Iran tests new missile

Iran has apparently tested a new version of their Sajjil surface to surface missile. The rocket has a range of about 1200 miles and could hit Israel, Southern Europe and US forces in the region. My Way

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran test-fired a new advanced missile Wednesday with a range of about 1,200 miles, far enough to strike Israel, southeastern Europe and U.S. bases in the Middle East.[...]

"Defense Minister (Mostafa Mohammad Najjar) has informed me that the Sajjil-2 missile, which has very advanced technology, was launched from Semnan and it landed precisely on the target," state radio quoted Ahmadinejad as saying. He spoke during a visit to the city of Semnan, 125 miles east of the capital Tehran, where Iran's space program is centered.[...]

The solid-fuel Sajjil-2 surface-to-surface missile is a new version of the Sajjil missile, which Iran said it had successfully tested late last year with a similar range.
Yeah, the missile test the Mullahcracy had to photoshop.

Well, while this news is worth taking seriously, I don't think it's worth taking -that- seriously. After all, we already have better technology. Whether or not we'd use it is another question, but at least we know we have it.

However, “An Israeli official said on Tuesday that Israel will be forced to take on Iran's contentious nuclear program alone once U.S. President Barack Obama's overture for dialogue with Tehran fails.” (Haaretz as quoted by Newsy)

Also from Newsy, the head of the CIA has said, “if Israel were to independently attack Iran it would lead to 'big trouble.'"
