Venezuela denies it is a base for Iran

<---Love makes you do crazy things.

Venezuela is denying Israel's deputy foreign minister's, Danny Ayalon, claims that Venezuela is a base for Iran. However, if you look consider some recent news concerning Venezuela and Iran it becomes quite clear that Ayalon's comments are smack on target.

Chavez 'jokes' about helping Iran build nukes, Venezuela sends uranium to Iran, Turkey seizes suspicious Iranian cargo destined for Venezuela, Mossad worried Hizbollah might kidnap Israeli businessmen in Venezuela. You can decide for yourself whether Venezuela is a base for Iran.

From Telegraph

The foreign ministry in Caracas condemned what it called "aggression against its people" after comments by Danny Ayalon, the Israeli deputy foreign minister, about Tehran's influence in the region.

He described Venezuela as Iran's leading ally in South America.

The remarks were a "sign of the vile, meddling and aggressive attitude" of Israel, the Venezuelan statement said.

Venezuela broke off diplomatic ties with Israel in January and President Hugo Chavez has expressed his support for Iran's nuclear programme.
