British Teachers want Headscarves Banned

In a recent poll, nearly 50% of British teachers said schools should ban muslim headscares. They argue the headscares went against British values. The research also found that 70% of teachers agreed that one of their primary roles is to promote British values. Telegraph

Forty-six percent of primary and secondary school teachers suggested that allowing pupils to wear religious symbols went against British values.

They also feared it would undermine the drive to promote religious and racial harmony in schools.

The findings, in a poll carried out by YouGov, will fuel the controversial debate about the wearing of religious symbols in schools.

Currently, individual schools are free to make their own decisions, but a string of recent court ruling said some policies amounted to "unlawful discrimination".

Well, what do you know? Knock me over with a feather. I would have never expected this response.

My question is this: What exactly constitutes British values these days? (They seem to include Kissing Muslim you-know-what at every turn.)
