Al Shabaab captures Somalia's parliament

As soon as the Ethopian troops had left, al Shabaab was able to capture an old granary in Baidoa that served as Somalia's parliament. Shiek Mutar Robow Abu Mansuur, spokesperson for al Shabaab, said that they "will rule this town by the Sharia (Islamic law) because we do not accept governing the country other than by Islam,"

This is a message to the losers of al Shabaab, if you guys are looking for a new domain for your defunct website, try this one. CBC

Fighters from the al-Shabaab group moved into Baidoa, about 250 kilometres from the capital Mogadishu, capturing an old granary serving as the legislature, as well as occupying the airport, and fighting their way towards the home of the country's acting president, Reuters and the BBC reported.

Al-Shabaab, the armed wing of a coalition of rebel groups known as the Islamic Court Union, was still engaged in fierce fighting with local militia as government officials fled the city, witnesses said.
