U.P. man headed to court over explosive found at Detroit federal building

The Detroit Police Bomb Squad took it to Belle Isle. There, police tried to open a metal cashbox in the bag, when personnel heard a "loud bang, saw a grayish smoke cloud arise ... and saw debris from inside the box fly through the air and spread around the explosion site,"

Three weeks inside the McNamara Fed building, And it was a live bomb?

The Detroit Free Press
An engineering graduate from Michigan Technological University who blames the government for his father's death will appear in federal court in Marquette today on charges that he tried to blow up the McNamara Federal Building in Detroit.

Gary Mikulich, 42, of Kingsford, who allegedly claimed he was once the "nominated president of the United States," was arrested Thursday after federal agents linked him to a suspicious tool bag found Feb. 26 at the federal building.

According to the criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, an FBI employee noticed the tool bag that had been abandoned outside the McNamara Building and reported it to building security.

For an unknown reason, security officers with Federal Protective Services kept the bag for more than three weeks. On March 18, a security officer ran the bag through an X-ray machine and noticed "wires, electrical components and dense masses," the complaint said.

Muslims, Aclu, Sue the FBI.

"We have seen a special emphasis on individuals who have ties to, or have visited Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen,"

Uh, You wonder Why?
Maybe it is because these are the three countries that are the Hotbed of Terrorism in the World!
If you can't understand that then maybe you all oughta pack your bags and go to any one of these countries for a little while... See how you feel about things later on ...if you are still alive.

(CNN) -- The California chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the ACLU say they will announce a federal class action lawsuit Wednesday against the FBI for "illegal surveillance of the Muslim community."

The council's San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento offices began documenting FBI surveillance practices last year.

"In recent months, there has been a notable increase in complaints by community members of FBI visits," the offices said in July.

It said that Muslims of varying ethnic and geographic background have reported visits by FBI agents.

"We have seen a special emphasis on individuals who have ties to, or have visited Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen," it said.

Dearborn Police chief regrets imam's death

Surprisingly not a peep out of Dearbornistan Residents .

Maybe they realize he got what he deserved ?

I'm sure there will be some kind of whineyass statement coming from CAIR .

The Freep
Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad said today he regrets that a Muslim leader died in Dearborn during a shootout with FBI agents.

But he supports the view of the state Attorney General report released Thursday that said no state laws were broken in the Oct. 28 shooting of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah in Dearborn.

“The unnatural loss of life under any circumstances is profoundly regrettable and this case is no different,” said Chief Haddad in a statement. “Imam Luqman Abdullah had family, friends, and a religious following who have all been impacted by this event.”

At the same time, he said Abdullah caused his own death. The Dearborn police department interviewed 85 witnesses and FBI agents in their own investigation.

“It is important to note that four out of five of the defendants in the warehouse surrendered without incident and were not injured,” the city of Dearborn said. “It is clear that the decisions made by Imam Luqman Abdullah, when confronted by the arresting authorities on that day, put into action a series of events that ultimately lead to his death. Careful review of the facts have revealed that Imam Luqman Abdullah fired three shots in the direction of agents, which resulted in the death of an FBI K-9 (dog) prior to any agents returning fire.”

Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, a Lebanese citizen living in Chicago for about three years, was charged Monday with one count each of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted use of an explosive device.

Muslim leaders debate FBI presence at mosques

The head spokesman (nitwit) in charge of CAIRs Image , Ibrahim Hooper , does not like the FBI being invited into the Mosques of the U.S. for protection .

"It has a chilling effect on a house of worship, and we would have concerns that agents would also be gathering information on ordinary worshipers."

Yes DouchBag you probably should have Concerns , Mosques throughout the U.S. have been known to preach militant radical Islam at times , and act as a Gathering place for extremists within the Community , it would be the FBI's job to turn you in for this , yet they would have to protect you at the same time .

So much for that Bridge building .

Washington Post
Muslim leaders are debating the wisdom of inviting FBI agents to mosques to provide protection at a time of rising anti-Muslim rhetoric and debate about the proposed Islamic community center near Ground Zero.

The issue surfaced Tuesday as word spread of a Nashville mosque's decision to host two FBI agents at a prayer service last Saturday night. The agents discussed the investigation of a fire, suspected to be arson, at a planned mosque in nearby Murfreesboro, a project that has also triggered vehement opposition. The agents then silently observed prayers from the back row.

"I don't think it's really appropriate to station agents in mosques," said Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington. "It has a chilling effect on a house of worship, and we would have concerns that agents would also be gathering information on ordinary worshipers."

Blog shut down over terrorist material posted on site

"one thing about the internet is that nothing is really kept hidden away forever".

O.K. So the FBI Stepped in and informed BurstNet that it's Blog hosting service was hosting a site that was being used by Al Qaida sympathizers who had a running list of Americans and bomb making Techniques .

Why did they shut down their whole service ?

Usually you would shut down the offending site , but this time , They decided to lump everyone together and terminate service to over 70,000 blogs .

Sumpthin be fishy here (FBI)

BBC
A web hosting company has said it shut down a blogging platform that was home to over 70,000 bloggers because a "link to terrorist material" and an al-Qaeda "hit list" was posted to the site.

BurstNet said Blogetery.com also posted "bomb-making instructions".

The company said it acted after receiving "a notice of a critical nature from law enforcement officials".

But the move has angered bloggers who use the platform and say they were given no notice of the shutdown.

In response Blogetery.com said its server had been "terminated without any notification or explanation."

The site added that it is trying to resolve the situation.
Related stories.

BurstNet defended its position.

"The posted material, in addition to potentially inciting dangerous activities, specifically violated the BurstNet acceptable use policy" said the web host firm.

BurstNet also claimed that the site had a history of previous abuse.

The news blog Cnet.com reported that officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) told BurstNet on 9 July that al-Qaeda materials had been found on Blogetery's servers.

It also claimed that material allegedly found on the server included "the names of American citizens targeted for assassination by al-Qaeda" as well as messages from Osama bin Laden and other leaders of the terrorist organisation.

Undercover agent helped in probe of Hutaree

The Hutaree's or CCR (Colonial Christian Resistance), are no better than Al Qaida or the Taliban , Planning on killing police because they are doing their Jobs , not a very nice Christian thing to do .

Hopefully this is not a new trend we are heading into , I think we all are ready to stand up and fight for what is right , but this is not the way to do it !

Freep.com
An undercover law enforcement officer infiltrated a Christian militia group to gather evidence that led to FBI raids of the Michigan-based Hutaree group over the weekend.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Waterstreet told U.S. Magistrate Judge Donald Scheer this afternoon that the leader of the group, David B. Stone, 45, of Clayton wanted the undercover agent to prepare bombs to fight law enforcement officers, who the group regarded as enemies of the country.

During the ongoing detention hearing, which began around 1:15 p.m., for eight alleged members of the group, Waterstreet played an audiotape of Stone saying, “Now is the time to strike and take our nation back. … This war will come whether we are ready or not. We will fight alongside anyone that calls the new world order their enemy.”

Stone’s speech was clandestinely recorded on Feb. 6 in a vehicle as members of the group were headed to Kentucky for a meeting with other militia groups, the prosecutor said, adding that Stone’s remarks were part of a speech he planned to deliver at a gathering in Kentucky.

According to prosecutors, on the way back from Kentucky, Stone pointed out a Hudson, Mich., police officer who had pulled someone over and said: “We’re going to pop him, guaranteed.”

Someone else in the van mentioned the Hudson police department was a small force, prompting a reply from Stone: “We’ll pop every one of them.”

Answers are sought in killing of Muslim cleric

"Something is happening here that is an awful and dangerous thing," Smith said.

Yes Mr Smith there is something happening that is awful and Dangerous ,
It is called Radical Islam !

If you Don't want to Die , Do not pull out a gun and point it at a swarm of FBI Agents !

The Freep.com

Leaders in the African-American community called for answers at a rally Saturday afternoon to the killing of a Muslim cleric during an FBI raid in Dearborn in October.

More than 200 people gathered at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit to protest the controversial shooting of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, 53. Abdullah was the target of a two-year investigation by federal agents who said he was a radical Sunni leader preaching the overthrow of the government from his small mosque.

Abdullah was shot 21 times during the raid. FBI agents, in their official account of the event, said they chased Abdullah, then caught up with him and demanded that he show his hands. Instead, they say, he pulled a gun and fired it, prompting agents to fire back.

Abdullah's supporters contend it was an act of police brutality aimed at a black Muslim. Agents in the raid were searching the warehouse for stolen items they say Abdullah was using to raise money for the mosque.

Saturday's event, co-sponsored by the Detroit branch of the NAACP, the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality and others, was held in one of Detroit's most famous Baptist churches, a sign, organizers said, that Abdullah's death was of concern beyond the Muslim community.

The Rev. Robert Smith of New Bethel said he welcomed the rally -- and likened the killing to those committed by police during the civil rights movement and Detroit riots.

"Something is happening here that is an awful and dangerous thing," Smith said.

Imam's autopsy report stuns widow

Very Nice , Now Democratic Representative John Conyers , is on the side of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah(Long dead now , from 20 or so FBI Bullets !)

If He wasn't , then He would not have been interviewed Standing with the Fruity dead Imams Wife !
Never pull a Gun And shoot at or near an Officer Of any kind , Unless you would like to DIE

Freep.com
The widow of a Detroit imam shot to death by FBI agents said today that she was appalled to learn her husband died from 21 gunshot wounds.

“It’s really hard and it’s really painful for me,” Amina Abdullah, 36, said of the autopsy report detailing the death of Luqman Ameen Abdullah. “I was shocked. I was almost going to faint. I couldn’t eat, and I couldn’t sleep.”

Amina Abdullah was married 10 years to the imam, said her attorney Nabih Ayad. Ayad also said the government is trying to deport her to Tanzania.

“She’s concerned about going back home,” Ayad said.

Amina Abdullah appeared at a news conference this morning in Detroit with U.S. Rep John Conyers, who is calling for an independent investigation into the imam’s Oct. 28 death in a Dearborn warehouse.

Ayad told reporters he would also like a second autopsy done because he is concerned about reports of lacerations to Abdullah’s hands and wonders if an FBI dog bit him before he fired back.

The autopsy report was completed in November, but it was not released until Monday at the request of the Dearborn Police Department, which is investigating the incident.

Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said he filed a Freedom of Information Act request to learn whether there is any FBI video of the incident. Walid said he has a hunch that video exists since agents hand controlled the warehouse as part of its undercover investigation.

Conyers said he asked Attorney General Eric Holder to have the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division look into the Oct. 28 incident.

“All we want is simple fairness,” Conyers said, adding that he is concerned that the autopsy report took so long to be released. “On the surface, someone being shot 21 times raises quite a few questions in the criminal justice system. It also may involve the hate crimes law.”

Hate Crimes ? What a joke !
How is your wife dealing with that guilty plea for Bribery Mr Conyers ?
I'm sure the people of Detroit Have a Whole lotta hate for your wife and how she helped Rape The city For years as a Councilwoman !

According to the autopsy report, when an investigator from the Medical Examiner's Office arrived at the scene of the shooting on Oct. 28, the body of Abdullah, 53, was found on the floor of a semi-trailer full of flat-screen TVs with his wrists handcuffed behind his back.

The FBI told the investigator that when "officers arrived, officers asked to see his hands, and they informed him that if he didn't comply, they were going to send a dog in." Agents said they opened fire after Abdullah shot the dog.

Andrew Arena, special agent in charge of the Detroit FBI office, has said agents acted appropriately in the two-year investigation of Abdullah and during the raid. Agents sought to arrest the cleric and 10 other people on suspicion of dealing in stolen goods.

Muslim convert busted with cache of weapons, night vision scope and maps of military base

Lloyd R. Woodson was busted with a bullet proof vest, and a semi-automatic rifle by New Jersey police while he was in a convenience store. After police searched his hotel room, they found more semi-automatic weapons, a grenade launcher, hundreds of rounds, traditional muslim clothing and maps of nearby military bases.

Lloyd R. Woodson has a history of spending time behind bars so it would be a pretty good bet he was converting by those imams who obviously misunderstand the religion of peace.

The FBI have released a statement saying that so far there does not appear to be a connection to terrorism. HELLO...one doesn't need to be connected to al Qaeda or any other terrorist group to carry out terrorist attacks in the name of islam.
Fox News

Authorities in central New Jersey seized a cache of weapons and ammunition including rifles, a grenade launcher and a night vision scope from the motel room of a Virginia man arrested early Monday by officers responding to a report of a suspicious person, MyFoxDC.com reported.[...]

Detectives later searched the room where Woodson had been staying at the Red Mill Inn in Branchburg. Forrest said they seized another Bushmaster .308-caliber semiautomatic rifle with a defaced serial number, a 37 mm Cobray grenade launcher, a second bulletproof vest, a Russian-made night vision scope, a police scanner, a map of a U.S. military installation and a map of an out-of-state civilian community, a Middle Eastern red and white colored traditional headdress and hundreds of rounds of .50-caliber and .308-caliber ammunition.

Woodson is being held at the Somerset County Jail on numerous charges, including unlawful possession of weapons, possession of prohibited weapons, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.

Senators Urge Administration to Transfer Alleged Bomber to Military Custody

"Though the president has said repeatedly that we are at war, it does not appear to us that the president's words are reflected in the actions of some in the executive branch, including some at the Department of Justice,"

It's Disgusting when you look at it that way .
But that is how it seems , it appears that some people , In and around this Administration are in a big hurry to give all the rights of an American citizen , to Members of Al Qaida and their sympathizers !
Who came here to do us HARM !

Two top senators urged the Obama administration on Monday to transfer the suspect in the failed Christmas Day airline bombing to the Pentagon, blasting the Justice Department for reading him his Miranda rights and treating him like a common criminal.

Citing reports that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was "speaking openly about the attack" and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's involvement in it before he was read his Miranda rights, Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins said that reading the suspect his rights shortly after his arrest was an opportunity lost.

Lieberman, I-Conn., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Collins, R-Maine, the committee's ranking Republican, said officials would be able to continue interrogating Abdulmutallab and try him before a military commission if they treat him as an enemy combatant.

"The decision to treat Abdulmutallab as a criminal rather than (an unprivileged enemy belligerent) almost certainly prevented the military and the intelligence community from obtaining information that would have been critical to learning more about how our enemy operates and to preventing future attacks," the senators wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and counterterrorism adviser John Brennan.

Muslim FBI guard: I'm getting harassed because of my beard or religion or something...give me $3 million

Nothing to see here just another muslim filing a lawsuit claiming racial/religious discrimination.

But what stuck me most is that a 72 year old muslim is a guard for the FBI headquaters for New York City. Isn't a 72 year old man too old to be a guard. It's also a bit worrying that a muslim is guarding the FBI especially after considering the Fort Hood attack. NY Daily News

Daoud Ibraheem, 72, was granted a religious exception for facial hair when he was hired in 2007 by Wackenhut Services, but says the special treatment has triggered harassment by supervisors.

In a $3 million discrimination suit filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, Ibraheem says he is subjected to daily spot-checks by officers from the Federal Protective Service.

They repeatedly insist he must produce a letter written by the imam of his Brooklyn mosque vouching for his faith, the suit says.

Remember that 1/7/10 "shocker" report on the Pantybomber?

If you will recall the only shock to come out of the report was Obama semi-shouldering the blame before he turned around and blamed the intelligence community. Other than that, it all ended up being a dud.

Well, as it turns out that's because the Obama administration apparently covered up redacted all the juicy bits involving the administration's laissez faire attitude towards Islamic terror.

From The New York Times:

Mr. Obama this month presented his government’s findings on how the plot went undetected. But a detailed review of the episode by The New York Times, including more than two dozen interviews with White House and American intelligence officials and with counterterrorism officials in Europe and Yemen, shows that there were far more warning signs than the administration has acknowledged.

The officials also cited lapses and misjudgments that were not disclosed in the declassified government report released Jan. 7 about what went wrong inside the nation’s counterterrorism network.

Several high level meetings were held in the White House on December 22 to discuss the escalating threats and the multiple sources of intelligence pointing to threats from the Arabian peninsula. Among them:

A warning from the UN Nations that a similar device used in a prior attack in Saudi Arabia could be smuggled onto airplanes.

Multiple phone intercepts mentioning a 'significant event' on Christmas day.

A phone intercept identifying Umar Farouk as a volunteer for a coming operation.

More phone intercepts from al Qaeda in Yemen looking for ways to get people into the west.

An al Jazeera televised warning from an al Qaeda fighter in Yemen on the actual date of the WH meetings.

And most telling of all:

Counterterrorism officials assumed that the militants were not sophisticated or ambitious enough to send operatives into the United States. And no one shifted more intelligence analysts to the task, so that they could have supported the military assaults by Yemen while also scrutinizing all incoming tips for hints about future attacks against Americans, one administration official said.

So, though intelligence analysts had enough information in those days before Christmas to block the suicide bomber on the Northwest flight, they did not act.

In my opinion this wasn't so much a failure of intelligence or imagination as it was a failure of INTEREST on the part of the Obama administration officials.

Exhibit A

"We have agreements with a number of different countries that work with us cooperatively on intelligence matters," says the State Department employee. "A number of the treaties work through our justice departments or foreign offices or intelligence and interior or homeland security agencies. Several departments here in Washington got the information from London and it didn't trigger anything within our own system.

This employee says that despite statements from the Obama Administration, such information was flagged and given higher priority during the Bush Administration, but that since the changeover "we are encouraged to not create the appearance that we are profiling or targeting Muslims. I think career employees were uncomfortable with the Bush procedures and policies and were relieved to not have to live under them any longer."

Shocking indeed.

About that 'aged' Osama Bin Laden photo? Never mind.

File this one under: "You have got to be kidding me."

FBI admits Spanish politician was model for 'high tech' Osama Bin Laden photo.

The US state department was forced to withdraw the mocked up photo-image, circulated around the world last week, after the discovery that it was not quite as technically sophisticated as the FBI had originally claimed.

The digitally altered image of an older and greying Bin Laden was meant to show how the world's most wanted terrorist might now look without his trademark turban and long beard. It was released in a renewed effort to locate him, more than eight years after the September 11 attack which he ordered and directed.

But it created an unexpected stir in Madrid when a Spanish MP recognised strong elements of himself in the image and complained to the US.

Gaspar Llamazares, 52, a member of Spain's communist party and the former leader of the United Left coalition in parliament, said his forehead, hair and jaw-line had been "cut and pasted" from an old campaign photograph.

Grand jury seeks CAIR documents

The FBI have issued a grand jury subpoena to the attorney of one of the Muslim Mafia authors. The book alleges that CAIR engaged in criminal activity and uses over 10,000 pages of CAIR documents to back up their claims.

Last month CAIR was successful in gaining a temporary restraining ordering the authors of Muslim Mafia to return the documents. However, before the authors could comply with the court order the FBI issued a grand jury subpoena seeking those very same documents. Heh.

Looks like CAIR is going to be in a lot of trouble in the near future.

From Investigative Project

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) appears to be the subject of a federal criminal investigation. Although no formal statement to that effect has been made by law enforcement, FBI agents reportedly issued a grand jury subpoena last week seeking internal CAIR documents that are the subject of an ongoing civil lawsuit.[...]

CAIR won a temporary restraining order requiring that the Gaubatzes return 12,000 pages of documents. WorldNetDaily, publisher of Muslim Mafia, posted a story Nov. 24 claiming that FBI agents served a grand jury subpoena on the Gaubatzes' attorney. The move came as the attorneys were about to comply with the judge's order and give the documents back to CAIR. WND publisher Joseph Farah is quoted saying they weren't sure "Which takes precedence - a federal court order or an FBI warrant?"

Military not told about Ft. Hood suspect's e-mails

Here is some more lunacy developing out of the Fort Hood Massacre/terrorist attack !
It seems that a task force in charge of Investigating Hasan , And his e -Mails to Anwar Al-Awlaki , Which did include a Rep From the department of Defense , Failed to recognize the Signs in front of them !
We have been here before , This is the Same type of B.S that was going on Pre 9/11 , And again it has resulted in a terrorist Attack on our homeland and Innocent people Dying !

....The LA Times
Two high-profile anti-terrorism task forces did not inform the Defense Department about contacts between a radical Islamic cleric and the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people in last week's rampage at Ft. Hood, a senior Defense official said Tuesday.

On the day of a memorial service for those killed at the Texas military base, the revelation compounded questions about whether the government had known enough in advance to stop the gunman.

The FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Forces investigated e-mails that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan sent over the last year to Anwar al Awlaki, an imam in Yemen who espouses a radical Islamist ideology and who has ties to militants. However, officials said, task force members concluded that the communications posed no threat and had been undertaken as part of Hasan's research on Muslims, the military and post-traumatic stress disorders.

Defense officials said Tuesday that the department did not learn about Hasan's contacts with Awlaki until after the Ft. Hood shootings. "There was no U.S. Army or other Department of Defense organization that knew of any contact he had with Muslim extremists," said the senior Defense official, who requested anonymity when discussing the ongoing investigation.

At least one of the task forces included a Defense Department investigator, who did not seek to share the intelligence with the military, officials said.

Various government agencies assign officials and investigators to the Joint Terrorism Task Forces. But there are strict rules about sharing information that is discussed or developed on a task force. "Any and all information from the task force . . . has to be approved by the FBI," the senior Defense official said.

Senior federal law enforcement officials acknowledge that approval is required from a joint task force supervisor, traditionally an FBI official, to share information from investigations with agencies.

In the case of the Hasan e-mails, however, the Pentagon investigator -- a member of the Defense Criminal Investigative Service -- agreed with the task force assessment that the psychiatrist did not pose a threat. The investigator did not press to bring the case to the military's attention.

"It just didn't get to that point," said a U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity when discussing the case. "They made the judgment that it did not rise to that level."
