"My son's no terrorist..." says mom of MIA DC Muslim youth. A total of six Americans now under arrest.

She and her husband were in Pakistan ARRANGING THE MARRIAGE of her son Umar when he surprised them by joining them there. Right out of the blue!

Oh, and now her husband is also under arrest.

How convenient! Joining al Qaeda AND getting a bride - thus obtaining the perfect cover for his frequent trips to Pakistan. I can only hazard a guess what the bridal shower would have been like.

Okay. Maybe I am "assuming facts not in evidence"? Perhaps, but this isn't the first time this dodge has been used. Witness David Headley, the US citizen suspected in the Mumbai Terror plot and the Bali Bomber, Noordin Top, who both used women as cover for their terrorist activities.

From CNN:

In an interview with CNN, Subira Farouk said her son, Umar, was one of the young men detained in the case. She said her husband also was arrested, which would bring to six the number of people in custody. Police confirmed they have six people in custody, not five, as was originally reported.

Farouk said her son would never plot a terror attack. She described him as a business student at George Mason University in suburban Washington.

Farouk said she and her husband went to Pakistan to arrange a marriage for their son, who surprised her by traveling from the United States.

Also: A two man FBI team has arrived in Sargodha, Pakistan to interrogate the six men and now I'M confused. If the Pakistani authorities are identify the sixth American being detained as Khalid Chaudry, then what's going on with Subira Farouk's husband?

"We have also arrested Khalid Chaudhry, father of the two Pakistani-American brothers aged 22 and 25 years, who is also an American national and local leader of Jaish-e-Mohammad, for harbouring these five people."
