Howard Gordon, the executive producer of the hit show 24, has retracted his endorsement of the Obsession DVD. His statement was released by CAIR, the Council of American Islamic relations. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trail.
Sigh...why do I get this feeling that next season is going to disappoint. Market Watch WASHINGTON, Oct 05, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group announced today that Howard Gordon, the executive producer of Fox's drama "24," has withdrawn his endorsement of the anti-Muslim film "Obsession" currently being distributed to some 28 million households in presidential election swing states by a shadowy non-profit organization called the Clarion Fund.
....
The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) [editor's note: the article places negative adjectives in front of Obsession and the Clarion Fund, but says nothing of CAIR's ties to islamic terrorism.] released a statement by Gordon in which he said:
"After being contacted by a number of people whose opinions I respect and after reviewing Obsession with their criticisms and concerns in mind, I have asked the film makers to remove my endorsement from the Obsession website and from any future promotional materials. While I remain committed to the film's essential message -- that the hate-mongering promoted by radical Islamism presents a real threat to western values of tolerance and pluralism -- I also appreciate that the goal of co-existence and tolerance is not being served by films like Obsession."

Obsession DVD could Incite Acts of Hatred
You know whats more likely to incite acts of hatred? The quran and hadith. Orlando Sentinel
....
A DVD advertisement about radical Islam inserted into dozens of newspapers including the Orlando Sentinel has some local Muslim groups worried the video could incite acts of hatred.
"It really promotes the current hysteria surrounding Muslims. And it's really reminiscent of the hysteria of the Cold War and McCarthyism," said Hazem Bata, head of the Orlando office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. [unindicted co-conspirator in the defunct Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development trial]
The DVD draws parallels between Nazism and radical Islam and is being distributed as an advertising supplement in about 70 newspapers including several in Florida. It was inserted into the Sentinel on Sunday. It also is being mailed to an unspecified number of households.
