Juárez violence continues as alleged hit men caught

There have been nearly 250 homicides this month with more than 1,360 deaths so far this year.

That would be Deaths in the Jaurez area alone !
It is like a war zone in Jaurez , the murder rate is greater than it is in a lot of other "Conflicts" Around the World ! But still it is treated like it were Nothing !

Seven hit men accused in 36 homicides in Juárez have been captured by the Mexican army, federal and military authorities said Tuesday.

Despite the arrests, another 24 killings were reported Monday and Tuesday by Juárez authorities.

The suspected hit men, or sicarios, are accused of committing deadly mass shootings at nightspots and other "executions" linked to organized crime, the Mexico attorney general's office and military officials said.

Despite the arrests, the violence continued to rage.

There were at least 13 homicides Monday and by Tuesday evening there were at least 11 more deaths, including five young men killed in one incident in east Juárez.

Also Tuesday, Chihuahua state investigators said Maribel Samaniego Morales, 36, who some television stations reported was an El Pasoan, was actually a resident of the town of Guadalupe in the violent Valley of Juárez.

Samaniego was fatally shot with an AK-47 by an assailant on Saturday in the village of El Millon while in a sport utility vehicle with Texas plates.

There were 1,600 murders last year when a war began among drug-trafficking groups for control of smuggling routes and even street- level drug dealing.
