Saudi Prince Backs Moving Planned NYC Mosque

Awesome, a few more of these guys and the Mosque will definitely be moved.

I like how the Saudi prince is a Mosque supporter, but has not offered up any cash.

Foxnews
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates-- A Saudi prince who has aided the imam spearheading a proposed Islamic center near New York's ground zero is appealing for another site not associated with the "wound" of the Sept. 11 attacks, a report said Thursday.

In interview excerpts published by the Dubai-based Arabian Business magazine, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was quoted as saying that moving the planned mosque and other facilities would respect the memory of those killed in the 2001 attacks and allow American Muslims to choose a more suitable location.

The comments are reportedly the prince's first public views on the dispute, which has stirred street protests and fiery debates between religious and political leaders over America's freedom of worship versus the lingering anger over the 9/11 attacks.

Prince Alwaleed's Kingdom Foundation has contributed to the group run by New York's Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, but said he has given no funds to the planned center.

Muslims in NYC Planning to Build Second, Smaller Mosque Near Ground Zero

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."

We can raise our own Flags too !

Foxnews
As controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.

The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."

One source said he believed the planners are considering a five-story building on 23 Park Place, closer to Ground Zero than the 13-story mosque the Cordoba Initiative is planning to build. But a tax record search shows that 23 Park Place is in private hands and has not changed owners since 2008.

Unlike the massive $100 million Cordoba House mosque, the Masjid Mosque is small – and it is no stranger to the neighborhood. Since 1970 it had been located at 12 Warren Street, about four blocks north of the World Trade Center, in a neat but nondescript industrial space that once housed a printing shop. It lost its lease in 2008 when the building was sold, and it was evicted from its second-floor prayer space on May 25 of that year. Since then it has been operating out a cramped basement space in a nearby building at 20 Warren Street.

Army spy plane picked up Faisal Shahzad's phone calls

It seems like an Army spy plane that was circling above New York City was able to eaves drop on Faisal Shahzad's phone calls. They intercepted his call to Emeriates Airlines and quickly dispatched the FBI to JFK airport to apprehend him. Wired

Investigators were able to track wannabe terrorist Faisal Shahzad through his anonymous, pre-paid cell phone — exactly how, they won’t say. But there was a tantalizing explanation posted — and then quickly yanked — from the website of WCBS TV. “In the end, it was secret Army intelligence planes that did him in. Armed with his cell phone number, they circled the skies over the New York area, intercepting a call to Emirates Airlines reservations, before scrambling to catch him at John F. Kennedy International Airport.”

Jeremy Scahill, relying on a source in U.S. Special Operations, says those planes were likely RC-12s, equipped with a Guardrail Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) system. The planes are designed to pluck all kinds of communications from the air. But from the ground, they could easily be mistaken for an executive aircraft. The RC-12 is based on the Hawker-Beechcraft King Air B200 suit-carrier. And while earlier versions of the aircraft were covered in odd-looking antennas, the latest aircraft are far less conspicuous.[...]

It sucks up everything. We’ve got these things in Jalalabad [Afghanistan]. We routinely fly these things over Khandahar. When I say everything, I mean BlueTooth would be effected, even the wave length that PlayStation controllers are on. They suck up everything. That’s the point,” Scahill’s source tells him.

Cabbie drives 240 miles to return $21,000

A heart warming story but what the hell is an elderly lady doing with $21,000 in cash? Daily Mail

When an Italian grandmother accidentally left $21,000 (£13,000) cash in the back of a New York taxi, police said she should not get her hopes up.

Felicia Lettieri thought she had ruined her family's Christmas and her visit to America when she lost the money on December 24.[...]

But cab driver Mukul Asaduzzaman had other ideas after he discovered an address in Mrs Lettieri's handbag.

The 28-year-old thought nothing of driving 60 miles to a house in the Long Island town of Patchogue.

When he discovered that no-one was home, Asaduzzaman left his mobile phone number and a note that said: 'Don't worry, Felicia... I'll keep it safe.'

Met preemptively bows to islamic terrorism and pulls muhammed paintings

New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art has preemptively pulled 3 ancient paintings of muhammed out of fear of offending the easily offended muslims.

We here at Report on Arrakis are not afraid to post pictures of muhammed.

Fatwa?

NY Post

The Metropolitan Museum of Art quietly pulled images of the Prophet Mohammed from its Islamic collection and may not include them in a renovated exhibition area slated to open in 2011, The Post has learned.

The museum said the controversial images -- objected to by conservative Muslims who say their religion forbids images of their holy founder -- were "under review."[...]

"This is typical of the Met -- trying to avoid any controversy," said a source with inside knowledge of the museum.

Security for Khalid Sheik Mohammed's NYC trail to cost over $200 million per year

Why don't we just pump a couple of $0.25 5.56mm bullets into this guy? It'll save a lot of money and grief. NY Daily News

Security for the federal trial of self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and four accused cohorts will run $200 million a year, sources told the Daily News.

The NYPD's newly revised projection is almost triple the estimate of $75 million in November, after Attorney General Eric Holder announced he would move the prisoners from Guantanamo to Manhattan for trial.[...]

At a news conference Monday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) demanded the federal government pay every penny of the security costs.

Our long, national nightmare begins. Gitmo terrorist asks judge to dismiss his case.

Ahmed khalffan ghailala What right does this terrorist have to our constitutional protections? ---->

From the NYT:

Lawyers for a terrorism suspect once held at Guantánamo Bay who is now facing prosecution in Manhattan asked a judge on Tuesday to dismiss his case on the ground that his nearly five years in detention denied him his constitutional right to a speedy trial.

The terrorism suspect, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani was captured in Pakistan in 2004, held for two years in secret prisons run by the C.I.A., and then moved in 2006 to the naval base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. During his detention, he says, he was subjected to cruel interrogation techniques and denied a lawyer.

Although Mr. Ghailani faces charges stemming from a terrorist act that predated the Sept. 11 attacks, his speedy trial motion could foreshadow issues that could arise in the prosecution of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the professed organizer of the 9/11 plot, and four other Guantánamo detainees who were recently ordered sent to New York for trial.

We respectfully submit that this case presents possibly the most unique and egregious example of a speedy trial violation in American jurisprudence to date,” Mr. Ghailani’s lawyers said in a motion that was heavily censored because of its reliance on classified information.

The motion was originally filed several weeks ago with Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, but it was kept almost entirely under seal pending a review by the government. The new version, with many pages blacked out, was made public on Tuesday.

“This motion asks one primary question,” the lawyers, Peter E. Quijano, Michael K. Bachrach and Gregory Cooper, wrote. “Can national security trump an indicted defendant’s constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial? (sic) We respectfully submit that the answer is emphatically and without qualification, ‘No.’ ”

And this is reason #3987 why these scumbags should not be tried in civilian court.

Could KSM seek asylum if 'that trial thing' doesn't work out for some reason?

(You mean like a single moonbat juror holdout or maybe an anti-death penalty nut or something like that?)

That's what several US Senators want to know. Dinah would too.

From the NY Daily News

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee today are demanding to know the immigration status of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other 9/11 plotters, should they be brought to the United States to stand trial.

Their fear is that KSM and his henchmen might seek asylum under immigration laws, setting all kinds of worrisome precedents.

“As you can imagine, even if they are not ultimately eligible for relief, terrorist detainees may seek legal rights under our immigration laws or assert such rights in federal court, thereby setting a precedent that could have grave consequences for the American public,” they write in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. “These consequences should weigh heavily in any decision President Obama and the administration make about transfer of these detainees to the United States.

So, in this scenario, these characters who would be brought here to face a death penalty trial, also would ask the United States for asylum here. Uh oh. What if they can buy insurance under the Senate health reform bill? Hmmm…

The letter can be found here.

"Racial" tensions in Rochester schools.

This time it's the marauding Muslim Somalis vs. the African Americans. Last week it was 20 marauding Muslim Somalis on 1 white guy.

(There is no comment from the Diversity Council.)

From KAAL.TV:

Racial tensions are rising within the Rochester School District. The most recent incident took place this morning when a group of students erupted into a fight. According to police that fight was between a group of Somalis and African Americans. It happened in the cafeteria.

Police say no weapons were used and no one was seriously injured. School District Officials wouldn't talk to us on camera, but did issue a statement. They say they are continuing to gather information about the fight, and that “student safety is their utmost concern.”

We also talked to the Somali Community Service Organization, which says violence is a problem that needs to be addressed before it gets worse. "Everyone needs peaceful. We don't need more problems. No, we don't need to be worried our kid is going to school because they're going to get in a fight because they always know school is safe for our kids," said Andrea Bec.

Bec says the one way to make the community safe is to quote, "hold a meeting to get to the root of the problem. These are serious issues that need to be discussed in all the schools with the teachers and principals and all those and their parents so the community will do something together," said Bec.

The Diversity Council runs a program called Spark in the Rochester Public Schools. Its goal is to reduce prejudice and discrimination and foster tolerance among students. We tried calling the diversity council today, but our calls were not returned.

This latest fight comes less than a week after a racially inspired altercation broke out at Owatonna High School. Students say it was between 20 Somali students and one white student.

N.Y. Homes Raided in Terror Probe

Very little being said about this , There was something earlier about some Afghani's being involved , And their was Two apartments raided ?

Washington post
Federal and city counterterrorism agents raided homes in New York City early Monday after a man under surveillance for suspected ties to al-Qaeda met with people in Queens, federal officials said.

Rep. Peter T. King (N.Y.), the senior Republican on the Homeland Security Committee, said after receiving a briefing from federal authorities Monday afternoon that the suspect's visit this weekend triggered the raids.

"He was being watched, and concern grew as he met with a group of individuals in Queens over the weekend," King told ABC News on Monday in a report forwarded by his office. "The FBI went to court late last night for an emergency warrant to conduct the raids this morning."...

Sources briefed on the case said it was unclear how close any plot was to acquiring weapons or selecting a target, but several unspecified factors, including uncertainty over the scope of the threat, prompted the raids. Authorities said there were no arrests.

Synagogue targeted in NY plot, four charged

And this morning they say that these guys are Muslims ( surprise , surprise )  It just goes to show you that these type of people still wish to commit harm against America !
And Until Certain People in this country realize that This type of Terror is still a threat here  (Democrats ) and Start taking actions against it and the militants that spread the hate Within the U.S !

We will be subject to this from time to time !

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Four men were arrested on Wednesday in a
suspected plot to bomb a synagogue and Jewish community center in New
York City and to shoot at military planes with stinger missiles, law
enforcement officials said.

A joint release from the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern
District of New York, the FBI and the New York Police Department said
the suspects were charged with plotting to detonate explosives near a
synagogue in the Riverdale section of New York's Bronx borough.

The men were also charged with plotting to shoot military planes
located at New York's Air National Guard base at Stewart airport in
Newburgh, New York, with stinger surface-to-air guided missiles, the
statement said. Newburgh is about 60 miles north of New York City.

"The defendants wanted to engage in terrorist attacks. They selected
targets and sought the weapons necessary to carry out their plans," Lev
Dassin, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York,
said in the statement.

The four men, identified as James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta
Williams and Laguerre Payen, were arrested after buying an inactive
missile and inert explosives in a sting operation run by the FBI and
other agencies, the complaint said.

"While the bombs these terrorists attempted to plant tonight were --
unbeknownst to them -- fake, this latest attempt to attack our freedoms
shows that the homeland security threats against New York City are
sadly all too real," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a
separate statement.
