Islamic Shariah law. However, outdoor beer gardens hidden from public view remain popular nightspots.

Thousands of people have fled their homes in northern Nigeria after riots prompted by the election of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

In some towns residents slept in police stations for safety. The Red Cross says there have been significant numbers of casualties.

Mr Jonathan appealed for an end to the violence and imposed a 24-hour curfew.

His main rival Gen Muhammadu Buhari, a northerner, told the BBC the violence was sad, unwarranted and criminal.

Some of the rioters have been alleging ballot-rigging, but the former military leader said he wanted to disassociated himself and his party from the clashes.

Buildings burn, death toll mounts in central Nigeria

Never hear anything about Nigeria in the news, Christians and Muslims have been taking turns killing each other for months on end.

(Reuters) - Youths dragged people from their cars and murdered them at illegal roadblocks in central Nigeria over the weekend, while rioters burned fuel stations and homes in the latest clashes between Christian and Muslim gangs.

Youths from the mostly Christian Berom ethnic group set up the roadblocks on Saturday at Gada Biu, on the edge of the city of Jos, stopping vehicles and pulling out people they believed to be Muslims, witnesses said.

One witness, who asked not to be named, said he had counted 15 bodies, although the security forces could not confirm this.

The latest burst of violence in Plateau state, where an estimated 200 people have been killed in ethnic and religious clashes over the past month, was triggered when Muslim youths attended a burial ceremony near a Christian village on Friday.

Soldiers opened fire to try to quell fighting that ensued between rival mobs of students.

"The situation was aggravated when the soldiers attempted to repel them into the campus. In the process, many students sustained various degrees of injuries," Plateau State Information Commissioner Gregory Yenlong said.

Reports on Saturday that some of the students had died in hospital triggered rioting, with youths setting up the roadblocks and protesters burning two fuel stations, a college and vehicles in the Farin Gada area of Jos, police said.

Troops patrol Nigerian city after deadly attacks

Another more eye opening look at how Muslims celebrate Christmas.

Some real decent Savages.

AFP
JOS, Nigeria — Nigerian soldiers patrolled the streets of the central city of Jos on Sunday after a series of Christmas Eve bomb blasts that killed dozens in attacks the army chief has labelled terrorism.

Authorities have sought to keep the violence from spreading in the region, which has been previously hit by sectarian clashes that have left hundreds dead this year and which officials say have been fueled by politics.

At least 32 people were killed and 74 wounded when seven explosions went off in two different areas of Jos on Friday evening, with many of the victims doing their Christmas shopping at the time. A church was also targeted, the state governor has said.

On the same night, suspected members of an Islamist sect that launched an uprising last year attacked three churches in northern Nigeria, leaving six people dead and one of the churches burnt.

There was no immediate indication the incidents in the vast country's north and central regions were linked.

(Reuters) - Car bomb explosions killed eight people and injured three near a parade in Nigeria's capital on Friday marking the 50th anniversary of independence, police said.

Two blasts, which also destroyed three cars, came an hour after the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Nigeria's biggest rebel militia, warned it had planted several bombs and told people to evacuate the area.

A Reuters cameraman said security forces and firemen in the capital, Abuja, had been dousing a fire in a car after the first explosion when a second blast hit, about 1 km (half a mile) from the parade ground where hundreds of Nigerian and foreign dignitaries sat.

"Two car bombs exploded and eight people are confirmed dead," Abuja police spokesman Jimoh Moshood told Reuters.

Nigerian machete-wielding attackers kill 8 people

Although the clashes take place between Muslims and Christians, observers say the underlying causes are economic and political.

Oh No , Muslims don't attack Christians for any other reason .

I know when I don't have any money the first thing I do is run out with My Machette and start hacking up people at the local Mosque !

What A Joke !

BBC
At least eight people have been killed in an attack by machete-wielding assailants near the city of Jos in Nigeria.

The unidentified attackers descended on a village on the outskirts of Jos, burning about 10 houses, early on Saturday, officials said.

Some reports said the dead included the family of a Christian priest.

Clashes between rival communities - Hausa Muslims and Berom Christians - have left hundreds dead this year.

Witnesses said the men attacked the family of Rev Nuhu Dawat in the village of Mazah, 12km (7 miles) from the state capital of Jos, killing his wife, two children and a grandson.

The priest ran for his life, later telling Reuters news agency: "I leave everything to God to judge."

Plateau State Police Commissioner Gregory Anyating told Reuters the authorities were trying to find out "the root causes of the violence", but it had not spread to other villages.

Deadly riots in 2001, 2008 and 2010 left hundreds of people dead.

Although the clashes take place between Muslims and Christians, observers say the underlying causes are economic and political.

Nigeria urged to end impunity after village massacre

You can put as much Lipstick on this as you want , And it will still Be a religious rooted Problem !
The Root of the Problem , Muslims vs Christians .
Muslims hate everyone unlike them ! And think they are superior !
Christians , While they supposedly do not hate , are extremely Arrogant and believe they are superior Also .
So What to do ? Both sides being at fault here , do to Plain Ignorance , HOW do you stop this ?
You don't , 1400 or so years of religious fighting is Obviously not going to be stopped over night !
unless one side decides to Give in and leave , we are left with the fact that because of two different Interpretations of a supposed God , we will see this fight go on forever ! No amount of money you inject to reduce poverty will ever stop this !

It is in the Breeding .

(Reuters) - Nigeria must prosecute those behind a weekend massacre and address underlying issues of poverty and discrimination if it is to end a cycle of violence in the zone between its Muslim north and Christian south, rights groups and diplomats said.

The United Nations, United States, Human Rights Watch and opposition politicians all urged the authorities to ensure those responsible face justice after attacks on Sunday on three Christian villages in which hundreds are feared to have died.

Residents of Dogo Nahawa, Zot and Ratsat, about 15 km (9 miles) south of the central city of Jos, buried dozens of bodies including those of women and children in a mass grave on Monday following the attacks, which they blamed on Muslim herders.

The raids were in apparent retaliation for four days of violence around Jos, the capital of Plateau state, in January which killed several hundred people, many of them in an attack on the mostly Muslim settlement of Kuru Karama.

"Better security is clearly vital but it would be a mistake to paint this purely as sectarian or ethnic violence, and to treat it solely as a security issue," U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said.

"What is most needed is a concerted effort to tackle the underlying causes of the repeated outbreaks of ethnic and religious violence which Nigeria has witnessed in recent years, namely discrimination, poverty and disputes over land."

500 butchered in Nigeria killing fields

Below is a very Grizzly Account and description of the so called Muslim Rampage in Nigeria yesterday !
It is down right disgusting what Muslims will do in the Name of Islam , Lopping off an infants head while yelling Allahu Akbar ! God is Great .
The Jackass's that wielded machetes to decapitate children and women deserve nothing more than having their ass's beat to within an inch of their lives and then fed to the Pigs !
It is for reasons like this that you hear the call to Eradicate Islam from the face of the Earth !

Timesonline
On the dusty streets of three Christian villages in northern Nigeria, dozens of bodies lined the streets yesterday. Other victims of the weekend’s Muslim fury jammed a local morgue, the limbs of slaughtered children tangled in a grotesque mess.

One toddler appeared fixed in the protective but hopeless embrace of an older child, possibly his brother. Another had been scalped. Most had severed hands and feet.

Officials estimate that 500 people were massacred in night-time raids by rampaging Muslim gangs near the city of Jos, where the Christian-Muslim fault line cuts across Nigeria.

Local journalists and civil rights organisations who toured the area yesterday told The Times they had counted at least 200 victims shot and hacked to death in apparent revenge for sectarian violence in January that claimed about 300 lives from the two communities. Mark Lipdo, a co-ordinator for the Stefanos Foundation, a Christian aid group, confirmed at least 93 dead in one village. “But there are corpses charred beyond recognition,” he said.

Survivors claimed that Muslim inhabitants of the targeted villages of Zot, Dogo Nahawa and Rastat had received telephone calls two days before the attack telling them to leave the area.

Witnesses said gangs waited at main entry points to the villages while others went from house to house, setting the homes on fire.

Those who fled were killed at the exit points. Others were slaughtered after being caught in animal traps and nets as they ran in the dark.

Ben Kwashi, Anglican Archbishop of Jos, said he visited one of three villages engulfed by the violence. “I could see kids from age zero to teenagers, all butchered from the back, macheted in their necks, their heads. Deep cuts in the mouths of babies. The stench. People wailing and crying,” he said.

Nigeria’s Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, a southerner, ordered troops into the riot-affected area “to confront and defeat these roving bands of killers”, he said in a statement. Last night he sacked Sarki Mukhtar, the national security adviser, a powerful figure in the inner circle of the ailing President, Umaru Yar’Adua.

Villagers said army assistance came too late. Christian youths accused the military of complicity in the killings.

Survivors told The Times that entire families were killed, some to the chants of Allahu Akbar — God is Greatest. They said villagers awoke to shouting and gunfire at about 3am on Sunday.

“They then set homes on fire and attacked men, women and children. Many were decapitated,” said Theresa Malinowska, press officer for Christian Solidarity Worldwide. Staff counted the bodies of four babies and 28 children under 5 in one location alone.

Up to 300 feared dead in central Nigeria clashes

Hausa-Fulani herders from surrounding hills attacked at about 3 a.m. (10 p.m. EST), shooting into the air before cutting those who came out of their homes with machetes.

Some extreme antics from the religion of Peace !

Women and Children chopped up with Machetes , not a nice way to go , Ultimately what this shows is that Muslims are truly Savages no matter where you go ! this could have happened in any country where there is a large Muslim poppulation .
It does not take much to insight a group of Muslim radicals into a Killing frenzy , just the thought of a Christian in the vicinity of Muslim territory Pushes these animals over the Edge !

(Reuters) - Nigeria's acting president Sunday ordered the security forces to hunt down those behind clashes involving Muslim herders and Christian villagers in which more than 300 people may have been killed.

The latest unrest in Nigeria's central Plateau state comes at a difficult time, with acting leader Goodluck Jonathan trying to assert his authority while ailing President Umaru Yar'Adua remains too sick to govern the oil-producing nation.

Villagers in Dogo Nahawa, just south of the state capital Jos, said Hausa-Fulani herders from surrounding hills attacked at about 3 a.m. (10 p.m. EST), shooting into the air before cutting those who came out of their homes with machetes.

A Red Cross official said at least two other nearby communities were also targeted, in an area close to where sectarian clashes killed hundreds of people in January, but that it was too early to give an overall death toll.

A Reuters witness counted more than 120 bodies -- most lying in Dogo Nahawa, others taken to mortuaries in Jos -- but Plateau State Commissioner for Information Gregory Yenlong said more than 300 people, including women and children, had died.

Jonathan put the security forces on red alert to try to prevent reprisal attacks spreading into neighboring states.

"Reports reaching us indicated marauding bands launched a flurry of attacks on certain communities in the state, causing considerable death and injury," Jonathan's office said.

"The Acting President ... has directed that the security services undertake strategic initiatives to confront and defeat these roving bands of killers," it said in a statement.

Some of the bodies seen by the Reuters witness -- including those of women and children -- were charred, others had machete wounds across their faces. Aid workers said some had been shot.

"The shooting was just meant to bring people from their houses and then when people came out they started cutting them with machetes," said Dogo Nahawa resident Peter Jang, women crying behind him.

Nigeria fighters call off ceasefire

Sounds like a threat to me , But who will go after them ?
In another situation involving "Terrorists" , Nigeria will sit by and wait for them to follow through on their threat !

Al Jazeera
Nigeria's main armed group has called off a three-month-old ceasefire in the Niger delta and threatened to unleash "an all-out assault" on Africa's biggest oil and gas industry.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend), responsible for years of attacks on oil facilities, said on Saturday it could no longer trust the government to negotiate demands for greater control of the region's natural resources.

The threat comes as Umaru Yar'Adua, Nigeria's president, has been out of the country receiving medical treatment for more than two months.

His absence has raised fears of a constitutional and political crisis in the country.

"It is sufficiently clear at this point in time the government of Nigeria has no intentions of considering the demands made by this group for the control of the resources and land," Mend said in a statement.

"All companies related to the oil industry in the Niger delta should prepare for an all-out onslaught against their installations and personnel."

Bodies pulled from wells after Nigeria clashes

What insanity .
Ethnic Issues turned these people into Nothing more than a Pack of Rabid Dogs!

JOS, Nigeria (Reuters) - Mosque and government officials have pulled more bodies from wells and sewage pits in a village near the Nigerian city of Jos, victims of what Human Rights Watch said appeared to have been a targeted massacre.

Four days of clashes between Christian and Muslim mobs armed with guns, knives and machetes killed hundreds of people in Jos and surrounding communities this week before Vice President Goodluck Jonathan deployed the military to contain the violence.

Muhammad Tanko Shittu, a senior mosque official organizing mass burials in Jos, told Reuters on Saturday he had just returned from Kuru Jantar, a village also known as Kuru Karama or Kuru Gada Biu, where more than 200 bodies had been found.

"So many bodies were dumped into wells and were littered around, others were being evacuated by the federal authorities," he said. Both Shittu and Red Cross officials said they were still counting bodies and could not yet give an overall toll.

Some estimates have put the death toll at more than 400, although official figures have been much lower.

U.S.-based Human Rights Watch said groups of armed men attacked the mostly Muslim population of Kuru Karama on January 19, burning some alive and killing others as they tried to flee. It urged Jonathan to order an investigation of "credible reports of a massacre of at least 150 Muslim residents."

"They were armed with cutlasses, guns, sticks and bags of stone. It was not the Christians from our community but those from outside who came," one 32-year-old resident of Kuru Karama, who was not named, told Human Rights Watch.

"The children were running helter-skelter. The men were trying to protect the women. People who ran into the bush were killed. Some were burned in the mosque and some went to the houses and were burned," he said.

He said he had seen the bodies of 20-30 children, some burned, some sliced with machetes, and that his wife was in hospital with an 11-month-old girl who had been cut with an axe.

"I came back on Wednesday evening escorted by the military. I saw dead bodies everywhere. The corpses were there, but now you can just see the blood on the ground. None of the houses are standing," he said.

What can you Do ?

Over 150 dead in clashes in Nigerian city

It wasn't but a couple of weeks ago that The people in Nigeria were saying that they were " Not Like This " , as in not violent and racist and motivated by radicalism !
The Pantybomber , brought on these ramblings from the " Government " Of Nigeria .
But here we have Muslims fighting Christians because of their religious beliefs and where they want to rebuild their Houses !
Islam = Insanity . When will Muslims be Happy ?

JOS, Nigeria (Reuters) - More than 150 Nigerians have been killed and dozens injured in three days of clashes between Muslim and Christian gangs in the central city of Jos, where police imposed a 24-hour curfew, residents said.

The governor of Plateau state on Tuesday sent extra security forces to the state capital to prevent a repetition of clashes in November 2008, when hundreds of residents were killed in the country's worst sectarian fighting in years.

"On Sunday evening we buried 19 corpses, and 52 yesterday. As of right now, there are 80 at the mosque yet to be buried," said Muhammad Tanko Shittu, a worker organizing mass burials at the city's main mosque, adding 90 people had been injured.

But official police figures were significantly lower with 20 people dead, 40 injured and 168 arrested since Sunday.

"Any other figures being bandied by people could be done with mischief aimed at aggravating the situation," said Yemi Ajayi, spokesman for the national police in the capital Abuja.

This week's violence erupted after an argument between Muslim and Christian neighbors over the rebuilding of homes destroyed in the 2008 clashes.

Remember that 1/7/10 "shocker" report on the Pantybomber?

If you will recall the only shock to come out of the report was Obama semi-shouldering the blame before he turned around and blamed the intelligence community. Other than that, it all ended up being a dud.

Well, as it turns out that's because the Obama administration apparently covered up redacted all the juicy bits involving the administration's laissez faire attitude towards Islamic terror.

From The New York Times:

Mr. Obama this month presented his government’s findings on how the plot went undetected. But a detailed review of the episode by The New York Times, including more than two dozen interviews with White House and American intelligence officials and with counterterrorism officials in Europe and Yemen, shows that there were far more warning signs than the administration has acknowledged.

The officials also cited lapses and misjudgments that were not disclosed in the declassified government report released Jan. 7 about what went wrong inside the nation’s counterterrorism network.

Several high level meetings were held in the White House on December 22 to discuss the escalating threats and the multiple sources of intelligence pointing to threats from the Arabian peninsula. Among them:

A warning from the UN Nations that a similar device used in a prior attack in Saudi Arabia could be smuggled onto airplanes.

Multiple phone intercepts mentioning a 'significant event' on Christmas day.

A phone intercept identifying Umar Farouk as a volunteer for a coming operation.

More phone intercepts from al Qaeda in Yemen looking for ways to get people into the west.

An al Jazeera televised warning from an al Qaeda fighter in Yemen on the actual date of the WH meetings.

And most telling of all:

Counterterrorism officials assumed that the militants were not sophisticated or ambitious enough to send operatives into the United States. And no one shifted more intelligence analysts to the task, so that they could have supported the military assaults by Yemen while also scrutinizing all incoming tips for hints about future attacks against Americans, one administration official said.

So, though intelligence analysts had enough information in those days before Christmas to block the suicide bomber on the Northwest flight, they did not act.

In my opinion this wasn't so much a failure of intelligence or imagination as it was a failure of INTEREST on the part of the Obama administration officials.

Exhibit A

"We have agreements with a number of different countries that work with us cooperatively on intelligence matters," says the State Department employee. "A number of the treaties work through our justice departments or foreign offices or intelligence and interior or homeland security agencies. Several departments here in Washington got the information from London and it didn't trigger anything within our own system.

This employee says that despite statements from the Obama Administration, such information was flagged and given higher priority during the Bush Administration, but that since the changeover "we are encouraged to not create the appearance that we are profiling or targeting Muslims. I think career employees were uncomfortable with the Bush procedures and policies and were relieved to not have to live under them any longer."

Shocking indeed.
