When worshippers were leaving the mosque a bomb went off and killed at least 8 people and injured dozens more. BBC
At least eight people have been killed and many hurt in a blast at a mosque in Yemen, security sources and police say.
The blast hit worshippers leaving the mosque in the northern city of Saada. The cause is unknown, but one local official said a bomb had gone off.
Reports of casualties varied. A local governor said 35 had been hurt, while medical sources told Reuters news agency 100 people were in hospital.
The area has been the site of a Shia rebellion.
Hundreds of people have been killed in clashes since a conflict between pro-government forces and rebels loyal to leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi broke out in 2004.
