Mr. Arar denied the claim yesterday. "It was shocking," he told Canadian media. "I have to tell you for a week at least I've been in a deep depression."
Maybe Arar will swindle another $10 million from the Canadian government for depression. Cry me a river.

I followed the Arar Inquiry and the media refused to report on some damning evidece for his Globe Trotting to Terrorist producing nations and his Gun permit from 1993.
But the real scam is right on Arar own website , he still posts his Lawsuit against JORDAN where he details his 2003 version of events .
Arars' lawsuit asserts that he was refused entry to the USA at JFK airport while flying by himself from Tunisia where he fled and left his family behind, he claims that only JORDAN would allow him a flight back to meet his wife and kids to return to canada.
He says that the USA send him to Jordan and NOT Syria , he says he was Tortured in Jordan and later on Jordanians took him to Syria because he was a Draft Dodger to be tried in a Military Court.
He was never Deported to Syria as his Lawyers spun to fool the MSM , he also didn't tell us that he had a second Home near the Boston Airport prior to 9/11/01 , and now we see that CAIR-Canada it linked to Hamas even though CAIR suppiled the wirnesses for the Arar inquiry and started his $400 million dollar lawsuit against us taxpayers.
Has anyone ever wondered why Maher Arar didn't show up for the Inquiry named after him????
Why does he now want a Passport to go to the Shariah law Saudi Arabs with his family?
Why did Jack Layton recruit Arars' wife to run for the NDP in 2006 in the Ottawa ridding with Arabs and Muslims know for being Anti-USA/Israel?
Has anyone read even one article about the Arar's smuggling in a laptop which was discovered by Border Customs but Arar would
not give the Password to view the drive?
go to www.maherarar.ca and click on the Menu item "Documentation" , then look down to the 3rd item for his 'November 2003 filing against Jordan' , open the PDF and scroll down to item #32. and read on from there to his claims the JORDAN tortured him and not solely Syria as his lawyer claimed.
Even the CBC's original archive interview with Arar details how well he was treated by the USA and got a private jet with good food to fly him to Jordan.
Is the media living in fear of Jihad if they tell the truth, or are they so stupid they don't research things anymore and get the facts from the Internet.
