3 Deaths Reported in Ministry Blast in Kabul

With the Taliban and some other leaders around the world looking at the Possibility of "peace" talk's , I would think that another suicide bombing would hinder that process! but everyone wants to still talk ?
With a little effort from Pakistan and Afghanistan ,the Taliban could be destroyed ,but they seem to want to cower under the oppression that the Taliban has to offer!
stuff like this should be the reason Not to talk , instead of the reason to talk!

The New York Times
KABUL, Afghanistan — An explosion tore through the Ministry of Information and Culture in central Kabul on Thursday morning, according to officials and witnesses.

Ali Shah Ahmadzai, the deputy police chief of Kabul, said at least three people were killed in the attack, The Associated Press reported. Twelve people were injured, according to the AP.

Part of one wall of the ministry was destroyed in the blast, which brought police and officials swarming around the front of the building, located on one of the busiest streets in the capital. Police said initially that a suicide bomber penetrated the building.

No one immediately took responsibility for the attack, which resembled many others carried out by militants fighting the government of President Hamid Karzai and his American-led backers.

While attacks in the capital are relatively rare, the resurgent Taliban _ overthrown in late 2001 by American-led forces _ has shown greater confidence in attacking in Kabul.

Earlier this month, the Taliban said its supporters shot to death a 34-year-old British aid worker in Kabul whom it accused of spreading Christianity.

The attacks are apparently designed to undermine the government at a time when the Afghan government and its allies in the region have begun approaching the Taliban and other insurgent groups with new intensity to test the possibilities for eventual peace talks, according to Western diplomats and Afghan officials here.

Agence France-Presse said the bomb, which exploded during a meeting of officials, killed five people and wounded many more. Television footage showed police outside the wreckage of a door and what appeared to be the cap of a police officer on the ground.
