I just learned that the US State Department classified al-Shabaab as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, under Executive Order 13224. What does that mean? Well, for one thing it means that it is illegal for any US company to provide goods/services to this group or face fines up to $250000, under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
Well what do you know? Al-Shabaab has a website which is hosted by an American Company. I think it should be time to inform the company that they are in violation of the IEEPA. You may contact the company with the contact info below:

I've taken your advise and sent a complaint to the company. We'll see if anything happens.
Yeah hopefully. WE've been trying to take this site down for a while now. The hosting company has been pretty stubborn about taking the site down.
Report them to tips.fbi.gov and to the State Department.
I've submitted this:
US DNS registrar and Web hosting company dotster is possibly in violation of Executive Order 13224 by providing DNS registration and Web hosting (domain name: kataaib.net) for the Foreign Terrorist Organization Al-Shabaab (http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2008/mar/102338.htm).
I request that you investigate this company and, if they are found to be in violation of Federal law, to hinder and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
to both tips.fbi.gov and to dotster's contact form.
