SECURITY has been beefed up around Dannii Minogue and her fellow X Factor judges after an extreme Islamic cleric called the UK show anti-Muslim.

Syrian-born cleric Omar Bakri has sparked a full-blown terror alert after saying that even watching the show was a form of anti-Muslim hatred because it is releasing a charity single for injured British troops, The Sun newspaper reports.[...]

Bakri, 50, who is in Lebanon, told followers in a recording poted on a Muslim website: "Some Muslims in Birmingham are wearing the armbands in support of British troops in Afghanistan.

"This is a form of muadaat (hatred) of the kuffar (non-believers) against the Muslims . . . and it has dangerous implications," he said.

"If after three days, if they continue, you are barred from these people and their deeds. Even watching the show - those people are committing a form, a type, of muadaat (hatred). And that action is a form of kufr (non-belief)."
