Maintenance Workers Released After Nuke Scare

Swedish authorities are still searching the 2nd reacter for any signs of TATP explosives while the 2 men suspected of sabatoge were released today. Police searched the homes of the suspects but found nothing suspicious. Swedish authorities will hold a press conference later on today. Reuters

TATP explosives are a favourite among amateur pyros and terrorists such as suicide bombers, Richard Reid (Shoe Bomber) and, the 05 London terror attack.


STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Swedish police said on Thursday they had released two men who had been held on suspicion of planning to sabotage a nuclear power station.

Police detained two contract workers on Wednesday after one of them was stopped in a security check at the Oskarshamn nuclear plant, on the southeast coast of Sweden, with traces of a highly explosive material thought to be TATP.
