Great, just great. With 80% of NATO supplies for Afghanistan travelling via Pakistan, this is not good. None of the Pakistani logistical companies, that have been hired by NATO, are willing to transport any supplies because they are not willing to "take casualties or damage".
Since early this year NATO has been negotiating with Russia to transport its supplies for Afghanistan through Russia. NATO recognized a need for an alternate logistics route when Pakistan closed the Khyber Pass to NATO supplies in protest over a US Predator Drone attack that killed 10 Pakistani army guards. Also, equipment was damaged on delivery, supplies would go missing like 4 helicopters engines.
Now the taliban attacks on the logistics terminals and convoy have hastened the negotiations with the Russians. But this alternative logistics route will be far more costly for the war effort.
Its time to completely destroy the taliban and their allies where ever they are. And by that I mean go after them in Pakistan aka talistan. AKIKarachi, 15 Dec. (AKI) - By Syed Saleem Shahzad - Taliban attacks have completely halted the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's supplies travelling through Pakistan on their way to Afghanistan. In the past two weeks, 400 containers bound for the Afghan capital, Kabul, were destroyed by Taliban militants.
Militants on Saturday destroyed 11 trucks and 13 NATO containers in Peshawar, the capital of the North West Frontier Province, in their fourth attack in a week.
Local security forces have also been unable to provide adequate protection for the 11 container terminals in Peshawar because members are engaged in fighting the Taliban in the tribal regions.
“I can confirm that all the shipments have been stopped as nobody is ready to take casualties or damages," Zia ul-Haq Sarhadi, the Chairman of the standing committee for the dry port of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce (the chamber for NWFP), told Adnkronos International.

Why waste time, money, and effort shipping gear all the way to Afstan to hunt down jihadis, when we know they like to congregate around supply depots and convoys in Pakistan? What's the big deal? Get some drones, missiles, and bombers on them where we find them.
Pakistan doesn't like it? Uhh, fuck'em.
