"Peace Scarves"

I need to rant a little bit here. Today while I was walking to the school library to study for my final (my very last evah) exam I noticed several girls wearing "peace scarves" or Keffiyehs. I must have seen about 4 girls wearing them in a span of about 10 minutes. Everywhere I go on campus I see naive/ignorant girls (and guys) wearing them. I even see people wearing the Keffiyehs at bars, coffe shops, book stores, gas stations, everywhere!!!!

Sometimes I just feel like ripping the scarf from their neck, and throwing it into a puddle of mud while stomping on it. Maybe one day I'll walk up to a person wearing a Keffiyeh and explain to them its origins. But even then, I don't think they would care.
