U.S. Worsens Mexican Violence by Returning Criminal Aliens to Border Cities, Mayors Say

I guess the Rampant poverty , shity living conditions , and total disrespect for any Laws in your own country Have nothing to do with it ?

Foxnews
A coalition of Mexican mayors has asked the United States to stop deporting illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes in the U.S. to Mexican border cities, saying the deportations are contributing to Mexican border violence.

The request was made at a recent San Diego conference in which the mayors of four Mexican border cities and one U.S. mayor, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, gathered to discuss cross-border issues.

Ciudad Juarez Mayor Jose Reyes blamed U.S. deportation policy for contributing to his city's violence, saying that of the 80,000 people deported to Juarez in the past three years, 28,000 had U.S. criminal records -- including 7,000 convicted rapists and 2,000 convicted murderers.

Those criminal deportees, he said, have contributed to the violence in Juarez, which has reported more than 2,200 murders this year. Reyes and the other Mexican mayors said that when the U.S. deports criminals back to Mexico, it should fly them to their hometowns, not just bus them to the border.

Cambodia to deport Uighurs despite persecution fears

As much as everyone does not like it , China has it's laws and rules .
you take your chance when you decide to break them !

....
PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - Cambodia plans to deport at least 20 Muslim Uighurs who fled China after deadly ethnic violence this year, a government official said on Saturday, despite concerns they will face persecution by Beijing.

The Uighurs, a Turkic Muslim ethnic group involved in rioting in western China that killed nearly 200 people in July, were smuggled into Cambodia in recent weeks and applied for asylum at the United Nations refugee agency office in Phnom Penh.

"The Cambodian government is implementing its immigration law. They came to Cambodia illegally without any passports or visas, so we consider them illegal immigrants," said Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman Koy Kuong.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry had no immediate comment in response to the announcement, an official in Beijing said.

Human rights groups say they fear for the lives of the Uighurs if they are deported to China.

"Cambodia will be sending these Uighurs to a terrible fate,

possible execution and likely torture," said Amy Reger, a researcher at the Washington-based Uighur American Association.

She cited the case of Shaheer Ali, a Uighur political activist who fled to Nepal in 2000 and was granted refugee status by the United Nations. He was forcibly returned to China from Nepal in 2002 and executed a year later according to state media.

British court rules Muslim cleric, Abu Qatada, can be deported

Abu Qatada can be deported but will he? Abu Qatada's lawyers said they will appeal the deportation order at the European Court of Human Rights. Considering the same court just awarded Abu Qatada around $5000 for wrongful detention after 9/11, what do you think Abu Qatada's chances of deportation are now? International Herald Tribune

LONDON: A Palestinian-born cleric described by British security officials as "a significant international terrorist" lost the latest round in a seven-year battle to remain in Britain as a refugee Wednesday when the highest court in Britain ruled that he could be deported to Jordan, where he was convicted in absentia in a terrorist bombing and a bomb plot in the late 1990s.

After a five-judge panel of the Law Lords - judges in the House of Lords who sit as the highest court of appeal - unanimously approved his deportation, Home Secretary Jacqui Smith immediately signed an order for the deportation of the 48-year-old Islamic preacher known as Abu Qatada, who is being held in a special unit for Muslim militants at the Longlartin jail about 100 miles, or 160 kilometers, west of London.

The cleric's lawyers said that they would appeal the decision to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, a step likely to halt any move to deport the cleric for weeks, and possibly months.
