Ever step on a Nail ? How about Shooting one through your Hand with your own Framing nailer ?
Unfortunately I have , it is excruciatingly Painful , almost as Painful as Breaking your left hand Index finger in two places with one Misguided full swing of a 28 ounce framing hammer !
My point is , did this Woman not Know she had nails Pounded into her Body ?
Her family only realized what had happened to her when she complained of pain and they took her to see the doctor
Either way , so much for that Religion of Peace thing you know !
Islam is just The Religion of plain Evil .
(Reuters)
L.T. Ariyawathi, a 49-year old mother of three, returned on Friday after five months in Saudi Arabia.
Her family only realized what had happened to her when she complained of pain and they took her to see the doctor, Foreign Employment Bureau officials said.
"The landlord and the wife of the landlord hammered 24 nails into her when she complained of the heavy workload," Kalyana Priya Ramanayake, media secretary of the Foreign Employment Bureau, told Reuters.
Ariyawathi has been taken to hospital for surgery to remove the nails, which according to the maid were hammered in when they were hot.
X-rays showed one- to two-inch nails in her hands and legs, with one over her eyes, officials said.

Sri Lankans besiege UN office over war crimes panel
Sri Lanka seems a little pissed off about the U.N. , Can't say that I blame them , the U.N. Likes to impose itself on everyone , they love to do these "Investigations" into War Crimes but they hardly ever come out on the side of the Innocent !
The Tamil Tigers waged a nasty war where they used Innocent civilians as Human shields , They literally Lured the people into camps , saying they will protect them .
BBC
Hundreds of Sri Lankan protesters have surrounded the United Nations offices in Colombo to demand the UN end investigations into alleged war crimes.
They burned an effigy of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in protest at his setting up of a human rights panel to look at the Sri Lankan war.
Housing Minister Wimal Weerawansa led the march, urging people to besiege the UN compound in retaliation.
Sri Lanka says the panel is not needed and denies troops committed war crimes.
There have been consistent allegations that both the army - and Tamil Tigers rebels who troops routed last year - committed crimes at the end of the war.
About 7,000 civilians died in the last five months of the war, the UN says.
It says the panel, announced last month, will advise on how to deal with alleged perpetrators of abuses.

New Tamil Tiger head arrested: Sri Lanka military
No doubt , The Tamil Tigers were regrouping , it's what militants do !
If the Sri Lanka Military would have killed them All there would be no worries ( Most Likely ) But you show some weakness by letting some of them live , and pretty soon you are back to Square one !
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) -- The new head of the Tamil Tigers, the separatist group defeated by the Sri Lankan military after a 25-year war, has been arrested in Thailand, Sri Lanka's military said on Thursday.
Selvarajah Pathmanathan was wanted on two Interpol warrants and took the reins of the remnants of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) after their defeat in May.
"He has been arrested in Bangkok. That is all we know at the moment," military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

Over 20,000 died in Sri Lanka rebels' defeat: report
LONDON (Reuters) - More than 20,000 Tamil civilians were killed in
the final days of Sri Lanka's military operation to defeat Tamil Tigers
rebels, The Times newspaper reported on Friday.
Sri
Lanka's authorities say their forces stopped using heavy weapons on
April 27 in a no-fire zone where an estimated 100,000 Tamil civilians
were sheltered and blame civilian casualties on rebels hiding among the
civilians, the paper said.
Citing
confidential U.N. documents it acquired, The Times said the civilian
death toll in the no-fire zone soared from late April, with around
1,000 civilians killed daily until May 19. That was the day after
Vellupillai Prabhakaran, leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE), was killed.
The final civilian death toll could be more than 20,000, said the paper.

Last phase of Sri Lanka war killed 6,200 troops
The last phase ? Which one they had several ! If it is the very last one then the 6200 Ltte ,were killed in about two days , But no report of how many civilians have been killed .
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - More than 6,200 soldiers died and nearly 30,000 have been wounded since the last phase of Sri Lanka's 25-year war with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) began in July 2006, the defense secretary has said.
Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa gave the figures for the first time during an interview late on Thursday with the state-run Independent Television Network.
By comparison, in the six years and one month since the United States went to war in Iraq, nearly 4,600 U.S., British and other nations' troops have been killed.
Sri Lanka had only given its own casualty figures erratically if at all during the final 34-month phase of the war, dubbed Eelam War IV, and stopped giving them altogether last year.
The military had said several months ago it had killed at least 15,000 Tamil Tigers in the course of fighting but has not given a final tally.

Sri Lanka says wins civil war, kills rebel leader
COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lankan troops won the final battle in one of
the world's most intractable separatist wars, and put the island nation
under government control for the first time since 1983, the military
said.
In the climactic final gun battle, special forces troops killed
Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran
as he tried to flee the war zone in an ambulance early on Monday, state
television reported.
LTTE intelligence chief Pottu Amman and Soosai, head of the "Sea
Tiger" naval wing, were also believed killed, the report said.
Prabhakaran founded the LTTE on a culture of suicide before surrender,
and had sworn he would never be taken alive.
Army commander Lt-Gen. Sarath Fonseka said troops on Monday morning
had finished the task President Mahinda Rajapaksa gave them three years
ago.
"We have liberated the entire country by completely liberating the
north from the terrorists. We have gained full control of LTTE-held
areas," Fonseka announced on state TV.
The end of combat and Prabhakaran's death sent the currency and
stock markets to one-month and seven-month highs respectively by 0900
GMT. They had already surged at the opening in anticipation of the
war's end.

Obama urges action to avert Sri Lanka catastrophe
The U.N Has "ordered" the Army and the Rebels , to protect the civilians !For an organization that never gets anything done during other "Humanitarian Situations !" (Darfur) that is pretty strong words , And as limp as the U.N is , why would anyone listen to them ? And Obama sounds like he is just jumping on the bandwagon of other world leaders who pipe up just to look good , All talk no action !
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Wednesday urged both sides in Sri Lanka's 25-year civil war to take measures to avert a humanitarian crisis and aid tens of thousands of people trapped in the war zone.
The U.N. Security Council held its first formal session on Sri Lanka and voiced grave concern over civilian deaths in the conflict, Asia's longest modern war, and ordered the army and rebels to protect civilians.
"Without urgent action this humanitarian crisis could turn into a catastrophe," Obama said at the White House as fighting intensified in the conflict.
"Now is the time to put aside some of the political issues that are involved and to put the lives of the men, women and children who are innocently caught in the cross fire, to put them first," he said.
Shelling killed a Red Cross worker inside Sri Lanka's war zone on Wednesday, and hundreds of civilians were reported killed on Sunday and Monday in artillery barrages as troops attacked a narrow strip of land controlled by the Tigers, who want a separate state for minority Tamils.
The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, or LTTE, rebels are cornered in a coastal strip with tens of thousands of civilians, who U.N. officials say have become human shields.

UN mourns Sri Lanka 'bloodbath'
It is a shame that in almost every conflict around the world right now that there is such a large loss of civilians , But If the radical wackos would not hold civilians for use as human shields , this would not be happening to this extent ! The Tamil tigers are just following in the footsteps of the pros of the Human shield , Hamas , The Taliban now use human Shields also ! It is the reason why they call it terrorism ! It is the reason why we must fight the terrorists !
BBC....
The United Nations has described the situation in northern Sri Lanka as a "bloodbath" after reports of heavy civilian casualties at the weekend.
UN spokesman in Colombo Gordon Weiss said more than 100 children died during the "large-scale killing of civilians".
On Sunday, a doctor working in the war zone said at least 378 people were killed by fierce shelling.
Meanwhile, the military spokesman for the Tamil Tiger rebels, Ilanthirayan, has been seriously wounded in fighting.
Mr Ilanthirayan sustained heavy injuries in an attack by the Sri Lankan army on Sunday, the pro-rebel website TamilNet said.
The Sri Lankan defence ministry said a senior officer of the rebels' sea wing also died in fighting last week.

Sri Lanka rejects ceasefire despite fresh pressure
what a situation ! estimates of 6500 dead over a couple of months , All Civilians ! a Stubborn terrorist group , and an even more stubborn Government ! Over one hundred thousand people that have scrambled for their lives ! all coming down to a small little Four square mile Area !And the Government Says (For the 6th or 7th Time ) that within a day or two it will all be over !
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said on Thursday his government had no intention of a ceasefire with Tamil Tiger rebels, telling international critics the military's actions constituted a "humanitarian operation."
Sri Lanka has been under fresh pressure this week, from the European Union among others, to allow a ceasefire so civilians trapped in the tiny area the Tigers still hold can escape.
U.S. officials meanwhile told Reuters Washington wanted an IMF loan to Sri Lanka delayed to encourage Colombo to do more to help the civilians caught in the last redoubt of the Tigers, who have fought a 25-year war for a separate ethnic Tamil homeland.
"We have at no time gone for a ceasefire. We will not do so now. There is no time for that now," Rajapaksa said in a speech published on government websites.
"In the five or six days remaining we have given the opportunity for the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) to lay down their arms and surrender," he said, urging them to also let civilians leave.

Sri Lankan troops move in on Tigers, 62,000 flee
Almost There ? Not without a fight ! The Ltte Has vowed not to surrender !
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lankan soldiers battled into the last redoubt of the rebel Tamil Tigers on Tuesday as the exodus of people fleeing the war zone surpassed 62,000 and the United States said the conflict was at a "decisive point".
The International Committee of the Red Cross warned the situation was "nothing short of catastrophic" and urged both sides to prevent further mass casualties among civilians, saying hundreds had been killed in the past 48 hours.
The neutral agency did not assign blame to either side.
Senior U.S. diplomat Michael Owen, speaking in Washington, urged Sri Lanka to allow the international community to monitor what was happening and assure help for trapped civilians.
"The 26-year-old conflict is at a decisive point and we see the potential for major developments witin the next 48 hours," Owen told reporters, urging restraint on all sides.
The operation gathered speed after the military's noon (0630 GMT) deadline for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to surrender passed without any word from the separatists, in what appears to be the final act in Asia's longest-running war.
The LTTE hours later vowed no surrender, despite being massively outgunned by a military built up to wipe them out and finish a conflict that has percolated since the early 1970s but erupted into full-blown civil war in 1983.

Sri Lanka war exodus at 39,000 as deadline nears
At least the civilians that are trapped are starting to get out , The "Final,Final" end to this is probably not going to end up very good for Anyone involved , Especially with civilians still left or held between the Ltte and the Sri Lanka Military !
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - An exodus of civilians fleeing Sri Lanka's war zone topped 39,000 and more were coming, the military said on Tuesday before its final deadline for the Tamil Tiger rebels to surrender or die was to expire.
The huge outpouring of people started on Monday after soldiers breached an earthen berm blocking the main route out of a 17 square km (6.5 sq mile) no-fire zone on the northeastern coast, the last redoubt controlled the separatist Tigers.
The presence of tens of thousands of civilians trapped by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has been the main obstacle for the Sri Lankan military, which has cornered the rebels with the aim of finishing the 25-year-old war.
The United Nations and western governments have urged the military to renew a brief truce to negotiate the peoples' exit, a plea the government has rejected on the grounds that the Tigers have dismissed all entreaties to let the people out.
"There are 39,081 civilians that have arrived and they are still arriving," military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said. "Military operations are still continuing."

Sri Lanka suspends offensive for 2 days
At first this was said to be a Truce , but now it is just a little break in the action ! I don't know who the bigger Idiots are here ? The LTTE for using the civilians as human shields , or the Sri Lanka Military for Bombing the crap out everything and everyone , It is just a No win situation for the 100,000 plus civilians that may or may not be able to get out !
....
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka's army began two-day cease-fire Monday, halting offenses against the cornered Tamil Tiger rebels and advising thousands of trapped civilians to use the pause to escape the war zone, the military said.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa ordered the military Sunday to restrict operations to a defensive nature only for the Sri Lankan New Year. His call came amid increasing international pressure on the government to protect civilians.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband welcomed the move and called on both sides to refrain from fighting.
The U.N. says that more than 100,000 people are trapped along with the cornered guerrillas in a government-declared "no-fire" zone measuring just 7.7 square miles (20 square kilometers).
It has said scores of civilians have been killed in the fighting.

Sri Lanka military says 25-year war in final act
For the third time in about as many months , the Government of Sri Lanka is saying the end to the war is almost there ! I guess when you have been fighting for over 25 years what is a few months !
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's military said on Sunday troops had confined the Tamil Tiger rebels to a no-fire zone, where the last act of the 25-year separatist war will play out with tens of thousands of civilians still trapped.
Three separate units killed at least 420 rebels after surrounding them in a triangle-shaped single square kilometer (0.5 square mile) during a three-day battle, the military said.
That means the remaining rebel-held area is less than 20 square km (8 sq miles) of coconut groves on the Indian Ocean island's northeast coast where the United Nations has said the Tigers have kept more than 100,000 civilians as human shields.
"The only uncleared area left is the no-fire zone," military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said. "We have recovered over 420 bodies over the last three days."
Troops confirmed they had killed the head security officer for Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) founder and leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran, Gaddhafi; the head of the LTTE's female fighters, Vidusha, and commander Theepan.

Sri Lankan Tamil Party Calls for Cease-Fire in North
Once again in sounds like this one is about over , The Ltte has for the past few months , been systematically beaten back Towards the northeast of Sri Lanka , This is the "Political" party of Tamil calling for the Cease fire , not the rebel's ! the rebel's do not want to stop ,they will drop their weapons and blend in with the crowd so they may continue their fight !
....
March 27 (Bloomberg) -- Sri Lanka’s main Tamil political party called on the government to declare a cease-fire to protect civilians in the north, as the army said the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is facing “imminent” defeat.
“The Sri Lankan military must stop the offensive,” Mavai Senathirajah, a lawmaker from the Tamil National Alliance, said yesterday. “Humanitarian workers must be allowed in.”
The army’s drive against the LTTE has “confined” the last rebel units to a 21-square-kilometer (8-square-mile) area in the northeast, said Keheliya Rambukwella, the government’s defense spokesman.
The United Nations is leading calls for the government and LTTE to stop fighting to allow aid to reach between 150,000 and 190,000 civilians caught in the conflict zone. The government accuses the Tamil Tigers of preventing people from leaving while the LTTE says Tamils are facing “genocidal warfare” through artillery shelling and air attacks.
More than 55,000 people have fled into government- controlled areas in the north since January, the government said yesterday. Conditions in transit camps must meet international standards, Holmes said.
The Tamil Tigers say people are staying in LTTE-held territory of their own free will because they don’t want to be placed in government-run internment camps.
The UN said earlier this month as many as 2,800 people may have been killed and 7,000 injured since January, describing the casualties as “truly shocking.”

Sri Lankan army measures end of 25-year war in days
First of all how the hell are you supposed to pronounce this "PUTHUKUDIYIRUPPU"
I'm sure it's a lovely place !!! Anyhow , this war may be over in a few days , but seeing how all militant separatists , (Terrorists) deal with defeat , this will not be the last anyone hears of these guy's .
They may give up the fight (for now ) , but they definitely will not give up the Cause !
....
PUTHUKUDIYIRUPPU, Sri Lanka (Reuters) - After 25 years of war, Sri Lanka army Brigadier Shavendra Silva is measuring the last of the fighting in days.
Standing not far from where he expects a final showdown with Tamil Tiger separatists in the Indian Ocean island's northeast, the 58th Division commander ordered in his armored units as Tiger mortar bombs exploded on the nearby frontline.
Three T-55 tanks and an armored personnel carrier with a 30 mm cannon raced down the A-35 road, throwing up clouds of fine red dust, the thump of their 30 mm cannon heard within a minute.
Just a few hours earlier, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam's (LTTE) peace secretariat had issued a letter addressed to the United Nations and others saying the separatist guerrilla group would accept a truce but not surrender.
"We have a job to do. We are not bothered about any truce at the moment," Silva told Reuters Monday on a visit to a frontline usually closed to outside observers.
Sri Lanka's military has cornered the LTTE in less than 60 sq km (23 sq miles) of palm-dotted coastal scrubland and expects to end one of Asia's longest-running wars shortly.
"How long it will take is not in weeks. I am talking in days," Silva told Reuters earlier at his headquarters in Kilinochchi in the three-storey former LTTE Peace Secretariat where the Tigers once hosted diplomats and journalists.

Female Suicide Bomber Strikes Sri Lanka
Blowing yourself up and taking out women and children while doing it !
This is not the way to get the attention needed for your cause , but it is one of the most widely used ones by terrorists everywhere !
Mind numbing what radicals around the world are willing to do !
I'm sure they inspired more of their own people to join their cause ! VOA
....
As the long-running war in Sri Lanka draws to a close, more and more civilians find themselves caught in the crossfire. A suicide bomber killed at least 24 people and injured at least 45 others, Monday, near a relief camp for people, mainly Tamils, fleeing the fighting between Sri Lanka's army and Tamil rebels. Raymond Thibodeaux reports for VOA from Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital.
Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara is the spokesman for Sri Lanka's military. He says the suicide bomber was from a female cadre of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, better known by their initials LTTE.
Nanayakkara said, "Large numbers of civilians were coming, in seeking protection from the army. And, when they were coming in, they were being checked. When we were checking this female by the women soldiers, the LTTE suicide female cadre exploded herself."
He says the suicide bomb attack killed and wounded mostly women and children at a relief camp near Vishvamadu in northern Sri Lanka. They were part of a mass exodus of civilians, mainly ethnic Tamils, trying to escape intense fighting between Sri Lankan troops and the LTTE.
The attack came after military officials reported more than 14,000 civilians had fled to government-protected "safe zones" in the north. U.N. relief agencies and other groups estimate about 250,000 civilians are trapped by the fighting, mostly in rebel-held territory.
The suicide attack could not be independently confirmed, because the Sri Lankan government has barred journalists from war-affected areas.

Sri Lankan army says Tamil Tigers close to losing firepower
The Tamil Tigers have been having their ass's kicked all over the place , soon they will have no where to go ! This is one of the very few conflicts where The terrorists are really losing ground everyday !
....
COLOMBO (AFP) — Sri Lankan troops have advanced to a key area held by Tamil Tigers and are on the verge of destroying the rebels' artillery, a military official said Friday.
Soldiers were on the verge of taking the village of Visuamadu in the district of Mullaittivu, where Tamil Tiger rebels have been forced to retreat in the face of a major military onslaught, spokesman Udaya Nanayakkara said.
"After we take Visuamadu village, the Tigers will not be in a position to use their artillery guns," Nanayakkara said.
Security forces Wednesday seized a command centre of the Tigers while moving closer to the town of Mullaittivu, the Tigers' last urban stronghold.
Tamil Tiger rebels have been waging a drawn-out fight for independence for the island's minority Tamils since 1972.
Sri Lanka's army has said it hopes to crush remaining rebel resistance by April.
The Tigers have not commented on their recent setbacks but the pro-rebel Tamilnet.com website accused the military of shelling a makeshift hospital in Mullaittivu.
It said 66 civilians were killed during the past three days, a charge denied by the military.

Sri Lanka army seizes entire west coast
This is good news to people fighting Crazed Islamists All around the world , With luck and a well armed military You CAN fight these lunatics and take back your country ! sure it's not over for them yet ,but It's a hell of a start in the defeat of radical Islam
....
COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's military said troops seized the entire western coast of the Indian Ocean island on Saturday, capturing the key Pooneryn area where Tamil Tiger rebel artillery had kept soldiers at bay since 1993.
With the military controlling Pooneryn, a strategic spit of land that runs parallel to the neck of the northern Jaffna Peninsula across a narrow lagoon, it will be in a position to strike the rebel capital of Kilinochchi from three sides.
In one of Asia's longest-running insurgencies, at least 70,000 people have been killed in Sri Lanka since 1983.
"We have completely taken over Pooneryn. We have gone up to the town, and control the roads from Pooneryn to Paranthan," military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.
The Defense Ministry said troops had encountered stiff resistance as they fought through marshlands south of Pooneryn and across the Paranthan junction overnight.
The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) had no immediate comment.
Previously, the LTTE had used heavy artillery to prevent two army divisions garrisoned on Jaffna, in army hands since 1995, from moving south to Kilinochchi.
"We didn't find any artillery, because they must have taken those pieces away or hidden them," Nanayakkara said. Saturday's capture came after months of heavy fighting on the west coast.
The announcement also coincided with the second reading of Rajapaksa's proposed 2009 budget in parliament, which includes record defense spending of 177.06 billion rupees ($1.61 billion).
On Saturday, Rajapaksa reiterated a surrender offer he gave the Tigers last week after they called for a ceasefire.
A 2002 truce, poorly observed by both sides, ended when the government threw it out and accused LTTE leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran of using it to re-arm.
"My clear message to Prabhakaran and the LTTE is to lay down their arms and come forward for discussions with us forthwith," Rajapaksa said on Saturday. "The laying down of their arms is the greatest service the LTTE could do for ... Sri Lanka."
That is a highly unlikely prospect because Prabhakaran -- who made suicide bombing an effective weapon of war long before al Qaeda did -- orders his fighters to take cyanide in case of capture and is rumoured to carry a cyanide capsule himself.
Control of Pooneryn means that, for the first time since 1993, the government controls a land route all the way to a ferry that can easily bring supplies to Jaffna.
It will also ease military supply lines while cutting off Tiger routes, Colombo-based defense analyst Iqbal Athas said."From their secret bases in Tamil Nadu, the Tigers will not be able to bring war material into the western coast," Athas said, referring to the nearby Tamil-majority state across the Palk Strait in India.
Athas said it foreshadowed a brutal battle for Kilinochchi, the capture of which would give the military strategic and morale gains while energising Rajapaksa's political base.
"Capturing Pooneryn is very significant, but now they have a more responsible task of securing the areas captured," he said. "The rebels are throwing all they have to secure Kilinochchi."
The LTTE, on U.S., EU and Indian terrorism lists, says it is fighting for a separate homeland for minority Sri Lankan Tamils. Many Tamils complain governments led by the Sinhalese majority since independence from Britain in 1948 have sidelined them.
