And he says he's forming a new group: Democracy is Dead.

What a dipwad this guy Choudary is. His group Islam4UK has just been banned, his website has been taken down, he bites the hand that feeds him as he lives on the UK dole and now he's advocating a military coup to implement Sharia in the UK.

“Seriously ... I don’t think I need to leave Britain; I think that we can live here and propagate Islam and one day we will implement the sharia here.” He is vague about the time frame but more specific about the method. “Public awareness and possibly a military coup,” he says.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday, East London-based Choudary, 42, said: “The Government’s decision to ban Islam4UK is a very dangerous one as it will only increase the potential for some very nasty conflict. You only have to look at what happened between Bosnia and Serbia at Srebrenica. There could be a bloodbath on the streets."

“I don’t think the British people want that but, when you start to suppress ideological movements, you push them underground and there is more chance of conflict. The Government has created a tinderbox situation by banning us. We were the ones calming things down.” (Ed. Note: That's a joke. He's come a long way from his beer swilling, pot smoking, porn ogling days, hasn't he.)

UK may ban Islamist march in military memorial town

This should be good , especially if Islam4uk does hold a march and are banned from doing so .
Either way , Islam4uk will have a major hissy fit over this , and it can only help confirm the fact that Islam and its Radical fringe are not good for the rest of the world .

LONDON (reuters) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said on Monday he was appalled that an Islamist group planned to march through a town renowned for honoring British troops killed in Afghanistan.
Any attempt to distress the families of dead soldiers would be "abhorrent and offensive," he said in a statement.

Home Secretary Alan Johnson said the proposed march through Wootton Bassett in southwest England filled him with "revulsion" and he would grant a ban on the march on public order grounds if police and the local authority sought one.

Mourners regularly line the streets of Wootton Bassett as the coffins of troops pass through the town from a nearby airforce base which receives the bodies of British soldiers flown back from Afghanistan.

Islamist activist Anjem Choudary said his organization Islam4UK intended to hold the procession to highlight the deaths of "innocent Muslim men, women and children" who had been killed in the conflict.

Islam4UK seeks the introduction of sharia law in Britain has links to Islmaist militant leader Omar Bakri Mohammed who has been banned from entering Britain. The group's website gave no indication of when the march would take place.

Some 246 British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the invasion to oust the Taliban in 2001.

A protest last March by Choudary's supporters in Luton, north of London, against soldiers returning from Iraq led to widespread condemnation.

A facebook page set up to oppose the Wootton Bassett procession has already attracted almost 180,000 supporters.

Anjem Choudary, whose supporters hurled abuse at soldiers from the Royal Anglian regiment returning from Afghanistan last week, can be heard on a website calling for other Muslims not to save money for their families but to give it to "mujahideen" - holy warriors - instead.

The term is usually used to refer to fighters "defending Muslim lands" such as Afghanistan and Iraq, who are prepared to die as martyrs.

Pakistan seeks way out of crisis, detentions multiply

ISLAMABAD, March 13 (Reuters) - Pakistan's year-old civilian government sought a compromise to appease opposition leaders and a lawyers movement on Friday as police detained hundreds of activists in a bid to stifle a nationwide protest.

A protest by lawyers and opposition parties for an independent judiciary threatens to bring political turmoil and comes as President Asif Ali Zardari's government is struggling to check rising Islamist militancy and to revive a sinking economy.

Black-suited lawyers and flag-waving opposition activists launched a so-called long march from the cities of Karachi and Quetta on Thursday, and aim to reach Islamabad on Monday.

The government has tried to foil the protest with detentions, bans on rallies, and road blocks, while at the same time looking for a way to avert a showdown that could become violent.

Under a compromise Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani is pushing, Zardari has agreed to yield ground to opposition demands, according to a presidential aide, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The protesters are demanding the reinstatement of former Supreme Court chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, who was dismissed by former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf in 2007.

Zardari has refused to reinstate the judge, seeing him as a threat to his own position, but the presidential aide said under the proposed compromise a constitutional court and an appellate court would be set up and Chaudhry would head one.

Nawaz Sharif, a former prime minister, has backed the lawyers, putting him into open confrontation with Zardari.

"We still believe there is a way out, we still believe that the elected prime minister of Pakistan should play his role," Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a senior leader in Sharif's party, told reporters in Islamabad.

"We even believe that options and space are available for Mr. Zardari to re-think, to come back from the brink," he said.

'Wearing poppies against shariah'

A hate preacher sparked outrage last night by urging British Muslims not to wear poppies.

Anjem Choudary said any Muslim who wore the symbol of respect was betraying his religion and backing “British nationalism”.

Choudary, a right-hand man of exiled cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed, 47, was responding to news that poppy sales were down in areas of the country with a high population of Muslims.

But Choudary, 41, said: “This is not something we should be supporting. We are not sanctioned to support poppies by the Sharia law.

“We’re talking about the Second World War and this doesn’t have anything to do with Muslims.

Muslims are not allowed to participate in anything that is clearly British nationalism.” The call comes days after Choudary, whose family lives on £25,000-a-year benefits, warned British Muslims that giving sweets to children on Halloween is “the greatest crime any person can commit”.

Undercover Sun investigators secretly recorded Choudary telling a young and impressionable audience that

they would eventually rule under strict Sharia law.

Britain is well on it's way

Lawyer Choudary also said it would be easy for vast numbers of Muslims to declare Jihad, or holy war, against Britain — and that every one of them could become “a time bomb waiting to go off”.

The Sun team watched vile Choudary, the right-hand man of exiled preacher of hate Omar Bakri, ranting to 100 young Muslims at a meeting in East London.

The mob bayed and cheered as he said: “About 500 people in Britain become Muslim every day.

“The Home Office say there are 1.5million Muslims but there were 1.5million ten years ago. Since then our brothers in Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and other places have had eight or nine children each. Eight children here, ten children, 15 children. There must be at least six million people.

“It may be by pure conversion that Britain will become an Islamic state. We may never need to conquer it from the outside.”

He roared: “We do not integrate into Christianity. We will ensure that one day you will integrate into the Sharia Islamic law. Our eyes are on Downing Street.”

He went on: “That is why the British are so afraid. It would be easy for us to declare Jihad in Britain and each one of us could become a time-bomb waiting to go off. But we are not people who betray.”
