This is the latest news article I've been able to find on Noor's condition. Sadly, her status does not appear to have changed. Even more sad, they haven't been able to find dear old dad.

One thing that is changing (at least in this article) is the narrative. Instead of dear old dad running her over because of Noor's becoming "too Westernized" - an actual quote from family members I might add, now 'Disapproving dad' mowed her down in a parking lot because of her 'lifestyle' and did you know? Killing your daughter is now a 'tribal' custom.
The article goes on to consult with a local Arizona state sociology professor. He claims that honor killings occur everywhere, why even in APPALACHIA, like that makes it all okay or something. He does mention that the majority of honor killings happen in the Middle East and South Asian countries but neglects to highlight their overwhelming Islamic component. Nobody wants to talk about that angle...
