Andre Gerin of the Communist opposition compared the veil to "a walking coffin, a muzzle".
A walking Coffin ! that's a good one .
So now the waiting game , September's not far away , And I'm sure that preparations for some Rioting are being taken .
BBC
France's lower house of parliament has overwhelmingly approved a bill that would ban wearing the Islamic full veil in public.
There were 335 votes for the bill and only one against in the 557-seat National Assembly.
It must now be ratified by the Senate in September to become law.
The ban has strong public support but critics point out that only a tiny minority of French Muslims wear the full veil.
Many of the opposition Socialists, who originally wanted the ban limited only to public buildings, abstained from voting after coming under pressure from feminist supporters of the bill.
President Nicolas Sarkozy has backed the ban as part of a wider debate on French identity but critics say the government is pandering to far-right voters.
After the vote, Justice Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said it was a victory for democracy and for French values.
"Values of freedom against all the oppressions which try to humiliate individuals; values of equality between men and women, against those who push for inequality and injustice."

Sarkozy says Iran working on Nukes
"It is a certainty to all of our secret services. Iran is working today on a nuclear [weapons] program," Jerusalem Post
After Paris warned that new sanctions against Teheran remained an option despite the likelihood of negotiations with Iran, French President Nicolas Sarkozy maintained that the Islamic republic was still working on a nuclear weapons program. An Iranian bomb would also be a threat to US and NATO troops in the region.
"It is a certainty to all of our secret services. Iran is working today on a nuclear [weapons] program," Sarkozy told lawmakers from his UMP party on Tuesday, according to Press TV.
"We cannot let Iran acquire nuclear" weapons because it would also be a threat to Israel, he added.
French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero had warned that Iran must make "concrete gestures" at the long-awaited discussions. He said the sanctions option remained on the table in case Teheran makes "an error of choice."Good luck with that. Iran has already turned down Obama's offer of dialogue. Any dialogue regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions will only be used to kill time by Iran.
"It is up to Iran to restore international confidence ... and show it is ready to seriously discuss its sensitive activities," Valero said at a press briefing.

Muslim Woman Banned From Parisian Public Pool for Wearing 'Burquini'
Pres . Zarkozy Stick to your Guns .
Protests ? any day now !
Fox News....
PARIS — French officials say a Muslim woman wearing a head-to-toe swimsuit has been denied access to a public swimming pool in a town southeast of Paris.
Emerainville Mayor Alain Kelyor said Wednesday the 35-year-old woman was not allowed to swim in the pool wearing a so-called "burquini" covering her body from head to toe.
Officials say the outfit is unhygienic and potentially harmful to other swimmers.
The woman, a convert to Islam, has complained to police that the ban is discriminatory.
The incident adds to controversy over the wearing of the head-to-toe burqa or other full-body coverings worn by some Muslim fundamentalists. President Nicolas Sarkozy wants them banned.

Aussie muslims dismayed at Burqa ban in France
"Islam does not particularly say everyone has to wear the burqa or niqab, it talks about modest clothing.
"That does not in anyway belittle the status of women; it is purely out of their own choice, so for him to say those words denigrates the religion and the concept of freedom of choice."
Uh huh, that's why women in Saudi Arabia, Iran, under the taliban, al Shabaab, and other islamic dictatorships, who choose not to wear the burqa are stoned to death. Some choice. Brisbane
Australian Islamic leaders are dismayed at French President Nicolas Sarkozy's criticism of the burqa as a threat to "the equality and dignity of the female", saying his comments do not reflect the reality about the status of women in Islam.[...]Yes, but for women in islamic countries it is not a matter of choice.
Jamila Hussain, a lecturer in Islamic Law at the University of Technology Sydney, said she believed the burqa and niqab were "inappropriate" in Western countries, but defended the decision of women who chose to wear them.
"I think Nicolas Sarkozy should get out a bit more and go and talk to ladies in minority communities, particularly those that wear the burqa, and ask them if they've been oppressed and forced to wear it," she said.
"It's a cultural assumption that's very common in Western countries, but for women who wear it in Western countries it's largely a matter of choice."

Sarkozy says burqas are 'not welcome' in France
Well damn!
"The burqa is not a religious sign, it's a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement — I want to say it solemnly," he said. "It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic."
Congratulations Pres. Sarkozy ! If you were not on the Muslim's list of hated politicians Before , You are now .
But serious Kudos to you Sir for saying it like it is ! Even though you tried to smooth it over a little !
....
PARIS (AP) — President Nicolas Sarkozy declared Monday that the Islamic burqa is not welcome in France, branding the face-covering, body-length gown as a symbol of subservience that suppresses women's identities and turns them into "prisoners behind a screen."
But there was a mixed message in the tough words: an admission that the country's long-held principle of ethnic assimilation — which insists that newcomers shed their traditions and adapt to French culture — is failing because it doesn't give immigrants and their French-born children a fair chance.
In a high-profile speech to lawmakers in the historic chateau at Versailles, Sarkozy said the head-to-toe Muslim body coverings were in disaccord with French values — some of the strongest language against burqas from a European leader at a time when some Western officials have been seeking to ease tensions with the Muslim world.
"In our country, we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity," Sarkozy said to extended applause of the lawmakers gathered where French kings once held court.
"The burqa is not a religious sign, it's a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement — I want to say it solemnly," he said. "It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic."

Sarkozy says France will take Guantanamo detainee
If you think France has a big Muslim problem now , wait till this guy Gets shop set up !
No country in their right mind wants to take these Efing rejects and just turn them loose on society ! They will all have to be watched for years to come ! One of Al Qaidas best tactics Is The waiting game !
P.S I don't consider France in their right mind !
STRASBOURG, France (Reuters) - France is ready to take a detainee from Guantanamo Bay when the prison camp is shut down, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Friday after a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.
He said he had long been a critic of Guantanamo but that if Obama needed allies to take detainees from the facility in order to close it, then France would agree.
"We can't condemn the United States because they have that camp and then wash our hands of it once they close it. That's not what being allies is about," Sarkozy said during a joint news conference with Obama.
"Yes, we talked about it, and yes, we reached an agreement," he said, adding there was one Guantanamo detainee connected to France.
Obama expressed his appreciation to Sarkozy for "being good to his word."
"I made the decision to close Guantanamo because I do not think it makes America safer," he said.
"In order to do it carefully and thoughtfully we are going to consult with our allies, and in certain cases we are going to need help with detainees that may still pose a risk but we may not be able to repatriate to their countries of origin."
European governments, who for years called for the camp to be closed and want to mend ties with the United States that were damaged under former President George W. Bush, face pressure to help find a home for some its about 245 remaining detainees.
However, governments have been split on how far they are prepared to go and whether they would accept Guantanamo inmates, particularly those with no link to their own countries.

Sarkozy says "Arabic is the language of the future"
France has the largest muslim population, approximately 5 million, out of all the European countries. How much longer will it take for France to become completely dhimmified?
Charles Martel is spinning in his grave. Brussels JournalThe French government is strongly advocating the teaching of Arabic language and civilization in French schools. Not surprising, considering the number of Arabs and Muslims in France, and the unctuous deference with which they are treated by officials, beginning notably with Nicolas Sarkozy, who cannot praise enough the splendor of Arabic contributions to the world.[...]
In his message to the participants, French President Nicolas Sarkozy called Arabic the "language of the future, of science and of modernity," and expressed the hope that "more French people share in the language that expresses great civilizational and spiritual values."
