Muslim youths to advise UK Ministers

The British government has recruited 22 muslim youths to act as advisors to various key ministers. These youths will be communicating the concerns of the muslim community to the government and communicating the government's position to the muslim community. The government hopes this initiative will build "build strong, resilient communities" resistant to extremism.

This initiative will accomplish nothing but more accomodation. In selecting the 22 "advisors" did the government check to ensure that any one of these advisors does not hold any exremist/radical views? No, they didn't.

The 2005 suicide bombings in London wasn't in response to lack of access to the government. It's because England is a non-muslim country. BBC

A group of young British Muslims are being named as advisers to ministers as part of a drive against extremism.

The move comes as part of fresh plans to prevent radicalisation and address community concerns.

The 22 Muslims aged 16-25 will hold regular meetings with key ministers and civil servants.[...]

The advisers include students, undergraduates and a trainee lawyer.

Ministers are understood to be prepared to have frank conversations with the advisors over foreign policy and other issues playing a role in terrorism recruitment.

But it is unclear if the final group includes anyone who holds political views which would be unpalatable for government.
