The Justice Department said it is the federal government's role to enforce federal immigration laws, not local governments.
Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement that "a patchwork of immigration laws is not the answer and will only create further problems in our immigration system."
So another Law set out by a State to help combat the flood of Illegal Immigrants within the U.S. is attacked by The Obama Administration.
Its not up to the States to do anything, it is up to the Feds; yet the feds do not do anything past the reaches of the border.
Honestly, what is the issue with checking an I.D.? Really, who does it hurt; you are supposed to have some form of Identification on you letting authorities know who you are, so whats the big deal?
If you are arrested for a serious crime do you have the right to keep your identity hidden? hell no.
I find it amazing and utterly mindnumbing that this is always a problem for Liberals; Illegal Immigrant? you can not ask for their I.D,
Voting in an election for the President of the U.S. nope, no I.D. required here either (If you are an Immigrant)
I HAVE TO SHOW A DAMNED I.D. TO VOTE, to show that I am a registered voter ! so should everyone else.
But the U.S. justice Department, the Libtards, and the Obummer Administration seem to feel that showing a simple I.D disenfranchises illegal immigrants, and potential voters.

The Department of Justice and other agencies filed a complaint Tuesday in Salt Lake City that challenges Utah's immigration law, saying the state violates the U.S. Constitution due to its attempt to establish a state-specific immigration policy.
The department said the law mandates enforcement measures that can disrupt immigration practices by the federal government in the area. The Justice Department also expressed concern that, under the law, individuals could potentially be harassed and wrongfully detained, according to a statement.
This is the second lawsuit filed against the law. Civil rights groups filed a lawsuit earlier this year, and a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order in May against House Bill 497. That bill requires people arrested for serious crimes to prove their citizenship but gives police discretion to check citizenship for lesser crimes.
Similar lawsuits have taken aim at immigration enforcement in states like Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina.

Justice Department Launches Criminal Probe Into Deaths During CIA Interrogations
If the first few times you don't succeed try and try again!
It really seems as though the ultimate douche Eric Holder will not completely relax about anything that happened during The Bush Administration.
Foxnews
The Justice Department is moving forward with criminal investigations relating to CIA interrogations of two detainees who died in the agency's custody.
The decision, announced Thursday by Attorney General Eric Holder, is the result of a nearly two-year preliminary review into the Bush-era interrogations by prosecutor John Durham. Though the secretive probe has drawn fierce criticism from Republicans since it began, Holder reiterated Thursday that he will not abandon it.
In a statement, Holder said the review looked mostly at "whether any unauthorized interrogation techniques were used by CIA interrogators, and if so, whether such techniques could constitute violations of the torture statute or any other applicable statute."
Though the review now triggers a full investigation into two deaths, Holder indicated Justice would drop its review of the other cases.
"Mr. Durham and his team reviewed a tremendous volume of information pertaining to the detainees. ... Mr. Durham has advised me of the results of his investigation, and I have accepted his recommendation to conduct a full criminal investigation regarding the death in custody of two individuals. Those investigations are ongoing," Holder said. "The department has determined that an expanded criminal investigation of the remaining matters is not warranted." ...
Rahman died in the early hours of Nov. 20, 2002 after being shackled to a cold cement wall in a secret CIA prison in northern Kabul, Afghanistan, known as the Salt Pit. He was suspected of links to the terrorist group Al Qaeda.
Al-Jamadi died in 2003 at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The death has been known to the public for years and a military autopsy declared al-Jamadi's death a homicide.

Plea deal likely for Pantybomber?
That's the rumor - not like we didn't see this coming a mile away from the 'roll over and play dhimmi" Obama justice department...
From the Washington Post:
Public defenders for the Nigerian student are engaged in negotiations that could result in an agreement to share more information and eventually a guilty plea, the sources said.
Negotiations could still collapse before the next scheduled court date, in April, the sources said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. But senior members of the administration's national security apparatus have publicly said that a plea deal is likely, given the virtual life sentence that Abdulmutallab could face on charges of using an airplane as a weapon of mass destruction.
Miriam Siefer, a federal public defender in Detroit, declined to comment on the case this week, as did a Justice Department spokesman in Washington.
What kind of sentence could he receive in exchange? We can look to Shoebomber Richard Reid, who pled guilty and received a life sentence with special restrictions but the Obama Justice Department relaxed those restrictions last year.
Reid was placed under tight restrictions known as Special Administrative Measures (SAMs) that were renewed each year on the ground that his interactions with others posed a "substantial risk" of resulting in death or serious injury to them.
But last June Attorney General Eric Holder allowed the security directives to expire following a 2007 civil lawsuit by Reid in which he claimed that SAMs violated his First Amendment right of free speech and free exercise of religion.
He said the restrictions prevented him from practicing his Sunni Muslim faith or to learn Arabic, order books and magazines, watch television news and speak to anyone except his family and lawyers. He was moved out of isolation in August, but he was subjected to new restrictions that barred him from writing to anyone except his immediate family and lawyer.

Where the hell is the High Value Detainee Interrogation Group?
For the record...
From Charles Krauthammer:
We have since learned that the decision to mirandize Abdulmutallab had been made without the knowledge of or consultation with (1) the secretary of defense, (2) the secretary of homeland security, (3) the director of the FBI, (4) the director of the National Counterterrorism Center or (5) the director of national intelligence (DNI).
The Justice Department acted not just unilaterally but unaccountably. Obama's own DNI said that Abdulmutallab should have been interrogated by the HIG, the administration's new High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group.
Perhaps you hadn't heard the term. Well, in the very first week of his presidency, Obama abolished by executive order the Bush-Cheney interrogation procedures and pledged to study a substitute mechanism. In August, the administration announced the establishment of the HIG, housed in the FBI but overseen by the National Security Council.
Where was it during the Abdulmutallab case? Not available, admitted National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair, because it had been conceived for use only abroad. Had not one person in this vast administration of highly nuanced sophisticates considered the possibility of a terror attack on American soil?
It gets worse. Blair later had to explain that the HIG was not deployed because it does not yet exist. After a year!

Senators Urge Administration to Transfer Alleged Bomber to Military Custody
"Though the president has said repeatedly that we are at war, it does not appear to us that the president's words are reflected in the actions of some in the executive branch, including some at the Department of Justice,"
It's Disgusting when you look at it that way .
But that is how it seems , it appears that some people , In and around this Administration are in a big hurry to give all the rights of an American citizen , to Members of Al Qaida and their sympathizers !
Who came here to do us HARM !

Two top senators urged the Obama administration on Monday to transfer the suspect in the failed Christmas Day airline bombing to the Pentagon, blasting the Justice Department for reading him his Miranda rights and treating him like a common criminal.
Two top senators urged the Obama administration on Monday to transfer the suspect in the failed Christmas Day airline bombing to the Pentagon, blasting the Justice Department for reading him his Miranda rights and treating him like a common criminal.
Citing reports that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was "speaking openly about the attack" and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's involvement in it before he was read his Miranda rights, Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins said that reading the suspect his rights shortly after his arrest was an opportunity lost.
Lieberman, I-Conn., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Collins, R-Maine, the committee's ranking Republican, said officials would be able to continue interrogating Abdulmutallab and try him before a military commission if they treat him as an enemy combatant.
"The decision to treat Abdulmutallab as a criminal rather than (an unprivileged enemy belligerent) almost certainly prevented the military and the intelligence community from obtaining information that would have been critical to learning more about how our enemy operates and to preventing future attacks," the senators wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and counterterrorism adviser John Brennan.
(an unprivileged enemy belligerent)
WTF ? A little more of that PC I'm going to rename a terrorist game , Kind of makes it sound like it is not there fault they are Beligerent ?
