Mexico, not a safe place for Americans...Honestly not a safe place for Mexicans either.
So why is their so many Americans being killed in Mexico and nothing being said in the MSM? are they not High Profile deaths? Not enough controversy surrounding their deaths?
or is it more of the same BS of not saying anything other than Mexico is a beautiful and safe place to visit?
El Paso Times
Homicide was the leading cause of death for 119 U.S. citizens who died in Mexico and were reported to the U.S. State Department between Jan. 1 and June 30, according to statistics.
Sixty-five Americans died as a result of shootings and other violent crimes; 12 of them were killed in Juárez and 13 in Tijuana. Both are border cities with high levels of drug violence.
One homicide of a U.S. citizen was reported during that period in Meoqui, Chihuahua, and another one died in a vehicle accident, also in Chihuahua.
"The number of U.S. citizens reported to the Department of State as murdered in Mexico increased from 35 in 2007 to 111 in 2010," the State Department said in a statement.
Figures suggest that homicides involving U.S. citizens could surpass last year's total.

At Least 40 Killed in Mexico in 24 Hours
A nice weekend to be vacationing in Mexico.
Clubbing in Monterrey, touring the outskirts of Mexico City looking at all the beheaded bodies, Sweet !
Mexico, a little slice of Afghanistan just to our South.
Foxnewshttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
MEXICO CITY – Mexican officials blamed turf wars between some of the country's most brutal drug cartels for a wave of violence across the nation that killed more than 40 people in three attacks, including 21 people massacred in a night club in the northern business capital of Monterrey, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.
The bloodiest attack took place Friday night at the gritty Sabino Gordo bar when gunmen with assault rifles shot down patrons and workers in Monterrey, a business center that became a battleground between the Zetas drug gang and the Gulf Cartel from the neighboring state of Tamaulipas.
That same day, 11 people were found shot to death in Chalco, just outside Mexico City. One person survived the attack. On Saturday, the decapitated bodies of 10 people, including three women, turned up in the northern city of Torreon in the trunk of a vehicle.
The carnage was the latest evidence that despite the capture of many top cartel leaders, Mexico's government was making little headway in its battle against escalating drug violence.
During the last four years, drug-related violence claimed at least 42,000 lives, according to tallies by Mexican newspapers

Cartel Violence Deterring U.S. Businesses From Opening in Mexico
Huh! But the Napolitano says all is good on the Border and everywhere else in Meixco, And The Obamasiah Agrees!
I don't know why any one is bothered but beheadings and rampant murder and kidnappings, they all must be racist!
Foxnews
MCALLEN, Texas – Dozens of Mattel Inc. employees were on their way to another day of work making Power Wheels in Mexico's industrial heartland when gunshots erupted around them and a grenade ripped into one of their buses, killing one worker and wounding five.
The battle between drug traffickers and the army near the city of Monterrey last week was the sort of violence that is frightening U.S. companies away from new investments south of the border, where organized criminals are increasingly turning to kidnappings, extortion and cargo thefts despite a government offensive against drug cartels.
"These acts of violence are not happening in a vacuum; they're happening in the street that could be right out in front of your building. Bullets get shot and they have to stop somewhere," said Dan Burges, a senior director at Freightwatch Inc., an Austin-based cargo security firm.
As a result, only half of the U.S. firms surveyed recently by the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce said they would go ahead with new investment plans in Mexico and several companies, including Whirlpool Corp., have recently announced they would put new factories elsewhere citing concerns about safety.

8 killed in rocket attack in Quetta, SW Pakistan
The Taliban Threatened to retaliate against the U.S. for the Killing of Osama Bin Laden, And they have; to bad that they are killing innocent people to teach everyone a Lesson!
ISLAMABAD, May 6 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed early Friday morning as unknown militants fired rockets at the people doing exercises at a soccer ground in the Hazara town of Quetta, a capital city of Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan, reported local English TV channel Express.
According to the local media reports, the attack took place at about 7 a.m. local time when six to eight unknown militants riding in two cars attacked the people who were doing morning exercises in a soccer ground in the city.
The militants first fired indiscriminately at the people in the ground, then fired three rockets at them, said eyewitnesses.
The attackers fled the scene after a brief fire exchange with the police. Police have cordoned off the area and the dead and injured have been shifted to nearby hospital.
Hospital sources said that some of the injured were in critical condition and the death toll could further rise.
Friday morning's incident is the third terrorist attack reported in Pakistan since the killing of the al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden in the country's northwest city of Abbottabad in an early Monday morning's operation conducted by the U.S. special task force. Pakistan Taliban (TTP) vowed to avenge the killing of bin Laden by threatening terrorist attacks in the country.

Body count from mass graves in Mexico rises to 145
Sixteen police officers are arrested for allegedly providing cover to drug-cartel gangsters suspected in the slayings. The graves were found near the northern Mexico town of San Fernando, where the arrested officers worked.
Don't worry Mexico Is safe, it's not like the police are involved in any wrong doings, like killing people!
The newspaper Reforma reported Friday that there are 400 unclaimed suitcases at bus depots in the route's final destination city of Matamoros.
So 400 at this bus depot, that's 255 more bodies they have not found yet!
and this is just one bus depot! buses are a major way of travel throughout Mexico.
Not a big deal though, this stuff doesn't happen by the border or anything like that!
The Los Angeles Times
The number of bodies pulled from mass graves in northeastern Mexico has risen to 145, officials said Friday, following the arrest of 16 police officers for allegedly providing cover to drug-cartel gangsters suspected in the grisly slayings.
Morelos Canseco, a senior government official for the state of Tamaulipas where the clandestine burials were discovered, said another 23 bodies were extracted Thursday. Unlike the previous victims who are thought to be passengers kidnapped recently from buses, the latest corpses had apparently been buried for a much longer time, Canseco said in a radio interview.
Canseco said none of the bus companies whose passengers were kidnapped ever informed authorities about the crimes. The newspaper Reforma reported Friday that there are 400 unclaimed suitcases at bus depots in the route's final destination city of Matamoros.

People of Mexico, Do not worry; More troops are on the way!
Yes more troops, ok so maybe not such a good idea because a lot of the troops are the Cartels little bitches, but hey at least we are doing something.
Mexico, What a Joke.
BBC
Forensic experts in Mexico have found 13 bodies buried in shallow graves in northwestern Sinaloa state.
Investigators said the victims had been shot in the head, execution-style.
The find comes at the same time as officials unearthed another 10 bodies in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, bringing the total to 126.
Mexican Interior Secretary Francisco Blake Mora said the government would not tolerate such atrocities and promised to send more troops.

100 Bodies Found in Ivory Coast in 24 Hours
Ethnically Motivated Murders?
Confusing to say the least, seeing as how they are all from the same area in the same country!
But whatever the reason the slaughter goes on.
VOA
United Nations officials say investigators have found more than 100 bodies in western Ivory Coast in the past 24 hours.
A spokesman for the U.N. human rights agency said bodies were found in more than one location and most of the deaths seemed to be "ethnically motivated."
On Thursday, Ivory Coast's internationally recognized President Alassane Ouattara asked all Ivorians to refrain from acts of violence.
In a televised speech, Ouattara said his forces have set up a blockade around the presidential compound in Abidjan, where his rival Laurent Gbagbo is barricaded.

Bodies found as Mexicans march against drug violence
This is why the United States Government should be putting out a travel warning or better yet an outright ban on Mexican travel, it is unsafe to go there.
The whole situation in Mexico is exactly like the one in Afghanistan! worse on some levels especially when it comes to the body count.
BBC
Protests in more than 20 Mexican cities against drug-related violence have been interrupted by news of the discovery of 59 bodies.
The bodies were found in Tamaulipas state by police investigating the abduction of bus passengers.
The area is a hotspot in the violence related to drug trafficking that is ravaging parts of Mexico.
The violence was condemned by protesters in the main square in Mexico City, who chanted: "No more blood!"
The bodies were found in eight separate graves in the area of San Fernando, police said - with 43 corpses found in a single grave.
Authorities in Tamaulipas said they had found the graves while investigating reports that, late last month, buses in the area had been stopped and passengers pulled off and kidnapped .
In a raid, 11 people were arrested, while five others being held captive by the alleged kidnappers were freed.

Koran protests in Kandahar and Jalalabad
"I don't think we should be blaming any Afghan," Mr de Mistura said. "We should be blaming the person who produced the news
Oh those U.N. guys they are "sofa-King" stupid!
it was not a group of deranged Muslims that were whipped into a frenzy by their religious leaders! no, no, no, Terry Jones did it all the way from Florida!
BULLSHIT, If you graze the endless Videos on YouTube, you will find several videos of people burning the Quran! not just reject jones.
So why would just this one video do this?
It did not, it was a bunch of crazed lunatics that did this, religious zealots, MURDERERS, weak minded individuals that will buy and do what ever their Imams tell them to do !
The U.N. well they are just a bunch of Pussies who would rather please a Muslim than do what is right, they would rather give the crazed lunatics their guns so that they may be killed, all for Islam!
ISLAM WILL FAIL!
BBC
At least one person has been killed and 16 injured in a third day of protests in Afghanistan over the burning of a Koran in the US last month.
Hundreds of demonstrators marched in Kandahar, Jalalabad and other areas on Sunday.
On Friday, 14 people, including seven UN staff, were killed in Mazar-e Sharif after similar protests...
Ten people in Kandahar died and dozens were injured following Saturday's protests...
The UN's chief envoy to Afghanistan, Staffan de Mistura, blamed Friday's violence in the northern city of Mazar-e Sharif on the Florida pastor who burnt the Koran on 20 March.
"I don't think we should be blaming any Afghan," Mr de Mistura said. "We should be blaming the person who produced the news - the one who burned the Koran. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from offending culture, religion, traditions."
The UN would temporarily re-deploy 11 staff members to Kabul while their office in Mazar-e Sharif was rebuilt, he said, but there would be no evacuation.

Syria, not to friendly to protesters, especially ones attending a funeral!
It is just uncalled for you know, all that funeral going and stuff what do the people expect the Syrian Government to do?

Hundreds of youths from nearby villages were shot at when they tried to march into the centre of the southern city.
A Syrian human rights activist told the BBC that at least 37 had died.
Troops also reportedly shot at people attending the funerals of six people killed in a raid on a mosque overnight.
Before the violence on Wednesday afternoon, at least 12 people had been killed in clashes with the security forces in the southern city.

Targeted civilian killings spiral in Afghan war
75% of all civilian death, committed by the Taliban!
And yet the Afghan People overwhelming side with them!
This is the reason that Afghanistan will be a lost cause once all the troops pull out!
Dawn.com
Civilian assassinations were up 588 per cent and 248 percent in Helmand and Kandahar provinces respectively, the main strongholds of the Taliban and the focus of a US troop surge. –Photo by AFP
KABUL: Targeted killings of civilians in Afghanistan doubled last year, the United Nations said on Wednesday, as an expanding insurgency strikes at Western efforts to build up the Afghan government and security forces.
Of 462 assassinations in 2010, half occurred in Taliban strongholds in the south, where the United States says it has made most gains from a troop surge aimed at turning the tide of the almost decade-old war.
In an annual report on the conflict’s civilian toll, the United Nations said there had been a 15 percent rise in the number of civilians killed to 2,777 in 2010, continuing a steady rise over the past four years.
Insurgents were responsible for 75 per cent of those deaths.
Abductions rose 83 per cent, and violence continued to spread from the south to the north, east and west, the report said.
Civilian deaths in the north, in particular, rose 76 per cent.
But the most “alarming” trend, it said, was a 105 per cent increase in the targeted killing of government officials, aid workers and civilians perceived to be supportive of the Afghan government or Nato-led foreign forces.
The tactic threatens to undermine further the handover of responsibility for security to the Afghan government, police and army starting this year, as Washington and its Nato allies seek to draw down their combined 150,000-strong force.
In many parts of Afghanistan, local governors live behind sandbags on US military outposts and government officials rarely travel to the areas they are supposed to run.

Suspected drug-related violence left at least 28 people dead across Mexico over the weekend, including 14 killed by gunmen in bars in the country's north, authorities said Sunday.
In Coahuila state, across the U.S. border from Texas, nine men died late Saturday when gunmen opened fire inside two bars in separate attacks, state prosecutors said in a statement. Eleven others were wounded.
Assailants killed another five men late Saturday in a bar in the cartel-plagued border city of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua state prosecutors' spokesman Arturo Sandoval said.
In other drug violence in Mexico, at least 14 people were killed in three Pacific coast states.

The body of a fifth man was found alongside a highway, prosecutors in the state of Guerrero, where Acapulco is located, said in a Sunday statement.

Mexico captures suspects in U.S. agent's killing
It is hard to tell if these people captured are the ones responsible, due to the fact that the Mexican authorities are acting like the suspects did not know that the people they were Shooting at were border agents.
Mistaken Identity my ass, We are talking about the Zetas, Former and current police and military, this is what they do.
whatever Mexico says I do not believe, they are only trying to look good for the Next Check they receive from the U.S. Government.
(Reuters) - A Mexican drug gang killed a U.S. customs agent and wounded another last week after mistaking the officials for rivals, Mexican officials said on Wednesday as they presented several captured suspects.
The two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were set upon on a major highway near the central city of San Luis Potosi, north of the capital, in one of the worst attacks on U.S. agents in Mexico in more than a decade and a sign of Mexico's worsening drug war.
Six male prisoners accused in the attack were presented to the media on Wednesday and officials named four other detainees -- three women and a minor.
The attackers spotted the agents driving in a dark sport utility vehicle on February 15 and pursued them before opening fire, Mexican prosecutors said.

Fresh violence rages in Libya
The Muslim way.
Kill all people that are not like you.
Terrorize the people who are left.
Terrorize the people who are like you.
Kill them when they rise up for some basic human rights.
Are any of you Surprised by what is going on in the Muslim world?
Al Jizzera
Libyan forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi are waging a bloody operation to keep him in power, with residents reporting gunfire in parts of the capital Tripoli and other cities, while other citizens, including the country's former ambassador to India, are saying that warplanes were used to "bomb" protesters.
Nearly 300 people are reported to have been killed in continuing violence in the capital and across the north African country as demonstrations enter their second week.
Navi Pillay, the UN high commissioner for human rights, has warned that the widespread attacks against civilians "amount to crimes against humanity", and called for an international investigation in possible human rights violations.
LIVE BLOG
Witnesses in Tripoli told Al Jazeera that fighter jets had bombed portions of the city in fresh attacks on Monday night. The bombing focused on ammunition depots and control centres around the capital.
Helicopter gunships were also used, they said, to fire on the streets in order to scare demonstrators away.
Several witnesses said that "mercenaries" were firing on civilians in the city.
Residents of the Tajura neighbourhood, east of Tripoli, said that dead bodies are still lying on the streets from earlier violence. At least 61 people were killed in the capital on Monday, witnesses told Al Jazeeera.

Iran's Forces Battle Protests Nationwide
Iran protesters still not determined enough to kick it into high gear with their protests, it is a little difficult when you get shot at evertime you get a group of people together.
Foxnews
BEIRUT—For a second time in a week, Iran's opposition drew tens of thousands of supporters to the streets across the nation on Sunday calling for the end to the Islamic Republic's rule.
In response, the government unleashed what witnesses said was an extraordinary number of security forces to violently battle the crowds. Witnesses said mobs of anti-riot police and plainclothes Basij militia lined the streets and on several occasions fired directly into the crowd and beat protesters with steel batons. In one neighborhood, the Basij took over a commercial building and dropped tear gas canisters from the roof onto the protesters, witnesses said.
Basij militia dressed in black shot and killed two young men in Tehran's Vanak and Vali Asr squares, according to witness accounts posted on opposition websites. The victims haven't been identified. Dozens have been injured and arrested, according to witnesses.
"This was the most violent protest we've had by far, and people were also really angry and fearless," said one witness from Tehran, adding that the public seemed resolved to stay on the street.
Suicide bomber kills 30 as Afghan violence spreads
The Taliban have also decided to pick up the pace after a little lull in the action in assghanistan, Maybe they have been watching how the Muslim world is going to shit all around them.
These pukebags are probably wondering how to capitalize on it.
(Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed at least 30 people in a government office in northern Afghanistan on Monday, officials said, with violence spiraling across the country even before an expected spring offensive.
Afghan and NATO-led forces were also investigating two serious incidents involving civilian casualties, the latest killing up to six people when a misdirected air strike appeared to hit a home in eastern Nangarhar province.
In Kunduz province in the north, the center of a growing front in the Taliban-led insurgency, a suicide bomber killed at least 30 people, Mohammad Ayoub Haqyar, the chief of Emam Saheb district, told Reuters. Another 40 were wounded.
Haqyar said the bomber struck while people were queuing to collect identity cards inside a government office. Kunduz police chief, Abdul Qayum Ibrahimi, said three police were among the dead and that many civilians were wounded.

Libya protest death toll rises to 200
"I am crying," the doctor said. "Why is the world not listening?"
Uh, We are not listening?
It is all we hear about Jackass.
And if we were to come and assist you rejects, you would accuse us of Occupying your shithole of a country.
We feel for you all, we wish you all the luck, but we are not wanted.
CBC NEWS
Moammar Gadhafi's forces have opened fire on mourners at the funeral for anti-government protesters in the city of Benghazi, where a doctor says at least 200 people have already been slain in days of demonstrations.
A man shot in the leg Sunday said marchers were bearing coffins to a cemetery when they passed a Gadhafi compound in Libya's second-largest city. The man said security forces fired in the air and then opened up on the crowd.
A hospital official says four people have been wounded, two seriously.
The doctor in Benghazi, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he fears reprisal, said his hospital is out of supplies and cannot treat more than 70 wounded who were hit in the attacks and need attention.
"I am crying," the doctor said. "Why is the world not listening?"
Witnesses told The Associated Press a mixture of special commandos, foreign mercenaries and Gadhafi loyalists went after demonstrators on Saturday with knives, assault rifles and heavy-calibre weapons.

Police chief killed in Mexico's richest city
I find it amazing that there have been 36,000 people killed in Mexico over the past five years, and most of them in the past three; and we still hear from our delusional Government that there is not a problem, It is all hype by a few people who live on the Border.
frustrating to say the least, and scary, what is it going to take to get the Napolitano to admit that it is a bigger problem that what they have been telling US?
(Reuters) - Suspected drug hitmen killed a police chief on Sunday night in one of the most brazen attacks yet on senior officials in Monterrey, Mexico's richest city, the local government said.
Homero Salcido was the head of the security and intelligence agency for the northern state of Nuevo Leon, of which Monterrey is the capital. Responsible for running the region's command center, Salcido was shot five times inside the SUV he was found in, the state government said in a statement.
The killing of a state-level official was the latest sign of a sharp escalation of violence in Monterrey, once considered one of Latin America's safest cities, as a war between the rival Gulf and Zetas cartels sucks the region deeper into Mexico's drug war.
More than 34,000 people have died in drug-related violence across Mexico since President Felipe Calderon launched a crackdown on drug cartels in December 2006 and the killings have spread beyond traditionally volatile border cities.
