Muslims Should be Included in Police Raids in India

A muslim umbrella group, Coordination Committee of Indian Muslims (CCIM), in India is demanding that all future police operations in muslim localities must include at least one third muslim officers. The group claims that India's police are terrorizing the muslim population and the Batla House was just the latest example.

I wonder why these groups always slam efforts to stop terrorism but never actually slam/fight against terrorism themselves. Times of India

NEW DELHI: When the police undertake a combing or search operation in any Muslim locality, at least one-third of the raiding party must consist of officers belonging to the minority community. Minority leaders of the affected area should be taken into confidence and made a part of the inquiry and interrogation teams. There should be a high-level judicial inquiry into the Batla House encounter. These were some of the demands made by the Coordination Committee of Indian Muslims (CCIM), an umbrella assemblage of various Muslim bodies in the city.

‘‘Such actions will restore some credibility to the police and security agencies,’’ said Mujtaba Farooq, who was representing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at the press conference.

‘‘The Muslim community in general and the Muslim youths in particular are being targeted in the name of fighting terrorism. While security agencies should go about their work to secure the country from terror, make inquiries and arrest the accused as well as suspects, these must not take place in an intimidating and insensitive manner. We are opposed to the insensitive style of police functioning that creates terror and panic in Muslim localities. We condemn the security and intelligence agencies rushing to the media after any such incident with theories and conclusions before any real and proper investigation,’’ the release said.
See, muslims are the real victims here.

Such action will also give the allah howlers advance notice of any impending raid, similar to the demands made by their British brethren.
