Israel Wiped Off World Map Sold at Ikea Store

An Ikea store in Abu Dhabi sold world maps and each and every one of the maps had Israel blacked out. Ikea is treating it as "vandelism" but this is clearly something more. AM640

An investigation by AM640 News led to the discovery of a series of world maps sold at a location in Abu Dhabi, that had Israel blacked out from every single one, including those already boxed.

After in initial inquiry, Ikea Canada spokesperson Madeline Lowenborg-Frick confirmed that the maps were 'vandelized'.

"It's absolutely unacceptable, it's not consistent with our values and we instantaneously sale stopped the item".

Lowenborg-Frick went on, "we take these allegations very seriously and we take these actions very seriously and yes, there will be someone looking into what happened."

Lowenborg-Frick says the company is treating this as in isolated incident because there are no reports that anything like this has happened at any other Ikea location.
