The British parliament will conduct hearings into the possible illegal and unethical activities at East Anglia University and the Climate Research Unit that were revealed in the leaked climategate emails.
I wonder if the hearing will whitewash the fraud like Penn State's probe into Dr. Mann's manipulation of climate data did.
From American Thinker
The potential criminality of the Climategate scandal is exactly the issue that is being investigated by authorities in Britain. The British Parliament has convened hearings to investigate East Anglia University and the Climate Research Unit to uncover unethical and illegal activities. As more information is revealed, the whole Climategate affair begins to take on the makings of a good mystery novel. Like any good mystery or crime plot, the web of involvement is widespread.[...]Read the whole thing. You'll be surprised to find out who some of the players are in the man made global warming scam.
The British investigation, headed up by Phil Willis, M.P., focuses on four areas: data manipulation, data suppression, violations of the Freedom of Information Act, and data integrity. Clearly, the recently uncovered e-mails will play a big role in this investigation. A new thread in this web has appeared recently concerning a separate investigation conducted by the European Law Enforcement Organization Cooperation (aka Europol). Investigators have found evidence of a complex carbon-trading scam on the European Climate Exchange. Just three short weeks ago, three British subjects were arrested in an apparent scam worth billions of dollars. Much of the criminal activity alleged involves tax evasion.

Even the the head of the UN's IPCC doesn't believe in the propaganda of man made climate change.
Hypocrite -->
Daily Mail
On Friday, for the one-mile journey from home to his Delhi office, Dr Pachauri could have walked, or cycled, or used the eco-friendly electric car provided for him, known in the UK as G-Wiz.
But instead, he had his personal chauffeur collect him from his £4.5million home – in a 1.8-litre Toyota Corolla.
Hours later, the chauffeur picked up Dr Pachauri from the office of the environmental charity where he is director-general – The Energy and Resources Institute – blatantly ignoring the institute’s own literature, which gives visitors tips on how to reduce pollution by using buses.
Dr Pachauri – who as IPCC chairman once told people to eat less meat to cut greenhouse gas emissions – was driven to an upmarket restaurant popular with expatriates and well-off tourists just half a mile from his luxurious family home.
As he waited outside the institute office for Dr Pachauri, the chauffeur said: ‘Dr Pachauri does use the electric car sometimes but most of the time he uses the Toyota.’

The man made global warming fraud is as dead as a fish out of water. Miami Herald
A deep freeze in the shallow waters of Florida Bay and Everglades took a heavy toll on snook and other native fish.[...]
From Ponce de Leon Bay on the Southwest Coast down across Florida Bay to Lower Matecumbe in the Florida Keys -- day after day, dead fish. Floating in the marina at Flamingo in Everglades National Park alone he counted more than 400 snook and 400 tarpon.
``I was so shook up, I couldn't sleep,'' said Frezza, an ecologist for Audubon of Florida and an expert flats fisherman. ``Millions and millions of pilchards, threadfin herring, mullet. Ladyfish took it really bad. Whitewater Bay is just a graveyard.''

A report from the US National Snow and Ice Data Center in Colorado finds that Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007. But didn't we hear from the same Center that the North Pole was set to disappear by now?So does that mean the East Coast won't be flooded by ice cold water?

The mercury has been trending in the opposite direction the UN scientists thought it would. Now one of the leading UN scientists is claiming that the earth might experience global cooling for the next 20-30 years.
Man made global warming is a farce but I would take this claim with a grain of salt. After all, it's a UN scientist making the claim.
A picture of the UK taken by NASA's multi-national Terra satellite last Thursday.-->
Daily Mail
The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.[...]
According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.[...]
Among the most prominent of the scientists is Professor Mojib Latif, a leading member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which has been pushing the issue of man-made global warming on to the international political agenda since it was formed 22 years ago.[...]
He and his colleagues predicted the new cooling trend in a paper published in 2008 and warned of it again at an IPCC conference in Geneva last September.

Where has all the global warming gone? Christian Science Monitor
Paris
After three years sans snow, Paris got hit twice this week. The city doesn’t do snow plows, and the novelty of icicles on the Eiffel is wearing off. Even city birds seem to be shivering. “Global warming I care about, but look outside,” offered a denizen of the 8th District.
“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow,” is fine at Christmas. But in post-holiday Europe, bus engine oil is freezing in Norway. Ireland reports the lowest temperature in 50 years. In Britain, the Army got called out to tow drivers caught in snow drifts, amid possible government gas rationing and fireside chats by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who is turning into the nation’s weather comforter-in-chief.
Satellite imagery shows the UK swathed entirely in snow, looking like a baby Greenland.

Global warming Ice partially shuts down New Jersey nuclear plant. CBS
A nuclear power plant South Jersey was forced to partially shut down due to ice build-up on the Delaware River.
Officials said the power plant in Salem County had to shut down one generator and reduce power in another at about 8 a.m. Saturday due to floating ice on the river.[...]
Plant officials told Eyewitness News that it is the first time that they had to take this unusual step because of ice.

This was probably the longest New Years party evah. BBC
Guests celebrating new year at the highest pub in England had a longer than expected stay, after heavy snow left them stranded for three days.
About 30 people arrived at the Tan Hill Inn in North Yorkshire on New Year's Eve to welcome in 2010.
But the wintry weather conditions meant the residents were snowed in for a further two nights.

The funny part is listening to the global warming cultists explain how global warming is responsible for the freezing temperatures.
Daily Mail
When Britain woke up on the first day of the New Year it was met with freezing cold temperatures, feet of snow in places and the promise of travel chaos.[...]
CHINA
Snow storms today have caused chaos in China's capital of Beijing, grinding aeroplanes to a halt and causing severe traffic delays.[...]
INDIA
Not a country usually associated with snow, India has experienced severe problems since Saturday when snowfall and a dense blanket of fog began to cause chaos.
More than 30 people died in cold-weather related incidents in Northern India over the past 24 hours, with 10 of those losing their lives in train accidents caused by the fog.[...]
RUSSIA
A country much more used to dealing with high levels of snow, Russia saw temperature lows of a chilling -20C in Moscow today.

“our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell....let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” said Hugo Chavez to roaring applause at the Copenhagen summit.
Seems pretty obvious to me what the Copenhagen summit is all about.
From Herald Sun
President Chavez brought the house down.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.

A gift that keeps on giving. Telegraph
On Tuesday, the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) issued a report claiming that the Hadley Center for Climate Change based at the headquarters of the British Meteorological Office in Exeter (Devon, England) had probably tampered with Russian-climate data.
The IEA believes that Russian meteorological-station data did not substantiate the anthropogenic global-warming theory. Analysts say Russian meteorological stations cover most of the country’s territory, and that the Hadley Center had used data submitted by only 25% of such stations in its reports. Over 40% of Russian territory was not included in global-temperature calculations for some other reasons, rather than the lack of meteorological stations and observations.
The data of stations located in areas not listed in the Hadley Climate Research Unit Temperature UK (HadCRUT) survey often does not show any substantial warming in the late 20th century and the early 21st century.

As soon as our betters at Copenhagen figure out a way to spend/tax our way out of global warming we won't have to worry about these global warming storms.
From ABC
People in the north-central part of the Canadian province of Ontario are digging out after one of the worst snow storms on record.
Some areas north of Toronto received as much as 100 centimetres of snow over the past three days.
The main highway through the region re-opened for the first time in days, but nearly all side roads remain closed, blocked by a thick blanket of snow, in some areas chest high.
More than 100,000 people have been affected by the storm, either cut off in smaller communities, or in their cottages, or stranded by the road closures.[...]
Meanwhile, western Canada is in the grip of a cold snap with temperatures plummeting anywhere from -40 to -50 degrees Celsius.

Gordon Brown, the prime minister of Britain, has compared skeptics of man made global warming to people who believe the earth is flat.
I think think Gordon Brown has popped a few too many pills.
<--Note: this pic is not photoshopped.
From Telegraph
The Prime Minister launched an outspoken attack on climate-change sceptics amid growing signs of public doubts about the scientific and political consensus on the environment.[...]
Mr Brown last night insisted that the science on climate change in settled, and accused those who question the consensus of being outdated.
He said: "With only days to go before Copenhagen we mustn't be distracted by the behind-the-times, anti-science, flat-earth climate sceptics. We know the science. We know what we must do.”
