So some in Washington (Democrats) are worried about what is going to happen in Afghanistan in 2014 when we supposedly will pull out our troops, and what is going to happen with the 320 Million Dollars a month that they receive.
That's nice, so we will have to watch more money go down the drain beyond 2014, you can not trust a bunch of radical Islamists that are in power to handle the money properly.
I just wish that the Democrats could be worried about what is happening here for a change, instead of sending crotch shots to people through twitter, and denying that there is even a problem with the U.S. economy.
BBC
Afghanistan faces a financial crisis when foreign troops leave in 2014, Democrats on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee have warned.
The two year study by the committee's Democratic majority is to be released on Wednesday.
It urges President Obama to make better use of the roughly $320m a month in foreign aid it spends in Afghanistan, with a focus on sustainability.
It concludes that misspent foreign aid can result in corruption.
It can also alter markets and undercut the ability of the Afghan government to control its resources.
"Afghanistan could suffer a severe economic depression when foreign troops leave in 2014 unless the proper planning begins now," the report says.

Koran protests in Kandahar and Jalalabad
"I don't think we should be blaming any Afghan," Mr de Mistura said. "We should be blaming the person who produced the news
Oh those U.N. guys they are "sofa-King" stupid!
it was not a group of deranged Muslims that were whipped into a frenzy by their religious leaders! no, no, no, Terry Jones did it all the way from Florida!
BULLSHIT, If you graze the endless Videos on YouTube, you will find several videos of people burning the Quran! not just reject jones.
So why would just this one video do this?
It did not, it was a bunch of crazed lunatics that did this, religious zealots, MURDERERS, weak minded individuals that will buy and do what ever their Imams tell them to do !
The U.N. well they are just a bunch of Pussies who would rather please a Muslim than do what is right, they would rather give the crazed lunatics their guns so that they may be killed, all for Islam!
ISLAM WILL FAIL!
BBC
At least one person has been killed and 16 injured in a third day of protests in Afghanistan over the burning of a Koran in the US last month.
Hundreds of demonstrators marched in Kandahar, Jalalabad and other areas on Sunday.
On Friday, 14 people, including seven UN staff, were killed in Mazar-e Sharif after similar protests...
Ten people in Kandahar died and dozens were injured following Saturday's protests...
The UN's chief envoy to Afghanistan, Staffan de Mistura, blamed Friday's violence in the northern city of Mazar-e Sharif on the Florida pastor who burnt the Koran on 20 March.
"I don't think we should be blaming any Afghan," Mr de Mistura said. "We should be blaming the person who produced the news - the one who burned the Koran. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from offending culture, religion, traditions."
The UN would temporarily re-deploy 11 staff members to Kabul while their office in Mazar-e Sharif was rebuilt, he said, but there would be no evacuation.

Iraqis protest in "Day of Rage"
"There is no potable water, no electricity. Unemployment is growing, which can push the youth toward terrorist activities,"
Oh really, I seem to remember the United states Military trying to help you pathetic excuses for human beings out with your infrastructure. You people did everything you could to destroy it, Yes Al Qaida had a lot to do with it, But you rejects DEFENDED them.
Now you Cry like little Bitches because of your situation.
Try standing up for yourselves, try to actually do something good for your country, quit relying on somebody else to wipe your ass, if you can't at the very least do that, then shut up and deal with what you are dealt.
(Reuters) - Thousands of Iraqis took to the streets on Friday to protest against corruption and a lack of basic services in an organized nationwide "Day of Rage" inspired by uprisings around the Arab world.
Protesters demonstrated throughout Iraq, from the northern city of Kirkuk to the southern oil hub of Basra.
The Arab world has erupted in protests seeking to oust long-standing rulers and improve basic services, although Iraqi demonstrations have been more focused on gripes over essential needs and end to corruption rather than a change in regime.
Hundreds of people carrying Iraqi flags and banners streamed into Baghdad's Tahrir Square, which was under heavy security. Military Humvees and security forces lined the streets around the square and nearby Jumhuriya bridge was blocked off with concrete blast walls.
A vehicle curfew was also in effect in the Iraqi capital.
"We are here for change to improve the situation of the country. The education system is bad. The health system is also bad. Services are going from bad to worse," said 27-year-old Lina Ali, part of a protest youth group on Facebook.
"There is no potable water, no electricity. Unemployment is growing, which can push the youth toward terrorist activities," she said.

Libya and Yemen Try to Suppress Protests
84 dead in Libya, Yemen who knows.
Now that damn near every Muslim country in the world is in turmoil, we are stating to see this here.
The Hand Basket to hell is not big enough anymore.
The New York Times
Cities across northern Africa and the Middle East teetered on a knife’s edge on Saturday as shaken governments in Libya and Yemen made new moves to stifle waves of uprisings.
In Libya, where days of demonstrations have challenged the 41-year rule of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, new protests continued to flare even as the government continued a violent crackdown against the opposition. Libya also moved to shut off Internet access, mirroring a tactic used by Egyptian authorities to thwart an upheaval that eventually led to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak.
Antigovernment marches in the impoverished nation of Yemen took a violent turn as pro-government supporters dressed in civilian clothes opened fire on a group opposing President Ali Abdullah Saleh, wounding at least four people. And hundreds of police in Algeria’s capital used clubs to overwhelm a small group of antigovernment demonstrators, according to news reports.
The New York-based group Human Rights Watch said that the death toll in Libya after three days of government crackdowns against protesters had risen to 84, and news reports said that bodies were continuing to flow into the country’s hospitals and morgues.
Libyan authorities appeared to cut off Internet service overnight, further obscuring the view into one of the region’s most isolated nations.

Cairo crowds swell in anticipation of massive march
Mubarek, will probably be gone by the end of the day;if not things are gonna tip right over the edge.
The Military has said they will not use force, and Mubarek wants to negotiate.
It is hard to negotiate with a few million people, and an Army.
The Los Angeles Times
Helicopters thundered low over central Cairo's Tahrir Square early Tuesday as crowds swelled in anticipation of what protesters hoped would be a massive march aimed at bringing down the 30-year regime of President Hosni Mubarak.
Thousands of pedestrians walked past tanks positioned around the square, where organizers have appealed for a million compatriots to flood the streets.
Egyptian authorities shut down Internet traffic and cellphone service ahead of the protest, in the apparent hope that it would prevent demonstrators from coming to the square.
Al Arabiya reported that authorities have blocked the road between the city of Suez and Cairo to stymie the flow of protesters. The ruling National Democratic Party has also called for a counter demonstration in support of Mubarak. Meanwhile, a coalition of Egyptian human rights groups have issued a call for Mubarak to step down.
Crowds inside the key expanse at the heart of the Egyptian capital have been growing day after day since Saturday, when security forces stopped trying to halt demonstrators from gathering in the square.
Tuesday's new arrivals seemed to energize protesters who had spent another chilly night in the plaza, and the crowd broke into a full-bodied roar of "Down, Mubarak, down!"

Iran says 11 members of Sunni militant group hanged
Iran is the only country I have ever seen that arrests perpetrators of Crimes, Gives them a trial, Convicts and then Executes them so Fast!
What a Fair sounding Judicial System!
Dawn.com
TEHRAN: Iran on Monday hanged 11 members of Sunni militant group Jundallah which claimed last week’s devastating suicide bombing of a Shiite mourning procession, a judiciary official said.
“This morning 11 members of those belonging to (Jundallah), who in recent months were involved in terrorist attacks in the province (Sistan-Baluchestan), fighting with police, and martyring several innocent people have been hanged in Zahedan jail,” Ebrahim Hamidi, head of the provincial justice department, told state news agency IRNA.

Muslims plea for safety after bomb plot arrest
"We left Somalia because of war, and we would like to live in peace as part of the American community," said Kayse Jama, executive director of a local organization founded after the 9/11 attacks to fight anti-Muslim sentiment.
Maybe FIGHTING is not the right word to use in this situation !
And no not all Muslims in Oregon are bad Muslims, but maybe this jackass should look inside his community before bitching about being a target now !
AP
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Muslim leaders called on authorities to step up protection for the region's Islamic community, days after a Somali-American man was accused of trying to blow up a van full of explosives during Portland's Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The plea followed a fire Sunday at the Islamic center where suspect Mohamed Osman Mohamud occasionally worshipped, prompting an FBI arson investigation and concern about the potential for more retaliation.
Somali leaders in Oregon — a state that has been largely accepting of Muslims — gathered with Portland city leaders Sunday evening to denounce violence and call for help for at-risk Somali youth.
"We left Somalia because of war, and we would like to live in peace as part of the American community," said Kayse Jama, executive director of a local organization founded after the 9/11 attacks to fight anti-Muslim sentiment. "We are Portlanders. We are Oregonians. We are Americans, and we would like to be treated that way. We are your co-workers, your neighbors."

Iran accused by UN watchdog of hampering nuclear inspections
NO !
You have got to be Kidding !
Iran is stalling Nuclear Inspections By the IAEA , That's Unheard of .
Whats next , Is Iran going to be accused of being a Terrorist State ?
Guardian.u.k.
In its quarterly report on Iran's programme, the International Atomic Energy Agency repeatedly complained of Iran's failure to respond to its inspectors' requests for information about its plans and activities. In particular, the report said that Tehran's repeated objections to the accreditation of UN inspectors "hampers the inspection process and detracts from the agency's ability" to monitor Iran's nuclear work, which is already the subject of several UN resolutions and international sanctions.
The IAEA noted that Iran had the right to block inspectors on some criteria – several countries vet inspectors on the basis of nationality for example – but objected strongly to an Iranian claim that two recently-blocked inspectors had made "false and wrong statements" in an earlier report. The report was about the removal of sensitive laboratory equipment under IAEA surveillance, which can be used for separating uranium or plutonium from spent nuclear fuel.
The IAEA said it had "full confidence in the professionalism and impartiality of the inspectors concerned, as it has in all of its inspectors"

Two Somali soccer fans were murdered by Hizbul islam for watching a World Cup game. Hizbul islam also arrested 40 others for watching the World Cup. A Hizbul islam sheik, Mohamed Abdi Aros, stated that Somalis should be focusing on jihad and not "watching mad men jump up and down." My Joy Online
Islamic miliants have executed two Somali football fans for watching Nigeria play Argentina on Saturday night.
The deaths happened in Central Somalia which is under strict Islamic law and forbids anyone in the region from watching World Cup matches.
Militants from Hizbul Islam arrested 10 fans who were also part of the group.
A further 30 people were arrested for watching the Australia vs Germany game the following night.

Israel navy boards Gaza aid ship
Israel decided to board another aid vessel today , at least this time nobody was attacked or Killed .
(Reuters) - The Israeli navy boarded another Gaza-bound aid ship on Saturday after Washington condemned as "unsustainable" a blockade which Israel enforced earlier this week by killing nine people on a Turkish vessel. The Israeli navy, whose action on Monday triggered an international outcry, took control of the Rachel Corrie without incident, the Israeli military said.
The boat had ignored Israeli orders to divert to Israel's Ashdod port where Israel had offered to unload the cargo and deliver it to Gaza after inspecting it.
"According to initial reports, there was no violence or injuries amongst the soldiers or the crew, as the use of force was unnecessary and no shots were fired," the Israeli military said in a statement.
Carrying Irish and other activists, the ship was the latest to attempt to break the four-year old blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza with the stated aim of stopping its Hamas rulers from strengthening their arsenal to fight the Jewish state.

Feds Arrest 3, Possibly Tied To Bomb Plot
O.K. So the times square Attempted bomber Was not acting alone ! (Possibly)
If the feds have picked these guys up , There is something there .
Foxnews
Federal authorities have arrested three New England men in connection with the attempted Times Square bombing, Fox News has learned.
FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Thursday morning executed search warrants in "several locations in the Northeast," a statement from ICE said.
At least two raids were in Boston suburbs, where two of the men were arrested. The third man was arrested in Maine, while search warrants related to the case were also executed in Camden County, N.J., and on Long Island in New York.
Attorney General Eric Holder said late Thursday that the three men are connected to Faisal Shahzad, the 30-year-old Connecticut man who allegedly drove a car bomb into Times Square on May 1. But, Holder said, the exact nature of those connections is still unclear.
"There's at least a basis to believe that one of the things that they did was provide him with funds," Holder said.
One source called the raids a "logical next step in the investigation," after gathering information from Shahzad and elsewhere.
The source said the New England men, all three from Pakistan, may have "unwittingly assisted in some capacity." In fact, the source said, Shahzad may have duped the men into providing money, but authorities are not ruling out anything at this point.
Authorities are looking at whether Shahzad may have used a "hawala" system to obtain funds for his bomb plot. According to the Justice Department, a "hawala" is an informal "value transfer system" in which money does not pass through the banking system. Instead, funds are transferred to an operator in one country, and corresponding funds, less any fees, are sent to recipients in another country.

Explosions across Afghanistan's Kandahar; 30 dead
In a "That will show em style" that no one does better than the Taliban And Al Qaida , once again the Taliban has Killed their own people to prove a point to NATO !
And once again it was women and children that paid the price for the Taliban's fury.
Just another Muslim Killing Muslim moment !
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - Taliban suicide bombers struck across Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar on Saturday, killing 30 people and wounding scores in a series of strikes the militants called a message to NATO.
The city is at the center of the Taliban's heartland and the next major target for NATO forces this year.
Officials said the biggest attack was aimed at the prison on the city's outskirts, apparently an attempt to repeat a jailbreak there two years ago.
Abdul Qayyum Pukhla, head of Kandahar's main hospital, said 27 dead and 52 wounded had been brought there, including police and civilians.
Provincial council chief Ahmad Wali Karzai, half-brother of President Hamid Karzai, told Reuters 30 people had been killed, many of them women and children at a wedding hall near one of the targets, the police chief's compound.
Two other attacks included a bomb in a motorcycle parked near his own home, and a suicide attack by a bomber on a bicycle, he said, adding he believed the other attacks were intended as diversions from the main strike on the prison.
A Reuters witness said police opened fire at the scene of the blast near the police chief's compound. Windows in nearby buildings were shattered.
In a statement on their website, the Taliban said they had carried out the bombings in the city as a "message" to NATO commanders planning a large operation there. They said they had inflicted heavy casualties on the "enemies of the mujahideen."

Hizbul Islam official assassinated
For some reason I think that al Shabaab was behind the assassination. Garowe Online
BELETWEIN, Somalia Oct 3 (Garowe Online) - An official working for Somalia's Hizbul Islam rebel faction was shot and killed overnight Friday by unknown gunmen in the central town of Beletwein, Radio Garowe reports.
Sheikh Aden Abdisalam Abdi was a member of the Hizbul Islam administration in Hiran region, where Islamist governor Sheikh Abdirahman Ibrahim Ma'ow joined Hizbul Islam after quitting Somalia's interim government last month.
Local sources said 7 unidentified gunmen killed Sheikh Aden in Howlwadaag neighborhood of west Beletwein, capital of Hiran region.
The group of killers escaped into the night and Hizbul Islam officials said they are investigating the matter.

Somali rebel groups fight in southern port
Nothing better than hearing about Islamic militants Killing each other !
....
MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Rival Islamist rebels battled in southern Somalia's Kismayu port Thursday, killing at least nine people and the fighting threatened to spread to other parts of the failed Horn of Africa state.
Witnesses said al Shabaab gunmen and their one-time allies from Hizbul Islam attacked each other at dawn. Hundreds of terrified civilians fled, while others cowered in their homes.
"The battle has started everywhere in the city. There are heavy exchanges of bullets and we can see militia taking part in the fighting," resident Deqo Ali told Reuters by telephone.
Abdi Hallane, another local man, said he could see the bodies of six dead gunmen lying outside his home. Abdullahi Ali, a nurse, said at least three other people had been killed.
"They are using heavy weapons everywhere," he said from the hospital, adding that at least 15 civilians were wounded.
The Kismayu confrontation had been brewing for days, and Hizbul Islam leaders had threatened to fight al Shabaab "everywhere" in Somalia if clashes began at the rebel-held port, which is a lucrative source of taxes and other income.
Security analysts say Somalia has become a safe haven for militants, including foreign jihadists, and Washington says al Shabaab is al Qaeda's proxy in the country.
Relations between al Shabaab and Hizbul Islam degenerated last week after al Shabaab named its own council to run Kismayu, excluding all Hizbul members. Until then, the two groups had run the port in an uneasy coalition.

Al Shabaab to try French Hostages under shariah law
Things don't look good for the two Frenchmen. BBC
Two French security advisers seized in Somalia will be tried under Sharia law, an official from their captors, the Islamic al-Shabab militia, says. The punishment for "conspiracy against islam" is crucifixion, beheading, amputation of opposing limbs or expulsion from the land.
The unnamed spokesman said they would be tried for spying and "conspiracy against Islam".
The two, who were training government troops, were kidnapped by gunmen in a Mogadishu hotel on Tuesday and later handed over to al-Shabab insurgents.[...]
The al-Shabab official said no date had been set for the trial of the two men.

Al Shabaab and Hizbul Islam take turns with French hostages
An update of this story.
Unfortunately I was right to think that al Shabaab was involved in the kidnapping of the two Frenchmen in Somalia. But it seems that Hizbul Islam carried out the kidnapping and now the two terrorist groups have split the hostages between them.
Seems to me that the terror groups are trying to get two separate ransoms for each Frenchman. The economics of terrorism. New York Times
NAIROBI, Kenya — The two most dangerous radical Islamist groups in Somalia have agreed to “share” the two French hostages kidnapped this week, an Islamist leader said Thursday.
“We decided to share the hostages in order to save the blood of Islamists,” said the leader, a senior member of the Hizbul Islam insurgent group.
The insurgent leader, who asked not to be identified for his own safety, said that Somalia’s most powerful Islamist group, the Shabab, wanted to be in charge of the hostages and had threatened to start an intra-insurgent war over the Frenchmen.
“After a little dispute, one French guy was transferred to the Shabab,” he said. “Now we have one, they have one.”
The Shabab has stoned adulterers and outlawed soccer and is aligned with Al Qaeda, according to the American military. Hizbul Islam is considered more moderate, but just slightly.

Rebels rush to Mogadishu, residents fear more bloodshed
Though I feel for the Innocent people of Somalia , Most of which have fled the country , I have no pity for what happens there ! Somalia has been handed , several times , a new lease on a calm country ! They have continuously pissed it away ! They have no respect for life ! Somalia will most definitely fall to radical Muslims , And the rest of the world will watch ( Nobody Wants any part of this one ), we only have to figure out how to stop them from spreading their Disease outside of the little Cesspool that is Somalia
MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Rebel reinforcements rushed to Mogadishu
Saturday to confront a government offensive after one of the bloodiest
days of combat in the Somali capital in months.
"The fighting in Mogadishu will intensify the coming days," an opposition source said.
At least 45 people were killed and 200 wounded Friday in clashes between Islamist insurgents and pro-government forces.
Neighboring states and Western governments fear Somalia, which has
been mired in civil war for 18 years, could become a haven for
militants linked to al Qaeda unless the new government can defeat them.
Islamist insurgents took up arms in 2007 to drive out invading
Ethiopian troops propping up a Western-backed government which failed
to wield any control over swathes of the Horn of Africa nation.
more than 1 million from their homes. About 3 million Somalis survive
on emergency food aid.
The United Nations refugee agency UNHCR says 49,000 people have fled fighting in Mogadishu in the past two weeks.
Al Shabaab, which Washington says has close ties to al Qaeda, and
Islamist guerrilla group Hizbul Islam have been spearheading attacks on
the government, allied militia and African Union peacekeepers.
