When I first saw a report on this on a local station (KRON4, San Francisco), They talked about the militarization of space, the US "making a statement", and ridiculed the idea that the government might have a legitimate reason for doing this. No mention of a tank full of unburnt rocket fuel, or how hazardous that stuff is.
ya, they'll always find an angle to beat the military with. This was a mission that killed two birds with one stone. Destroy the hazardous material and test out the stage 3 missile.
