Some good news. Abdullah Khadr, the elder brother of Omar Khadr, is denied bail. His defense lawyers had asked that Khadr be released on $500000 bail and for him to work at a local mosque. The Globe & Mail

TORONTO -- A Canadian judge has denied bail to the eldest male member of the Khadr family, saying he is dangerous and his family members generally not credible. At the same time, however, the judge rejected a Crown suggestion that a Scarborough mosque frequented by the family is a hotbed of terrorism.
Abdullah Khadr, 27, has been jailed in Toronto since he returned to Canada in 2005, fighting extradition on a U.S. warrant that alleges he sold arms to al-Qaeda while living in Pakistan. He will remain jailed for the foreseeable future.
"Mr. Khadr is alleged to be an arms supplier for al-Qaeda," Mr. Justice Gary Trotter writes in a 25-page Ontario Superior Court decision released late Tuesday. "... I am hard pressed to think of a more serious set of offences."
But Crown lawyers argued Mr. Ibrahim or any Salaheddin official was unsuitable as a bail surety, given that several prominent terrorism suspects have prayed at the mosque.
Judge Trotter, while upholding that Mr. Khadr was unsuitable for release, also found the Crown overreached in its arguments concerning the mosque.
"I accept that, over the years, there may have been persons involved in questionable activities with questionable associations, who have passed through the centre from time to time," Judge Trotter wrote. "In my view this in itself is not sufficient to taint the centre in any way."

I love the smell of terrorist scumbags being denied bail in the mornings.
This is good news.
Sit and rot, sucker.
Another member of the KHADR KLAN in jail! Do you think there's any connection between Abdullah and his brother Omar? Their lawyers and supporters would have you beleive that it is a mere coincidence. But we know better than that, don't we! From AHMED (father killed in Afghanistan -fighting for the Taliban) to ABDULLAH (awaiting extradition) to ABDURAHMAN (released from gitmo to Afghanistan 2003)and finally to KARIM (paralyzed in the same firefight that killed his father!)OOPS I forgot to include everybody"s favorite Khadr....OMAR! Now that the judicial system has wised up to this bunch, don't you think it's time for the media to probe more deeply into the backgrounds of all these KHADRs and report the truth to the Canadian public? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!
