Taiwan: SARS a biological weapon developed by China

Taiwan's security chief, Tsai Chao-ming, accused China of starting the SARS epidemic 6 years ago as part of a biological warfare campaign. However, he did not provide any concrete evidence to support his claims. During the epidemic inside sources from China indicated that SARS was a biological weapon developed by China. Reuters

TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan legislators wearing surgical masks and displaying skull-and-crossbones banners took over parliament's floor on Tuesday after the island's security chief accused China of starting the global SARS epidemic six years ago as part of a biological warfare campaign.

Taiwan National Security Bureau Director-General Tsai Chao-ming told a legislative committee on Monday that sources in China suspected biological warfare, but that conclusive evidence had not surfaced.

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome originated in southern China in 2002 and went on to kill hundreds of people around the world -- including about 350 in China -- bringing Asian tourism and air industries almost to a halt.
....
"In the 2003 SARS period, there were deaths and injuries, and in addition China hid the patient count, causing panic in people's hearts," the security bureau said in a statement.

"At that time insider information indicated that SARS was a biological weapon."

"BIOLOGICAL WARFARE"

Tsai told the committee that SARS had "become a biological warfare formula" in China and that the bureau would "continue to monitor the situation," local media said on Tuesday, splashing the story across TV screens and front pages.

I realize that Reuters is a "good" source, however, stories like this do nothing but cast doubt on those who propagate them. How do you feel about people who say AIDS was made by the USA to get rid of blacks and homosexuals? Because, at least the way I see it, this is exactly the same statement.

I would disagree. This story is not accusing China of developing SARS to get rid of any ethnic group.

The story is just stating that the security chief of Taiwan suspects that SARS is a Chinese biological weapon.

This has nothing to do with racism or anything of that nature.

This would not surprise me one bit !
A lot of times when a story gets thrown out there , there is some truth to it !
Saddam , used toxic gas's on his people ,killed about 5 Thousand , and there is a lot of evidence to prove it ,including eyewitnesses!
And still some people deny it !
