Pretty funny how a Major Newspaper , Ban's a word used in peoples everyday life .
Sounds like somebody is a little jealous !
Foxnews
The New York Times writers were warned not to use the word "tweet," Sky News reported Friday.
As the use of Twitter continues to grow, words like "tweet" and "twittering" have increasingly cropped into everyday use.
But editor of The New York Times, Phil Corbett, said it was unacceptable.
He sent a memo to writers Wednesday telling them not to use the T-word, which he called "inherently silly."
"Some social-media fans may disagree, but outside of ornithological contexts, 'tweet' has not yet achieved the status of standard English," Corbett said in the memo, obtained by website The Awl. "And standard English is what we should use in news articles."
"Except for special effect, we try to avoid colloquialisms, neologisms and jargon. And 'tweet' — as a noun or a verb, referring to messages on Twitter — is all three."
The word tweet appeared 18 times in article in The New York Times in the past month, which prompted Corbett to put his foot down.

Mum's the Word,... Van Who ?
Nice to Know that the Supposed "Real" News people , Never Caught on to this !
Or , more likely they refused to run a story against anything the Obamasiah is doing ! or better yet against one of the Obamamaggots ! ( An Appointed Czar )
Just pitifully , pathetic !
Fox News....
The resignation of President Obama's green jobs "czar," Van Jones, might have come as a shock if you do not watch cable news. In fact, the "big three" evening news casts and two of the nation's most-prominent newspapers barely covered the story.
There was no mention of Jones by CBS, NBC, ABC, The Washington Post or The New York Times on Wednesday — the night Jones' first issued an apology for past statements.
The same was true on Thursday, although a Washington Post blog picked up the story. That night Jones again apologized for a slew of old remarks and the signing of that petition that alleged the Bush administration was behind the 9/11 attacks.
ABC and NBC failed to cover the story on Friday, although CBS finally did.
There was no mention from the "big three" evening newscasts or The Times print edition Saturday. But The New York Times blog finally addressed the story as did the print edition of the Post.
And on Sunday — the morning after Jones' middle-of-the-night resignation — it was too late for the papers, but the three evening newscasts filed reports.
The New York Times print edition finally ran its first mention of the story on Monday, on the lower-half of the front page.

Indian editor and publisher arrested for insulting muslims
How did Ravindra Kumar and Anand Sinha insult muslims? By publishing an article by Johann Hari, titled Why should I respect these oppressive religions?.
The article states how the organization of the islamic conference, OIC, has pushed through the UN a bill based on shariah law to silence criticism of religions (specifically islam). Johann wrote one paragraph highlighting how islamic countries treat their women, children and dissidents. Then there's the offending statement.
I don't respect the idea that we should follow a "Prophet" who at the age of 53 had sex with a nine-year old girl, and ordered the murder of whole villages of Jews because they wouldn't follow him.
The above statement is true and yet this offended muslims in India. When are we going to see muslims burn the quran and hadiths for pointing out things that apparently offend them? Straits TimesRavindra Kumar, editor of the Kolkata-based Statesman, and Anand Sinha were arrested and later bailed on Wednesday after a local Muslim leader complained about the piece, which was first published in Britain's Independent newspaper.
The article by columnist Johann Hari was entitled 'Why should I respect these oppressive religions?' and contained allegations about Mohammed's life and his treatment of Jews.
On Wednesday about 1,000 Muslims burned copies of The Statesman, one of India's oldest English-language newspapers, outside its Kolkata head office in protest.
Kumar and Sinha have been charged with 'committing a deliberate act with malicious intent to outrage religious feelings.'

Catholic newspaper faces ban for writing "Allah"
Although I can't on understand why a Catholic newspaper would use "allah" to describe God, its even more insane to ban it for using the word in the first place.

TelegraphA Catholic newspaper in Malaysia is facing a ban for using the word "Allah" to describe the Christian god.
Unless the government changes its mind, the Herald Catholic Weekly has only two weeks left to run before its licence expires at the end of the year.
The deputy home minister Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said: "Until December 31 we are not going to announce anything. There is plenty of time till then. Let them wait." [...]
"The Catholic Herald's 'Allah' is seen as a threat to national security," said Father Lawrence Andrew, editor of the Herald.
