U.S. Defeats Brazil in Dramatic Women's World Cup Game

Not a big soccer fan, but congratulations to the U.S. women's team on beating Brazil.
Two more games to go for them.
Good Luck.

Foxnews
DRESDEN, Germany -- An hour after the game, Abby Wambach was still at a loss for words.

Amazing. Riveting. Dramatic.

Take your pick, any one of them will do.

The Americans are into the semifinals after one of the most thrilling games in the history of the World Cup -- men's or women's -- beating Brazil 5-3 on penalty kicks after a 2-2 tie. Wambach tied it with a magnificent, leaping header in the 122nd minute, and goalkeeper Hope Solo denied the Brazilians again.

"I'm at a loss and I literally cannot believe what just happened," Wambach said. "But we've got two games left.

Suspect says rage at U.S. led him to plot Ugandan bombs

"I was reluctant to pick on Ugandans. My rage was with the Americans whom I deemed responsible for all the suffering of Muslims around the world ...

Ah Yes , the Blame America for everything so that your Muslim Brothers will understand why you Killed all your own people with your Suicide and remote Detonated Bombs , Trick !

How did that work out for you , DoucheBag ?

P.S.

the World !

It just makes me laugh !

(Reuters) - One of the suspected masterminds of last month's bomb attacks on Uganda's capital Kampala said on Thursday his anger at the United States spurred his involvement in the plot, adding that it was intended to kill Americans.

Issa Ahmed Luyima, 33, a former librarian, was one of four Ugandan suspects paraded in front of journalists by the east African nation's Chieftancy of Military Intelligence (CMI) before he made a public confession.

"I was reluctant to pick on Ugandans. My rage was with the Americans whom I deemed responsible for all the suffering of Muslims around the world ... we thought they are the ones who planted the TGF (interim government) in Somalia," Luyima said.

He said he regretted the loss of Ugandan lives when three bombs ripped through a bar at a rugby club and an Ethiopian restaurant where soccer fans were watching the World Cup final on July 11.

failed World Cup footballers undergo public mauling

Imagine that , the North Korean World Cup Team was Publicly scolded for 6 hours for failing to win .

The Norks are just plain whacked , it is a good thing they aren't Muslim , they probably would have been Beheaded .

Guardian U.k.
England's failed footballers should count themselves lucky that their ignominious World Cup exit was met with little more than a public mauling by the media.

Their counterparts from North Korea, who lost all three of their group games, have been subjected to a six-hour excoriation for "betraying" the communist nation's ideological struggle, according to reports.

There are even fears for the safety of the team coach, Kim Jung-hun, who was accused of betraying the son and heir of the regime's "dear leader," Kim Jong-il.

Early this month the players were summoned to an auditorium at the working people's culture palace in Pyongyang, forced onstage and subjected to a six-hour barrage of criticism for their poor performances in South Africa, according to the US-based Radio Free Asia.

Only Jung Tae-se and An Yong-hak were spared a dressing down as they flew directly to Japan, their country of birth and where they play club football, according to an unnamed Chinese businessman the station cites as its source.

The "grand debate" was reportedly witnessed by 400 athletes and sports students, and the country's sports minister. Ri Dong-kyu, a sports commentator for the North's state-run Korean Central TV, led the reprimands, pointing out the shortcomings of each player, South Korean media said.

In true Stalinist style, the players were then "invited" to mount verbal attacks on their coach, Jung-hun.

Some 70 others were injured by the explosions, which hit a rugby club and an Ethiopian restaurant as football fans watched the World Cup final.

North Korean soccer team playing against cenorship

If the North Korean soccer team doesn't win a game during the World Cup in South Africa, then North Korean media will not even mention the games according to several observers.

The North Koreans have even hired 1000 Chinese fans to cheer for them at the World Cup. I guess Dear Rheader doesn't want from North Korea to see their team humiliated at the World Cup. National Post

The North Koreans are bound to suffer a questionable defeat on Tuesday due to unforeseeable circumstances and unbelievably bad luck — but their exploits will shine for all ages thanks to their valiant hearts, which beat in tune with the Dear Leader’s.

Either that or the North Korean media won’t report at all on the game against perennial World Cup favourite Brazil, say observers.

“All of the media is censored in North Korea, so a serious defeat is not going to be taken very kindly,” said Erich Weingartner, who distributed food aid from Pyongyang in the late 1990s, becoming the first Canadian to achieve resident status in North Korea.[...]

“I would think it won’t be reported at all,” said Mr. Weingartner, who edits The CanKor Report, a journal focusing on North Korean issues and policy. “I think they’ll wait to see if they do any better against some other team. Except for the few North Koreans who somehow have access to South Korean media, no one will know the difference.”
