Palestinians Continue to Fight Amongst Themselves

The Palestinians have two defacto states which they can't afford to upkeep and what do they do? They fight amongst themselves. Maybe if they focused on building a prosperous country they wouldn't have these problems they have today. CBC

At least four Palestinians are dead and scores wounded after a battle in Gaza City between Fatah supporters and police from the hard-line Islamist group Hamas.

The police said they were trying to arrest a group of men suspected of organizing a beachside bombing that killed six people last week in Gaza, but Fatah members called the raid political victimization.

Iris Mackler, reporting for the CBC from Jerusalem, said the latest shootout began when Hamas security forces raided the stronghold of the Hilles clan early Saturday. Police said the clan was hiding suspected bombers in its compound.

Hamas forces stormed several high-rise buildings and arrested gunmen, rooftop snipers and wounded fighters, police spokesman Islam Shahwan said.

"We will not allow anyone to breach the law and violate the rules," he said. "This is what the Palestinian police do in order to deter these people and to restore calm until they are brought to trial and to justice."

But they continuely allow terrorist groups to fire rockets/motars indiscriminately into Israel.
