The Mexican army arrested a group of suspected
kidnappers and rescued an 18-year-old woman who was forced into
prostitution at a clandestine massage parlor in Juárez, a military
spokesman said Sunday.
The woman, who her mother said was
kidnapped about 10 days ago, was found by her brothers who then
contacted the military for help, said Enrique Torres, spokesman for
Joint Operation Chihuahua.
Saturday evening, soldiers arrested
suspected kidnappers Ruben Acosta Aguilera, 29, Adrian Alfonso
Alvarado, 23, and Joel Castillo Diaz, 19. The identity of a fourth man
will be released today, Torres said.
No other women were located. An investigation continues.
The flood of homicides continued during the weekendwith nine killings Saturday and at least two deaths early Sunday,
raising the death toll to nearly 200 people slain this month in the
Juárez area.
