Friday's 7-minute eclipse of the sun worried some Muslim clerics in Somalia who urged people to pray for mercy, witnesses said.
The clerics called on people to close their businesses and rush to mosques to ask Allah for help, Shabelle Media Network reported. The morning eclipse -- the longest until Dec. 23, 3043 -- blotted out the sun throughout much of Africa before crossing the Indian Ocean into Asia, where it lasted 11 minutes.
And did you know that burying people during a solar eclipse will cure them? According to 'suspicious Pakistanis' that is indeed the case.
